We call them the northern lights. At our cabin, which is on the border between the Yukon and BC, we enjoy seeing these beautiful lights several times each winter. I’ve awoken to our bedroom there being lit strangely and realized the sky was alive with dancing light. It’s cause for getting out of bed and skywatching! What a lovely spot to stay and experience them! Breakfast looked delicious! Reindeer must have been off with Santa! Tfs your holiday!

There is nothing nicer than a hot tub out in the freezing cold! It’s just a little tough to get out and into the warm apartment to change clothes. But worth it!

Those lights are beautiful! And that breakfast buffet looked amazing. Especially the fresh baked rolls. YUM! Thought for a second we was gonna lose Sue in the snow. She just kind of sunk down in there. The reindeer were cool and would be neat to pet, but I prefer to keep my fingers lol. Supposed to be exhilarating to get in a hot tub while it's cold out. But pretty sure I'd prob pass. Beautiful view from your window. What an awesome trip!

Hi there! I would love to know many nights you were at the Aurora Borealis Observatory and out of those nights, how many times did you see the Northern Lights?
We stayed for 4 nights and saw the northern lights 3 out of 4 nights because one night it was snowing. The staff were very friendly and offered personal service. If you want to do the huskys, bus tour or other trips, let the team know immediately you arrive so you don’t miss out as the time will fly by 😃 Trev
@@lisanamataneal2748 From our research, we narrowed it down to Norway or Finland between late September and early March. We spoke to a lot of people who had been to Iceland but not seen the Aurora. Getting within the Arctic Circle increases chances of sightings.
This was a valentines weekend away in February 2000. Literally 3 weeks before the lockdown madness started. We flew into Bardefoss airport and got a bus to Senja. Tromso is about 3 hours north by road and we know people who went there but we didn’t go. The roads twist and turn and there’s numerous tunnels. 😃 Trev
