The girl with a gorgeous “Alto” voice is Ryssi Avila and she is a solo artist.
I would die to have these guys play on my wedding renewal. Rainbow is so famous in the philippines. It almost feels like a second national anthem.
This is really just a perfect congruence of very talented individuals. The arrangement make the song like a singsong conversation to include not just the singers, but the instruments too.. like they are talking to each other. Great great musicians.

I grew up with South Border songs. Great band, just struggled with constantly changing their lead singers. There's a good song Kahit Kailan that transitions from human voice to sax, so cool.

Micheal is like the Male counterpart of Morissette. He is very good in playing with his voice. It so pleasant listening with his singing. Now with a bunch of other talents. If you look for people who can sing per country, you May easily found a million in the Philippines. Almost every house, even in slums, you will find Videoke machines. 🇵🇭🥰

Anyway, the original artist South Border, is the OG RnB band in the Philippines. The vocalists(og one) mastered falsetto which is really airy(Jay durias) and head voice that it can hit note like saxophone(Luke Mejares).
The "ma'aaad.." part! I noticed that too. It was beautifully and effortlessly done.. it was so hard to emulate tho.
You should try hearing the original version because Jay Durias is silky AF
That female singer reminds me of Nora Jones. Silky sounds from everyone there.

SOUTH BORDER GROUP by Michael Pangilinan is one of my favorite group in Philippines...this is their original composition.... Very nice song.... Love it... There are many good singers in the Philippines...

Rainbow was originally sung by a Philippine band called South Border. Its a wonderful song, but ive been waiting for a new version of it for so long. I think this may be the one.!
