actually if i understand the solenoid right - It is not positive and negative pole but only disconnected positive poles which you are connecting with screw driver than the starter start working because it is grounded on engine.
tq, ur video help me a lot, recently i got same issue but with benelli panarea 125, same method were used, now its run normal back again! tq!!🎉, but yeah, its a little creepy with those spark
I have kinda the same issues when I touch them together it cracks but will not start up and when I press start it it won’t crack and there’s no power at all can anyone help me
So is this a good starter relay?? I broke down yesterday. The start button wasn’t doing anything with the clutch pulled in. The guy did this and the bike started. Starter motor or relay need replacing??
It definitely turned the engine over. The kill switch was probably in the off position. So it could crank and not start on him, demonstrating the solenoid jump but not being loud and over powering his voice.
So I tested it and it’s good I got spark but what if there is no power to the bike it’s self like the start button won’t work and the speedometer and fuel pump won’t turn on
I have that save issue I went to go on a group ride then went home bc my clutch cable snapped and I fixed it the I went to turn my bike on and I got no power to push start no horn or lights
So if I try to use my automatic start and it just clicks 1 time every time I press or hold with absolutely no sign of the bike wanting to crank does that mean the solenoid is bad. It’s a 2023 bike that’s less the a month old.
@@ReddBeBallin25 I replaced the start solenoid the battery and the starter and couldn’t get it to go. Turned out it was just a lose ground wire. I had already found 1 ground wire lose so I didn’t think it could of been a second one but it was.
@whiffff what is a ground wire ? My scooter is not starting with the electric button, I had to use the kick. Then I did the same than in the video but now it's not even starting with the kick :(
Is that not the relay, not the actual started solonoid? Not that it's not an important test. Either way you can do that to test both the relay and the starter solonoid, at least you can on a car.

True. Same as relays. Actually its a relay 😂

We are glad we could help!
If the bike cranks over when jumping the solenoid is the bike good ?

@@cbrown3921I'm having the no power problem.
@@cbrown3921same bro it cranks with jumping solenoid and makes rapid clicking noise with starter button, but won’t fire. You ever fix this?
Dead battery @@jakestegmuller1350
@@cbrown3921did you check to make sure the fuse is not blew ?
So if the bike cranks does the starter solenoid works or doesn't work?
???????
Not a negative.

this one is was good but the starter button could be bad.
Mine sparks but no motor noise and lights dim out. What does that indicate?
That’s what I’m tryna figure out
@@princewhite. I fixed my doubts and problems by getting a multimeter and checkin the DC voltage on my battery while off and on
@@princewhite. Basically I just had a bad battery
Battery
does it matter which way i wire the poles? the big bolt bits 😂 i took them off to rewire my bike, theyre not marked and i didnt photograpg
Yes because on is power in and one is out
I got spark from silonoid and it started up but not when I hit the start button
Same i saw somewhere it has to do with whats in the switch/button on throttle
Change relay
Replace relay
What’s the relay? The starter button on the handler bars? Change out the starter button? Confused
What if I don’t have a battery? If I use a car jump starter on with will it work?
To test a solenoid, you need a batter hooked up to the bike
How about if it doesn't start when to touch them together?
most likely bad battery
Same problem as me. I ordered a new relay screw it. It's 10 $ if not I have a backup
Does your new relay work? Cuz I have a push to start on my bike and I think this the problem
If it sparks is it confirmed a bad solenoid then?
No it's going to spark like if you would have touched two battery cables together are you listening to what he says
Pretty much
Ok so you never said if the starter solenoid is good or not. In your video it tries to turn the engine but doesn’t. What does that mean.
It definitely turned the engine over. The kill switch was probably in the off position. So it could crank and not start on him, demonstrating the solenoid jump but not being loud and over powering his voice.
What if it doesn’t do anything when you put the screw driver to both of them ?
Battery is probably dead
So mine is sparking but just keeps clicking any ideas what’s next to check?
Dead battery
What if it doesn't spark?
Then you have a problem.
@@OrionPowersportsok what’s the problem? 😭😭

You probly have a battery issue
Fuse
I have that save issue I went to go on a group ride then went home bc my clutch cable snapped and I fixed it the I went to turn my bike on and I got no power to push start no horn or lights
But it would try to crank if I push started it
My 07 bombardier 800r solenoid cranks over but won’t start why?
Good question, check spark.
What if theirs no spark
You might have another bad component then.

On this particular bike, a relay and solenoid is the same
@@OrionPowersports Thanks, makes sense to me.
I did this and the bike is now not even starting with kick anymore :(
Then you have some other kind of problem starter solenoid would not cause that
