I’ve seen testing that implies the duration of exposure is much more of a concern, rather than intensity. Flashlights, flash bangs, accidental laser sweeps aren’t a huge deal, but leaving your nods uncapped and facing a window all day can leave burns.

I feel like most training we see assumes that there are less-trained enemies in non-booby trapped buildings who only have firearms. I have to imagine there are more advanced trainings against an equally trained/equipped team or houses that are prepared to take advantage of assumptions implicit in clearing tactics.
a basketball team doesn't play 5 on 5 every second of their practice. They set different looks up, they isolate certain things they might not be familiar with. They drill a drill over and over...etc.
Goes into the point of drilling so much that there is almost nothing you havent seen that you cant figure out in a real life situation. Guys like these drill to the point of near mastery. But then again, no such thing as “seen it all” in this environment.
