It’s nearly eleven years since I toured Egypt and the memories are still vivid. Every little thing makes an impression even if you’re not totally engrossed, it soon takes you over. They’ve had their trials and troubles but nowhere in the world is immune to that. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend you go.

I love Egypt and its people and culture - been there a few times. The only place on the list that I've never visited was Siwa Oasis. The only best part of Alexandria is the corniche where the tourist attractions. I did the Nile Cruise between Aswan and Luxor so I've seen all the main sites there. I've been to Dahshur, Memphis and Saqqara on a day trip. Cairo is one of my favourite cities in the world and yep Giza Pyramids are awesome. I prefer Hurghada over Sharm El Sheikh as my favourite Red Sea resort town.

Honestly i had a blast ! The pyramids , siwa and hurghada (diving and seeing corals and a lot of wild life was crazy) , i had seen comments about safety and scams but as a solo italian woman i felt quite safe actually. I heard if you are a vloger you have a complete diffrent experience tho since they had many bad experiences of vlogers being negative for the sake of views
oh this is the first time ive read about vlogger. I will be going next month as a 2 female travelers. Im not much of a vlogger but would like to do some. It's nice to hear reassuring things about its safety for females

It wasn't really an earthquake that caused the fall of Alexandria library, it was the Romans.
The lighthouse in Alexandria is the one that was destroyed because of the earthquake.
Caesar ACCIDENTAL burn was not the cause of the library, it continued being used for hundred of years (altpugh it declined in popularity).
The actual destruction of the library is unkown, it might have a been during a siege.
The lighthouse of alexandria fell due to an earthquake, and was than demolished and used (the stones) by the ottoman sultan to build the fort of alexandria (still standing today)

If ur going to Egypt I recommend going Sharm Mel sheikh because it is very safe there and there is a lot of tourists also it’s near the Red Sea which is good for scuba and snorkel
