    solar battery is called as c10 battery its normal used in solar offgrid system
    we have to buy solar battery as per the ampere of battery charging current .
    we need maximum ampere charging current need for solar charging system especial above 1kw system
    normal 20 % of charging ampere current needed for solar system
    below 20% current charging current ampere is not suitable for 1kw solar system
    we normal recommend solar battery not as per brand
    only customer need minimum 5 years of replacement warranty for battery
    it should be onsite warranty ( battery is very heavy compare to inverter so its not easy to take into service centre this heavy load ..)
    minimum 20 % charging current is recommended for any brand solar battery
    this is the minimal condition for buyer guide to select any brand battery .

    Normal C10and Solar C10, both are different.
    Normal C10 can be charged and discharged at maximum 10hr rate, eg: 150 ah C10 can be charge/discharge at 15 amps for safer and to get more longevity. However, solar C10 on the other hand, has different spine cells to accommodate more power, when considering 5 to 6 hours solar sun shine hours (daily basis). means solar battery can be fully charged from deep discharge to full from 5 to 6 hours of daily sunlight. So, it can be act like C5 battery, 20% charge and discharge rate for ex: 150 ah solar battery can accept/disperse 30 amps with no issues. And please charge solar batteries once in 30 days to make their gravity correct. Because it may not fully charge or make specific gravity from solar. If you have more panels then, no issues.
    We can compare two batteries from a famous battery manufacturer, Exide.
    There are two types of Exide C10 available on the market today
    # EL150/200 @ c10 rate, has 10% charge and discharge facility
    # LMS 150L/200L @C10 rate,has 20% charge and discharge facility.
    If you consider small solar setup like below 400watt panel configurations for single battery setup, then you can use normal c10, where the battery terminal gets only near 30amps from mppt and partial amos will be utilized for daily utility purpose and half for charging.
    20% charge rate solar battery (C10)must be used when you have more panels near 1500 or higher watts for 24 volt battery setup or up to 3000 watts panels for 48 volt battery bank.
    So, Solar battery has special spine plates and less internal resistance. Therefore, it will accept and discharge high amps without any problem. And produce less fumes even when they accept higher amps for charging. Therefore, their battery water will last near a year, and battery stays cool, not boils the water to dissipate the fumes.

    There are other batteries as well,
    # Lithium based
    Their charge/discharge rating are quite different though from acid leads/gels and AGM's
    They are rated at 1C, 3C, 5C and goes on like 60C etc. RC toys use high discharge C rated batteries.
    When calculating their charge/discharge amps
    For ex: 3.2 volt 6ah lifepo4 is rated at 3C.
    Means, total capacity 6ah × 3 (6 ×3 =18amps), 18 amps can be discharged at maximum, constantly.
    and we have a 24ah battery bank of lifepo4, for an instance, here we have 3.2 ×4 are in one string to make 12.8 @6 ah and 4 of those strings to make 12.8 volt @ 24 ah. So in this pack 24ah ×3 =72 amps can be drawn constantly, normally 3C batteries are used in electric vehicles and 1C rated batteries for solar purpose.
    High drain batteries for RC toys, vapors, e- cigarette battery lighters and power tools.

    Good information.
    I have recently installed 1 kw system. One battery is not enough as solar power cannot be used.
    My advice use 2 or 3 batteries 150 ah c 10/ solar battery and connect in parell ,
    for 1 kw 12 volt system. Advantage is that full solar energy is utilised. Iam getting the total charging current 50 to 60 amps resulting 10 to 15 amps for each battery at peak Sunny times.also taking the load of fridge and fan during daytime.

      C20 battery it's not recommend for solar purpose... It's cycle is very less compare to solar c10 battery... Within years your battery get spoiled easily
