el mejor cover de esta cancion que hay en youtube,,, tutalento no es para cualquiera.. es por eso que tienes tan pocos subs y vistas a tu video...saludos y un abrazo a la distancia...
The hit song American pie Everything must have been going through the way poeple lived as the song was sung there must have been true so every time we hear this song no matter where we are all of us will be really be happy and alot of us will actually know the words to the songs we will sing along with the song itself 👍🏆💯
I've been looking for "CZcams" so far, but I've never heard a song that's as sincere and accurate as you. Other than Don McLean's official album, you sang better than Don McLean.
Just came across this cover today in 2022! A good cover Dude! Don't know why so few likes. But I like your work. A bit nostalgic for myself too. Thank you.
A long, long time ago I can still remember how that music Used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But February made me shiver With every paper I'd deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride Something touched me deep inside The day the music died So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" Did you write the book of love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so? Now, do you believe in rock 'n' roll Can music save your mortal soul And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that you're in love with him 'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym You both kicked off your shoes Man, I dig those rhythm and blues I was a lonely teenage bronckin' buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck But I knew I was out of luck The day the music died I started singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" Now, for ten years we've been on our own And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone But that's not how it used to be When the jester sang for the king and queen In a coat he borrowed from James Dean And a voice that came from you and me Oh, and while the king was looking down The jester stole his thorny crown The courtroom was adjourned No verdict was returned And while Lenin read a book on Marx A quartet practiced in the park And we sang dirges in the dark The day the music died We were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" Helter skelter in a summer swelter The birds flew off with a fallout shelter Eight miles high and falling fast It landed foul on the grass The players tried for a forward pass With the jester on the sidelines in a cast Now, the halftime air was sweet perfume While sergeants played a marching tune We all got up to dance Oh, but we never got the chance 'Cause the players tried to take the field The marching band refused to yield Do you recall what was revealed The day the music died? We started singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" Oh, and there we were all in one place A generation lost in space With no time left to start again So, come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick Jack Flash sat on a candlestick 'Cause fire is the Devil's only friend Oh, and as I watched him on the stage My hands were clenched in fists of rage No angel born in Hell Could break that Satan spell And as the flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite I saw Satan laughing with delight The day the music died He was singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" I met a girl who sang the blues And I asked her for some happy news But she just smiled and turned away I went down to the sacred store Where I'd heard the music years before But the man there said the music wouldn't play And in the streets the children screamed The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed But not a word was spoken The church bells all were broken And the three men I admire most The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died And they were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" They were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die”
This is fantastic. There are too many covers with posers using effects and changing melodies and arrangements when the song doesn't need it. Your cover here is brilliant. You've got an excellent voice and your playing is spot on. You've done a great song justice by playing it as it should be. I really enjoyed this. Nice one, mate.
wow... this is amazing! best cover I've ever seen... from now on, this is my favourite version of this song. Yes, I did like more than the original. Sorry for my broken english. Parabéns cara, você tem muito talento.
I can’t sing this in G like you and Don McLean. My voice is too low. I sing it in C. It’s not an easy song to sing with lots of words and no instrumental breaks. Plus, for those of a certain age, we have heard it played so many times, anything off from the original is obvious. Great job!
FINALLY !!!! Someone who got the chord progression, cadence, phrasing and rhythm correct !!!! 3 thumbs up !!!!
Cheers!! 🍻
I have a Taylor 210ce Plus Acoustic-electric
Guitar - Natural Dreadnought….
Very close to the same sound as the Taylor you’re playing.
Thank you all for listening and for the kind words. Cheers!
MadStrummerDad SOUNDS SO PRETTY ❤🖒✌
What cords did you use for the intro?
Fantastic cover!!
Nice cover Sir!
@@maryf3201 Thank you Mary!
Its been a few years, still the best cover out there.
true
'You touched deep inside'. Bravo, from Italy.
He doesn’t sound like McLean but himself, which is still the best cover on CZcams
i love this!! ❤️
Of all the covers on American Pie this is my most favorite!
Perfect guitar and voice. The best cover that i ever had. I enjoyed. Thanks
Oh man, that's awesome!
You sound like don mclean himself. Great job man. Cheers!
Not even close lok
Not at all, lmao
Canta muito melhor do que muitos famosos que tentaram cantar esse clássico.
That's simply awesome, just like Don McLean. Cheers from Brazil!
One MadStrummerDad, one western guitar, one of the greatest Hits of all time - I don't need more! I really like it.
Amazing. I never thought I'd say this but I think this is not only as good as Don's version but possibly even better. Phenomenal work man :)

I don't know much about technical skill (I'm tone deaf), but dude you captured most of the feeling in the song. Awesome!

Wow! very nice ☺😍
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music
Used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now, do you believe in rock 'n' roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym

Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Now, for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone
But that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lenin read a book on Marx
A quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now, the halftime air was sweet perfume
While sergeants played a marching tune

Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most

Wow this is underrated!! Your voice bring back so many memories for some reason
You sing extremely well AND without doing random tryharding voice ornementation, and that's becoming rare!! Bravo
Extremely well? He sounds nice, and of course he doesn't to them, they are not in the song and they would ruin the feel
Great voice, and a great song
