    As a man in my mid 30s I would say we take the jobs that suck because someone has to do them. If you're out of work and have a family you'll take nearly anything if it pays well enough and has decent benefits. Most guys would rather their kids be raised by their mother and him when he's home than in a daycare, unless the woman wants to work. It's just a lot of the women I know personally, once they had kids they wanted to stay home. Guys usually don't mind that. We'd just rather have our family happy, whatever form that takes. No man likes the thought of his wife/girlfriend/fiancee struggling so we do those jobs. And yeah, you feel like shit after work. Everything hurts. Your mind may be scrambled eggs but you still do it because when you come home you're reminded why you do it.

      I think women understood back in the day that their husbands aren't making the 'best' money but is making just enough to provide for the family despite having many children so they have a somewhat regal life. The mother does a great job in being a mom, providing and doing house work because she is the master of the house in her own right while she understands her husband is sacrificing his physical health on the job so she is the one who is expected to comfort the man who has to deal with the world outside of the house.

    Men take the dangerous jobs for the same reason we get drafted and sent off to war: we're expendable. Ok, it's not the only reason. Size and strength play a role, too. Don't know if you've seen the bit yet or not, but Bill's bit titled "Titanic is a horror movie" touches on this aspect of life.

      yes and no, if you fuck with the balance then you get more women with nobody to impregnate them. So you have women that die and never produce offspring and the overall population drops. And also you have chad and tyrone that can now afford to fuck even more girls because bitched would rather jump on a dick than die virgins, even if they never get the commitment

    • @chrisd7047
      @chrisd7047 Před 2 lety +3

      @@kysfggt Under current social constructs, sure, you have a point, crassly stated though it may be.
      But you aren't doing the math. A near 1:1 balance isn't required. In a 9-month period, a woman can birth 1 baby (leaving room for the rare multiple births), but how many children can a male produce in that same 9-month time frame? Dozens? Hundreds?
      I'm not suggesting that killing off a huge percentage of the male population is a good idea, mind you, but it is a great deal less problematic than losing even a modest percentage of the women. Even if the birth capacity over the given time were the same, once she's pregnant the father is expendable but we have to keep the mother alive for at least the next 7 months.

      @@chrisd7047 yeah, in certain countries men are expendable (RUSSIA), but I don’t agree with that if you’re talking about the United States or the UK. A big reason why the birth rates are dropping in the west are literally because of these modern females. They are also high and mighty and have the biggest egos because of all the damn attention they get. As I’m sure you know you could be an ugly chick and you’ll still get attention. It doesn’t work like that for men. Thank God for us, men building the world and keeping it running. Younger women these days are so clueless. They don’t even realize everything. They basically touch drive and drive on live in was all made by a man, but most still have no respect. All that takes for them to act like that is hooking up with a top 10% man and then they think that’s the only kind of men they should be with for the rest of their lives even if they are fives or lower. 🤦‍♂️🤣

    There are women who get lonely being at home and feel they even as women have their own sense of spirit of adventure that they can't express stuck mainly at home with the kids. Women made out like men were trying to oppress women by protecting/providing, but Men were just playing to their sex's strengths that are geared toward competition and providing. Women's strength has been the maternal instinct which most normal women feel/have and is perfect for caring for the children at home. Men didn't want a war of the sexes that would see women choose careerism/adventure over having a family or letting men feel like a provider, but women's collective identity politics pushed that on men and pushed men out of their sense of purpose/place as a helpful proud provider for his wife.
    If women really are so powerful and independent, then why do they seek "ally" males to defend them for criticism and from threat? Men still defend women's politics in spite of having had their provider role sense of place and purpose for their male physical qualities destroyed. Men will defend women even when less and less is reciprocated/returned, it's a problem because women are a mate commodity all men seek where as most men don't get selected as a partner. Only 40% of the worlds men pass on their genes compared to 80% of women. So the population is sustained on less than half of men, that makes 60% of men worth less than women. That is not equality.

    • @bmorg5190
      @bmorg5190 Před rokem

      I swear.. the number has got to be so high. I would say 85% of these modern females are absolute idiots these days and they don’t know a damn thing. All they know is social media and putting half naked pictures on Instagram and then calling them selves models 🤣🤦‍♂️ don’t even realize men make the whole world go around and have built literally every damn thing that the females are enjoying. If you pull a group of 10 modern females and buy a club and ask them to name like five countries, they can’t even do it. Yes, there are some men that wouldn’t be able to do it either but it’s way worse with the females. On top of that daylight to act masculine. Nothing more than us men hate then when women act masculine. Biggest turn off. Chances are they will find you creepy to begin with. Nothing will actually be creepy. It will just be in there massive ego head. Then they will ask you to change your flat tire or change their oil. 🤣🤦‍♂️ the ones that don’t need. No man will lose their vehicles because they will blow up. 🤷‍♂️🤣 the ones here in the west say “LIKE” every other damn word anyways. Not even realizing how stupid they sound. “I FEEL LIKE” is used to start off with whatever they’re going to say the majority of the time. They don’t run off of facts they runoff of their feelings. 🤷‍♂️🤮

We'd go out there every summer for a few weeks and while my brothers and I were out in the field from 6 to 6 my sister, mother, and great-aunt would spend the exact same amount of time washing clothes by hand, hanging laundry, preparing meals, and washing dishes. Other jobs like setting up the event and tear down, standing outside to drum a business where unsurprisingly overwhelmingly vacant.

    The reason why women wanted to start getting jobs is financial independence. Women were stuck at home and if they were in an abusive relationship they had no way of leaving because they had no money and had to rely on a man. There are pros and cons when it came to being a stay at home mom. Jeez, if my wife made enough money to support us both I'd stay home and take care of the kids though, sounds like a sweet gig.

But women who decide to be homemakers spend the most time with the kiddos and have the big responsibility of teaching children how to be productive members of society. I remember comedian Chris Rock saying that if the kiddo can't read, it's Mom's fault. And if the kiddo can't read due to the light's being off because the bills weren't paid, it's Dad's fault.

    @3:00 why do men take harder jobs.
    answer: Money. One of the issues with "women make less than men" is that men take more risk and dangerous jobs. (not saying women don't get paid less in certain industries). There is also culture. Men, culturally, don't have the option to stay at home with the kids, its like a mark of shame for many men. They need to be the provider. Additionally, many of these jobs are legacy jobs. Their parents did it (or something similar) so they do it. That means coming from a time when jobs for more defined by gender.
    "why were women complaining"
    Part of the issue is women had no real options for work. At least in a way that can support themselves. As a result they had to stay in unhappy marriages (and hurry into marriage) otherwise move back in with their parents or into a dormitory. In the US they had very few individual rights, even after being able to vote, they couldn't really get a loan, some places even drive. This is like 1930s-1940s time as well, not like 1800s or something.
    Pittbulls get a bad rap. They are actually giant babies. its just when they nip, like many does do, it isn't something people ignore like minipoodles or chihauhas, those are little demon shits.

Men and women are built differently down to their very cores, including differing motivations and desires. besides what is more empowering than literally bringing a life into this world, and then raising your child to become a fully fledged adult?? Motherhood is fairly easy if you only do the bare minimum (keep the child alive), but challenging to do well. Same with fatherhood. But still a hilarious routine, and you are adorable Georgia.

    Interesting side note, i recently was listening to Bill's podcast, and he was eulogizing his pit bull who had recently passed away. I am assuming it's the same one he's talking about in the special. Either way, it was very obvious that he really loved that dog.

      @@cowboyjohnn Yes, when they had their first child they tried to introduce the dog to it and they didn't like the reaction the dog had, so they sent the dog to live on a farm or ranch, but Bill said that he would go visit that dog weekly whenever he was in town.

    Dogs have evolved alongside us, so just like big people their size in itself imposes fear/respect. We had a Jack Russell terrier and they're smallish so she always felt the need to impose respect through violence. She'd chase cats, rabbits, start fights with other neighbors' dogs when out for walks. Size didn't matter. She'd pick up fights with Great Danes, which are about the size of a Shetland pony, while the dogs barely registered her presence. They were basically like "Yes yes, you're tough and imposing. Run along now, dear. You're ruining my morning shit."

    i think you made a good point that gets overlooked in the equality topic. if a woman wants to take a career path and do a difficult job all power to her and she should have the same opportunities and get treated equally if she does the job. but it also means in my oppinion that there are people that want to be a housewife or man and there is nothing wrong with it. you do you

    on the point of protection dogs and big and small dogs. i grew up with dogs my whole life and my parents are both dog trainers and the thing with small dogs is often that they just arent trained properly and often even encouraged by their owners and rewarded for their behaviour. its a bit like the thing you said in the other video about men "knowing" their strength and learned that restrained. like when a man oversteps his boundaries hes probably getting a punch or to. a big dog is often reminded by their owners that they shouldnt attack or something. comes back to training

    Women being housewives was not the reality of all women. That was a middle to upper class phenomenon. Working class women worked pretty often and in more primitive societies women tended to do work outside of the home as well.

    We don't necessarily pick these jobs it's just that someone has to do it and these jobs require a specific amount of strength to actually do these jobs. To be a firefighter you have to be able to carry a dead weight of 250 pounds for 100 yards. Most women and men can't perform this task. Lives are being saved and it requires a certain strength to save these lives. It's not chauvinistic, it simply requires a specific strength. These jobs need doing, and there is no way around it. We men show our love by these means!!!

    "I think it was better in the olden days, why would you want to change that?"
    Well, I'd personally like not to have compulsory enrollment in dangerous activities xD
    I vaguely remeber a digital article in IEEE Spectrum about reassessment of workplace safety for engineering positions and construction sites in one of the scandinavian countries back in 2012.
    The study began to identify the reasons behind increased number of workplace accicents for women after an initiative for women in engineering had started.
    It turned out the numbers reflected a proportion shift with women taking on jobs and roles that traditionally were held by men.
    And the punch in the guts was that the overall accidents to hours worked ratio decrease in total, showing they were performing better in the tasks at hand.
    So by moving in and taking over they've made the workplace safer for everyone.

    2:38 yes, we do wear ourselves out and we are exhausted all the time. We take the jobs because they are more available and pay more than other jobs we would be qualified for. Women's level of education is higher than men's, they get preferential treatment in many industries (nursing, childcare, clothing and fashion, etc.) because they are the things they are more comfortable doing. Men do the other stuff because women don't want to and someone has to so the pay usually "makes it worth it"

    You're a breath of fresh air I'm glad I found this channel.
    Not all old ideas are bad ideas. Men going out to work whilst women raise the kids and look after the house is a good system.
    Not all women want to be stay at home mothers and that's fine but generally I think it's a good idea.
    You're absolutely right. Men do the difficult jobs which is part of the reason they get paid more on average.
    But you'll notice feminists aren't campaigning for equal representation in sewer cleaning or waste management. They're all under a delusion that CEO and upper management jobs are easy when in reality you have to work 80 hours a week.

  • @Borrelaas
    @Borrelaas Před 2 lety +1

    2:30 Men do these jobs for two reasons, either to provide for themselves and their family because the jobs pay well, or to make themselves financially attractive to a potential partner. It might be a bit reductive, but thats my take
