    I had an early 60s firebird with P90s in it. It had a great tone to it, very articulate and the neck felt great. The only thing was I felt the neck was too heavy for the body or the ballance felt off

    Wow! I thought I saw a capo on the 2nd fret. Don’t let anyone ever give you a hard time again about using a capo. If they do, just show them this video. There are lots of valid musical reasons for going with one. If it’s good enough for one of the greatest guitar players of all time, it’s good enough for the rest of us!

      I'm sure near a hundred if not near 200. Not to mention the upper half of his collection is comprised of highly sought after vintage guitars. The cumulative value which is probably in the millions. Plus all the vintage amps, effects pedals, odds and ends all combined must be a cumulative value in a couple million.
      The only sad thing about that, like a vintage car museum, when you put what are irreplaceable original pieces all in one area, if something tragic were to happen such as a fire. We'd lose not one 59 Les Paul but a few. (Like the Nashville flood)
      I'm sure JB has one hell of an insurance policy. I'm sure his collection might be valued at more than his music...not to knock him.
      You have to remember that a lot of the gear he had were gifts or on some sort of "permanent loan". So he didn't have to buy them. Although many pieces he did.

    Vintage is not appreciated as those that are aware of truly fine craftsmanship; I'll wager the comment about kermits voice came from an air~guitarist. With all due respect

  • @angrytroll27
    @angrytroll27 Před 8 lety +48

    Sorry but I dont think Joe should be singing "Im just a poor man, working day by day" If someone has enough money for a 59 Les Paul standard and a room of vintage fender amps you are not a poor man. Granted buying a 59 LP can make you poor but WTF?

      He seems like a good guy, but I simply can't get into his music. To me, it just sounds like very generic blues, with overly "busy" guitar playing that is designed to be more showy than enjoyable.
