  • Great Andrei Korsakov plays S. Rachmannov, Romace op. 6 for the Russian TV.
He was one of the greatest russian violin virtuosos of the 20th century, and he died young in 1991 short before becoming an international star. Here a deep interpretation of the Romance op. 6 by S. Rachmaninov. Yolanta Miroschnikova plays piano.

Absolutely incredible violinist and musician. I wish I had discovered him earlier. What a tragic loss to the world. Rest In Peace Andrey.

Whenever I hear this performed by anyone, great, emerging, or a talented amateur, I return to this, feeling like I've heard what it's meant to be

Thank you for the post. His early passing made a big gap in the Russian violin school. I was lucky to hear him live and give him greatful flowers. He and Guidon Kremer were my two favorite violinists at that time.
AFAIK, Iolanta Miroschnikova is Natasha's mother.

It is indeed a rare privilege to be able to listen to such refined interpretation by such stalwarts.
I wish I am able to play with such expressiveness.
The violin & the piano exhibit the quintessence of intimate salon music.
My deepest gratitude for the kind upload.

As far as I know he died of a heart attack in his car when leaving for Yaroslavl for a concert. It was a great shock!

Great violinist - such heart-felt playing. Very touching. Is he related to Natasha Korsakova?

Корсаков потрясающий скрипач очень интеллигентный, но Безродный мне больше нравится в исполнении Рахманинова
