- These steps are for MMI 3G Low with the 6.5 inch low resolution display. Not for the MMI 3G high or plus.
Compatible with A4B8/A5/Q5/A6C6/Q7(2009-): MMI 3G Low Basic Navigation (BNav_EU_xxxxx)
PXXXX - Factory installed firmware (the firmware that comes with the car)
KXXXX - Firmware updated later
South European maps to an SD card on a Win10 PC.
Makes the route calculations much faster and the access to the maps quicker if you use the SD card instead of the DVD. It also increases the lifespan of the expensive DVD drive since without DVD it does not wear off the laser.
After the copy on Windows is complete, just insert the SD card on the SD card slot 1 of the car. The navigator should read it properly.
In this case an 8Gb SD card is enough because the Europe cartography is splitted in two parts. Only one was copied to the SD card. Currently you cannot have both even with a larger capacity card. It seems a technical limitation of the software.
Since my MMI already had firmware 261, there was no need to update it. Using K0260 would in fact downgrade it.

Certain cars have a "pseudo" type of MMI. These are the Audi A3 (8P), A4 (B6 and B7), A6 (C5), TT (8J), the R8, SEAT Exeo and Lamborghini Gallardo - when fitted with the RNS-E DVD based "Audi Navigation Plus" system. Whilst appearing to be a similar layout, and operating in a similar manner, these two systems are very different, are unable to share mapping discs or software, and are not able to control non-ICE functions (such as climate, convenience or suspension settings).

Thanks for sharing. Its not working in my Audi Q7. I tried downloading the update from the link and install it in Audi Q7 2015 (Europe /UK map update). The version currently installed in my car is "MHI2_ER_AUG22_S2140" and Nav Database version is V03959801PR0166 ECE 2018". It keeps giving an error message "No valid update data found on the medium". Can you help / guide please

No! P0261 and K0260 are exactly the same Firmware! P is production, K is Consumer Service. There wouldn't be a downgrade. The lifecycle of the MMI 3G has ended, the 0260 will be the last Firmware.
Thank you. I was not aware of that fact. I had assumed that P0260 was the production version of K0260
I have a audi q3 2011, can I use this navigation and activator also, or should I use something else? And if I need something else what do I need?
I have no idea. I think there were at least 3 different navigation models for Audi in 2011. That gives you a 33,3% change that it works. You really need to find out details about your navigation model/version.

Just turn the radio on and tune a station. It will play music. Or put MP3 on an SD card. Or sync the mobile phone over bluetooth. No cables are necessary. If you have a jack input, then a 3.5mm Stereo cable.

It might be the basic or the high. Does it have google maps and internet?
Can i put in a4 b8 facelifit from 2014 with soft version bNav_EU_P0256_D1 the new maps without updating the software version?

I would say yes you can, but without 100% certainty. Try to follow the procedure I did of just updating the maps. The firmware update is for bug corrections and does not add any new feature.

Hello I have imported a car from Japan to Germany (Audi Q5 Hybrid 2013 model). It uses HN+_JP_AU3G_PO384 navigation version. Is it possible to convert the region from Asia to Western Europe through an update? Thanks a lot.

Eu saquei 3 ficheiros .rar e 7z que aparecem no video aos 1:01 minutos. Tenta sacar de outros links que sugeri nos comentarios anteriores. Ou carrega no link com o botao direito e escolhe Guardar como.

You do not need any "green screen" in this video. I think you are referring to the engineering menu. To enter this menu, you need to hold the Car and Set up buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
@@arpcpro my problem is the AMI device which isn’t recognized by the MMI, it appears device not connected while the AMI Is functional in my phone, I saw a video where I have to open a green screen which is hidden to diagnose the problem of AMI

I am not sure what you have downloaded. If you have an *.ISO file, you can burn it to a DVD. Otherwise, just install 7zip and uncompress the ISO. Uncompress your downloaded files more than once if necessary.
@@arpcproOk thanks, but I have already fixed it as the files were corrupted so I unzipped them and that's it. But I bought the DVD to install it I did everything and did not read it, then I did it by SD card and it goes perfect. PD: I did it with the Bnav_K0260_1_D1 version and it works perfectly.
@@vokdbs1175 It's good to know you got it working. The DVD player can be picky about the burned DVD-R/+R, especially if it already has some dust on the laser. I always burn the DVD at the slowest possible speed. Using the SD card you save the life of the laser and the loading and route calculations are much faster. Because it is only a matter of time before the player starts having problems reading even the original DVDs.
@@Everything-One Yes, but I think the MMI 3G Low does not read DVD+R DL, as the maps take up more than 5 GB. The DVD I had before was the original one with the 2018 maps and it read it perfectly.

Sim, dá para gravar em DVD dual layer. Caso contrário tem que se manter o cartao no slot SD1. Mas com a cartografia no cartão de memória o sistema é consideravelmente mais rápido a arrancar e a calcular as rotas. Além do facto de que poupas o laser da unidade DVD de desgaste.

Não sei pôr radares no MMI 3G Low/Basic. Se descobrires algum procedimento diz-me, que eu faço um video. Não tenho tempo para fazer videos em portugues. No PC, liga as legendas no botão CC, e seleciona Auto-translate para Português.

I did this tutorial to get the 2021/2022 maps, then over the months, I bought the Audi 5.34.2 version (Maps 2022) and it doesn't make much difference. Not very essential to update

Veio com o carro do concessionário. Se reparares tem a P0261 e nao a K0261. A letra "P" indica que veio assim de fábrica e nunca foi actualizado. A letra "K" indica os nossos upgrades DIY.

@@valetelobitolobito8273 Possivelmente será o cartão SD que não foi bem preparado com os ficheiros correctos, ou não foi formatado em FAT32, ou é um SDXC e não um SDHC. Como pode ver no video ao minuto 2:45, eu não preciso de fazer nada. É só inserir o cartão, ligar o GPS, e aparece logo a pergunta "Instalar base de dados".
Ya amigo mas no meu ponho o cartão e só aparece a controlar suporte dados. Aguarde e não sai daqui já fiz de tudo e se fizer instalar os mapas quando faço start download e depois vai para o start carrego e não dá 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
@@valetelobitolobito8273 Pode ser várias coisas, inclusivé cartao defeituoso. O cartão tem de estar formatado em FAT32 para funcionar. Use um SDHC no maximo com 32Gb. Formatar o cartao com o SD Formatter, e depois testar o cartao com o h2testw.
