The original was much alike but without that woman's voice, that rather ruins it
I know it is often confusing to outsiders.... "Eurovision" is a broadcast network, much like ABC, NBC and CBS.
It was, just like those networks, set up to provide programming to local stations, in this case local to European countries, on a Europe-wide basis.
Not something you can win. But, "the Eurovision Song Contest" is one of their major programmes, and probably the only one young people know about these days.
Now that sending broadcast TV over longer distances is nothing special anymore, Eurovision is not as visible as it used to be, and only a few of those programmes remain (the song contest, the new year's concert, the new year's day ski jumping event are the main ones)

But the Eurovision Song Contest is really a very big yearly thing in Europe since the 50’s of the last century, when it was created to promote European unity after WWII. Almost every European country (and some weird ones like Israel and Australia) select a song and singer or band to compete in this contest. So there are around 50 acts that compete in 2 half finales and about 25 in the real final, which is watched live on television by about 200 million people, and many more if you count online. The winning country is the host of the festival the next year. The Netherlands won this in 2019 after 40 years (of not winning)

I quite enjoy Within Temptation, Heidevolk (Dutch folk metal), and BLØF.
I agree with Suzette Bakelaar, watch the clip from Eurovision for This song by Duncan Laurence. Or check out one of his other songs; "Stars" or "Beautifull" are some of my favorites. Did you know that Duncan graduated from the Rock Academy in the Netherlands, just like Floor Janssen (Nightwish). One of Floors classmates is another great dutch artist called Danny Vera. His song "Rollercoaster" is perhaps best known but he has many great song to chose from (I recommend his Home-Isolation series)
If you like the sad songs, Eurovision has quite a few, like Germany 2018, Norway 2015, and Iceland 2011 to name a few. Also, I feel that the original is much better. The addition of Fletcher's vocals adds too much vocal theatrics to what is a very intimate song.
Advice: put the video somewhere else, like in the upper left corner, because now the subtitels are all over it and we can't see it. By the way, this is not the right version of the song. The harmonies of the duet are ugly, which the original is not. Watch the Eurovision version.
