I'm always interested by the seeming assumption in all these American NVG videos that nobody else on earth has NODs. Until you realize that most of America's would-be rivals DON'T have NODs. The only conventional rival force that would be equipped with enough of them to warrant a change in doctrine is China, we used to think Russia as well but that obviously didn't turn out to be the case. And now that China seems to have the same night-time capabilities as the U.S., we ARE updating our IR tech.
