You may have to start paying for your refills. McDonald's announced it was phasing out its self-serve beverage stations, planning to have them removed from locations across the country.

I already knew this is going to happen. We are reaching the end of the line when it comes to what you get free and complimentary thanks to the minimum wage increase resulting in fast-food restaurants to start charging for what was free and complimentary. That already happened when it comes to the sauce packets for the chicken nuggets. Next will be refills, straws, napkins, cups, lids, ketchup packets, plastic utensils and even the restrooms.

I can't remember the last time I actually refilled my drink cup when I ate at McDonald's in person. I usually always get a large and that's way more than I can drink because I end up taking it home anyway because I don't drink it all there.
