The focus on Adrien's home life and Nathalie's motivations, the flipped love square, AND the miraculous swap.... such a good episode. And on top of that. They allowed Mister Bug to really shine. He comes up with the whole plan and saves the day.

Just to clarify how messed up the love square is: Marinette still has feelings for Adrien but is trying to ignore them because "it only causes disasters", as in "Strike Back"... so she's trying to focus on her newfound feelings for Cat Noir (even though it's impossible for them to have any kind of relationship with each other without revealing their identities). Adrien, on the other hand, has already accepted that Ladybug is a friend (he's been rejected so many times that it doesn't make sense to keep pursuing her) and is now in love with Marinette, so there's nothing stopping him from pursuing her
So, the main difference is that Marinette still has strong feelings for Adrien but is trying to ignore them and focus on Cat Noir, while Adrien is in love with Marinette and has already come to terms with the fact that he and Ladybug are partners and friends.
I know I'm late to commenting on this, but in case nobody else mentioned it:
The reason the Gabriel is being affected so strongly by the Cataclysm is because Ladybug wasn't able to use the "Miraculous Ladybug!" that resets everything. So, the injury he suffered is still there. That's the reason why the end of that episode where Monarch was Cataclysmed had both Ladybug and Car Noir so sad.
As a reminder: Cat Noir asks, pretty much begs, Ladybug to use her ability but she says Monarch left with her lucky charm so she can't fix it.
Also, to make it clear, Cat Noir(Adrien) Cataclysmed Monarch(his own father). So, that means that if Gabriel dies from the injury, it will technically mean Adrien killed his own father.

Ladybug believes her love for Cat Noir is great because she first met him like a friend and the friendship made them closer so now she can easily tell him what she wants, unlike Adrien she always struggles in her words. Adrien thinks loving Ladybug isn’t right because he doesn’t know the real her, while with Marinette he knows her really since the beginning till now
Not you forgetting Cat Noir was Adrien and Marinette was ladybug in this episode 😂, I also love that Nathalie was a badass in this episode (EXUSE my language) and I absolutely love her and everything she’s trying to do for Adrien especially with Gabriel on the verge of dying at any moment and Adrien being freed, Adrien is definitely gonna need her in some future episodes

There is also a theory that it's because he is a sentimonster cuz when one gets cataclysmed it doesn't die it just malfunctions

This episode is definitely one of my favorites out of the ones that have aired so far in this season! I’m glad I finally got to sit down and watch your reaction to it!! Not only did this episode mark the return of Misterbug and Ladynoire (which I was really hoping we’d get to see their full transformations in their civilian clothes, but I understand timing restraints and everything), but we also got to see more glimpses into Nathalie, Gabriel, and Emilie’s past. It’s honestly pretty heartbreaking to see that the only person that Nathalie really fell in love with was Gabriel. The fact that she remained by Gabriel’s side even when he got married and started a family just makes it even sadder. She honestly deserves better because Gabriel has really turned into such a horrible, selfish person over the years. He doesn’t deserve to make a wish. You’ll soon learn that he’s probably the biggest hypocrite ever, but I won’t say anything more than that. I hope Nathalie eventually betrays or double crosses Gabriel so that he doesn’t get his hands on the miraculouses. That would be such a girl boss move lmao 😂
Also: the power of the goat gives the user the power to create any ordinary object they want, but they aren’t able to make it magical or anything. This episode kinda contradicts that though since Nathalie uses it to make a magical gun that can shoot out rays that contain the powers of some of the other miraculouses. I honestly don’t understand why this power exists when it’s so similar to the lucky charm. It some ways, it kinda feels more overpowered than the ladybug miraculous since it can create any object the user wants, while the power of the ladybug only creates random objects that the user has to figure out how to use to win the battle, but then again, the lucky charm can create magical items while the goat only creates ordinary objects, so who even knows at this point. This is definitely a miraculous that I would give a different power if given the chance.
Overall, this was a really great episode in my opinion! It was really awesome to see the reverse love square in full swing and things just even spicier from here! I can’t wait to see you react to the next few episodes! I think you’ll like them a lot! Hopefully episode 11 will have aired by the time you get around to watching episode 10 because that episode is meant to be a two parter and so far, only part 1 is available. The currently available episodes after episode 10 were aired out of order and they spoil some pretty major plot points so I really hope that those gaps are filled in by the time you get to that point in the season! Besides episodes 1-10, episodes 12, 16, and 18-20 have aired, so there are quite a few gaps that currently exist in the season which kinda sucks. Maybe one of these days we’ll get a season that’s aired in the correct order, but I highly doubt it at this point lol 😂

There's an interesting tidbit in the original dub regarding pronouns. Throughout the show, Nathalie and Gabriel addressed each other with formal pronouns, same with Nathalie and Adrien. During the kitchen scene, she sarcastically asked if she should start calling him with "tu", a more casual/regular pronoun.
At the end of the episode while she's talking with Adrien, she suddenly switches to using "tu" as well. Symbolizing that she's no longer treating Adrien like just a duty or a responsibility, but accepting her role as a motherly figure.
I'm kinda sad that doesn't happen in the italian version
I'm Italian and Nathalie uses the formal pronoun "lei", and uses it at the end of the episode too
So basically the cataclysm is killing you, but becs Gabriel had his costume when he was cataclysmed the effects weren't so strong to say so.
Idk If you know or not but the costume that the holders have when they are transforming is protecting them very much.
Otherwise ladybug and cat noir would be done(dead or badly hurt) if someone would lets say throw them very hard into a wall(I put this example becs they were thrown a lot into walls,lol)but becs of the costumes the damage they taken isn't so big.(basically the costume the miraculous gives you is plot armor)
So how Monarch was cataclysmed when he was transformed the effects weren't so deadly, if he wouldn't have been transformed and wouldn't had the costume then the damage would be much wore and deadly.
But even wich the costume the effects are deadly, but they are deadly over time.
When cat noir was cataclysmed he was shortly cataclysmed before ladybug fix it, that why it wasn't a so big deal( well I mean it was actually a deal to say so becs even wich the costume it hurts terribly.
I mean you can see how cat noir was after the cataclysm and how Monarch screamed and his hand is shaking now)

remember in Risk gabriel gave natalie te ring and said "i entrust my son to you", or someting like it was risk or strike back but in the S4 gabriel gave her the ring
The Miraculer episode is what makes me think Gabriel is also a Sentimonster. Any normal person, the Cataclysm would kill, but lore-wise, Cataclysms with only damage Senti-monsters. So when Adrien (A Sentimonster) was Cataclysmed, he just got damaged, he had trouble jumping, Ladybug even said she will use her Ladybugs to heal him (If she hadn't, I guarantee when he de-transformed he'd have a Black Spot on his chest that would spread) Gabriel's injury is very similar to Adrien's, so I think Gabriel is a Sentimonster too. Along with the meaning of his last name "Agreste" which means "Rustic" - made in a plain and simple fashion. Example: Rustic Pottery. Also, there was the line that Adrien was told by his mother that She and Gabriel came from different worlds (He probably thinks that means social class, but it's probably literally 2 different worlds)
12:36 - adrien mom got damaged by the peacock makings a sentimonster, and in coffin,,
Now Natalie used the peacock miraculous and she still coughing sosomething, and that why she wearing that robot suit to protect her from fallings, and maybe she will be like adrien mom,
