oh my fucking god
this is simply amazing
Incredible !!!
This video is so good. The Cameraman didn't take stupid angles like everyone else does >.< For once, I can see everything he is doing :D I love who ever actually filmed this
Those harmonics!!!
esta cool
This is amazing
awesome!!!!! it is amazing chord!!!!
the end result of blazin' with a artistic river of talent.
was thinking that myself this stuff is absolutely brilliant id give a kidney just tl be able to play a guitar like this.
the part at like 1:10 blows my mind
2:08 Those harmonics are killing me
@1:07!!!! Can barely fathom that riff!
@thisiskhodiak Love to see you play like this.
I literally stopped breathing at 1:06 XD Amazing guy!
@AlexBigD A sound hole pickup. That particular one is a Sunrise pickup I believe. They aren't necessary, they just make it so you can plug your acoustic guitar into an amplifier. Mostly for performances. But you can learn without one. Good luck :)
Incredible! Is he related to Dan Mongrain of the tech-death band Martyr? They're both from Quebec. If he is, thats one hell of a musical family!
sweet
Don't be a fool, this is some A class playing.
this kinda reminds me to jack and dexter, this is awesome
@ritehand1 Said to be as fingerstyle.
See Don Ross, Andy McKee or Antoine Dufour
Worth seeing
@gogators925 ok ? i've been listening to Andy, Dufur, don ross and more. and i must say Erik Mongrain easily are up amongs any guitarist. they are all awesome in their way. i do love this song though, even more so than Drifting by Andy. but you know it doesnt matter, they are both insane on guitar and i /salute 'em both for standing up and sharing their music with this planet :)
Grateful for any feedback/tips on my cover of this! (see video response above)
If Hedges were still around, he'd be astonished
Yeah, his harmonic runs threw me as well.
Take a look at Jon Gomm. His song, Passionflower, will blow your mind!
I wanna learn this style of guitar, but I've noticed it seems like you need one of those things on the hole of the guitar. Whats it called? I know its some kind of sound amplifier, but idk what its called.
Wtf just happened? Was I the only one who was hypnotized?
@megalomaniac46 The answer you are looking for is "share"
What guitar brand is that?
anyone know the tuning for this ?
sounds like ancient.. cool..
Whats the Standard tuning?
I think it's a Kingslight acoustic.
@gogators925 Listen to all this guy's music, then tell me what you think of Andy McKee...
AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY HE CREATED MONGRAIN...
what make guitar is that
what kind of music would you say this is?
The Wooden Hendrix
I was reading threw some of the older posts. I saw a post stating that motivation = talent.
this is just my own thoughts on the matter BUT I have to disagree. Motivation = accomplishment. You honestly can take the most untalented person and teach them to play. IF.... they are motivated they can become very accomplished.
On the other hand I have met a couple "granted a very few" who were born with enough talent that motivation and drive had very little to do with their ability to play.
because the people looks at sungha -.-
Check out Andy McKee, then tell me what you think of this guy...
So some of justin bieber's songs have almost a billion views but this just about has over 30 thousand.......... people don't understand what talent is any more.
i didnt know tommy emmanuel had worthy competitors
ERIK MONGRAIN FOR FRANCE PRESIDENT 2013!
Practice every day for 4-6 hours a day 7 days a week, and eventually you will, painting needs talent, playing musical instruments needs alot of time and patience, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, talent has nothing to do with it,i know a guy who has the sense of pitch of a dead cat,and he can play like there is no tomorrow, why? cuz he spends most of the day practicing.
cuz most of them listen to justin bieber !
i would rather listen to this after blazin a blunt than that gay rap about " gettin bitches, or makin money" you know...i like actual talent, not auto tune
@megalomaniac46
cause its not that good
