Other people might find it pointless in doing so much work on a cheap bicycle, I on the other hand find it a complete labor of love and passion towards bicycling, dedication to hard work, and the value of reusing and bringing back to life with what you humbly own and have lying around the house. I especially appreciated all the work you did on removing the paint and a big thumbs up on the rust removal and prepping you did on the frame, people that quote "restore higher end bicycles or even vintage motorcycles and cars" don't even bother doing that much work and prep you did on that frame. I am the same way with my cheap and not so expensive beach cruiser I've had since I was 16 years old (I am 23 now), I could just get a new bicycle and not deal with repairs and parts replacement but that's what's fun about it, that bicycle has been through numerous changes from parts removal, newer parts installed you name it. Now I plan on straightening the frame and torch welding some new things on it soon. Your video also inspired me to fix my other bicycles lying around (Schwinn Traveler road bike from the 80's and a GT from the 90s) and building up some frames I have lying around (Puch Bergmeister frame from the 60's and Schwinn Moab frame from late 90s to early 2000s). Cheers from Southern California and keep up the good work, would love to see more restoration work, especially on a more vintage frame. Either way, I'll be watching more of your videos.👍👍👍👌

Yes except if you want that bike to retain any resale value in case you need to sell it you probably wouldn't want to respray it in one solid colour...
Me too I have a rare haro 16inch bike only needs a fresh paint job and wheels,a fully sanded 90s haro vector or escape with the bent bar that jus needs paint as well and a huffy granite that just needs a handle,stem and wheels I have a 20 inch beach cruiser with a straight handle that looks great she only needs a set of wheels and a clean up also bikes are awesome

Attached to the front fork is a concern. It may not expect to take such forces there.

Eso es ahí estamos restaurando no reciclando ahí eso es lo que hay que hacer restaurar siempre nunca reciclar, reciclar es igual a tirar a la basura ¡venga amigo que la vas a dejar como nueva! Una bici, merece ser cuidada, amada y respetada, por que es el mejor vehículo de ruedas jamás inventado por el hombre.

Why do all these people disassemble the bike and then clean it? Wouldn’t you want to at least hose the bike down before disassembling it and then properly clean everything?
Some 3rd world countries suffer from water shortages, thus preventing using hoses for washing vehicles and bikes. Or maybe they did it for dramatic effect. No way to know, really.

It's useless, it's better taking everything out and wash them separately already. The parts were washed with gas.

Like the Fred Flintstone breaks. Pretty sure they were pre 1980.
Those are cantilever brakes and they were popular in the early-mid 90s. I'm sure this is a 90s bike.
Now I'm curious about what happens when brake caliper mounts fail. Kids, please don't spray paint your chainrings.
Caliper mounts aside, many cheap cranksets come painted from the factory, so I don't see a problem with painting chainrings if that is what it will take to make an otherwise ratty looking crank look good.
Manufacturers definitely do not use rattlecan. Go ahead spray paint the teeth of your chainrings.
Mantaappp restorasinya om 👍. masukan aja. Qr hub ga akan kuat nahan posisi roda tetap pd tempatnya. Dropout semi horizontal/ horizontal, diperuntukan buat hub as baut, bukan as qr. Dijamin bakal geser om, atau qr cepet rusak. Parah2 nya roda copot pas ngerem krn momentum laju ke depan. Qr itu buat dropout vertikal. Btw keep up the good work. Salam pancal 🚴
