  • PERFECT SEAL Toilet Gasket / yes or no!!!
I used this product from Danco products to solve the following issue:
Toilet flange 1 3/8" below finished floor height!

Make sure to mention to remove the black cover inside the seal. I’ve seen mistakes be done that way lol

2 words. "Fluid Master" and that's it. No wax No difficulty No fail. I put one in 5 years ago, and its solid. No pun intended.

Not criticizing, but there is a plastic collar they use with shipping to help keep the form of the wax, that is supposed to be removed... it looked like you still had it installed...if you or anyone have experienced any leaks, it would be because the collar was not removed... if not removed, the wax cannot get pushed further into the drain hole to seal... that would result in why you did not feel that "flat"connection when you pushed down... the collar was preventing it...

I just installed 2 toilets using it and it works great!

This works great, as long as the flange is low enough the toilet will still sit flat. I had to use that self leveling concrete to fix a floor below one toilet that had leaked and warped the floor, that is the only gasket that would not leak. The other toilet where the flange was on top of the floor, wouldn't allow the toilet to sit level, I had to use the standard wax gasket. I'd of rather used perfect seal, and their website says that black plastic insert should be removed.
