- This is my first time at New Jersey Motorsports Park Lightning. Practiced this track on the sim which helped sooo much when driving this track for the first time in real life. Easily the best track I've been to.

Lightning turns 1 and 7, I go fifth to third directly heal toe.
for turn 1 I stay in fourth and before turn 7 I barely don't have enough power to hit fifth lol

hey man nice content you got on your channel very inspiring stuff, I've been doing autox on and off since 2018 and about to possible no my 1st track day next Etown road course, how was it there for you the the 1st time as well as the poconos and njmp, and do you do drive you car to and from the track? thanks a bunch and advance.
appreciate it! etown is a fantastic layout but the surface is honestly complete garbage lol. that being said it's like $125 for up to 5 sessions, it's the cheapest way to get track time hands down.
Pocono is decent I'm just not in love with the layout they run at tnia, the brz is out of its element there.
njmp lightning is god tier lol love that track so much
Both NJMP tracks are really fantastic. Hopefully I bump into you the there sometime.

By the way, try clipping more of the turn 1 apex, ride the bump... It's definitely the fastest way around. Otherwise your line looks pretty good, bet you could get to the 1:18 area with a bit of practice. Great driving.

I'll have to try that! I usually try to just barely graze it bc my suspension gets rly upset if I hit that curb lol

I have thought about it! it may be tricky to place it on the video without blocking the view of the track or have to put the "mirror" somewhere weird like the bottom right

Ah I was supposed to go to this event. It would've been my first track day. I will be there for the SCCA track night on August 17th if you're coming back. Good racing. Did you practice in AC or iRacing or....?
yep I'll be there! I practice in ac, haven't tried iracing bc of that pricetag lol

@@dadhats That's the way to do it. We have very similar setups. I have the DD Pro tho cause I wanna play me some GT7 once PS5 is msrp for once. So...maybe once PS6 is being released? playing the long game. Yea you should totally do some content with it.
This is a high speed track. I like Pocono Raceway better.

Great video! I just posted a video of my first track day at Lightning as well in my 04 civic si. Your pace is fast. Mind watching my video and letting me know where I can approve? My best time was 1:30. I know the car has more time in it but I was kind of holding back because I had to drive back 2 hours in the car. Thoughts on my line?
appreciate it! only glanced at it but the obvious ones to me are turn one you can carry more speed and use the exit curbing, after the hill you need to track out, into the lightbulb you can probably brake later and maintain a higher speed thru there. there's a great youtube tutorial on this track called "njmp lightning walkthrough" I highly recommend it, it's what I learned from and built upon
