Hey Georgia, just so you know, not only does this iconic comedy bit run on a continuous loop at the Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, but Abbott(the straight man on the right) and Costello(the comedy relief on the left) are the only two people who have had nothing to do with baseball(playing, coaching or managing) that are in the Baseball Hall Of Fame!!

When Al was referring to Marcy with all of thos poultry jokes is because she acted like a chicken. A majority of the jokes were written by the female comedians on the sets that Ed O Neil would roast in the show. I remember when Al went to the UK, yook off his shoes and put his feet to cool off in the lake only for all the fish to float up to the surface dead XD. Also NOMAAM.

One of the biggest jokes of this sketch which is almost always missed, is that the opinion that is expressed by the lady regarding Britain rejoining the Gold Standard for currency was actually heavily debated and shown that staying off the Gold Standard was actually better for the economy, so her opinion is right and the men's is entirely wrong. A typical demonstration of what happens when you judge an argument by the person making it, instead of the actual argument :) Enjoyed your reaction ladies :)
