  • Members of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines Taskforce discussed the new and modified recommendations for adult patients with sepsis and septic shock, released in October 2021. The speakers discussed evidence-based recommendations and best practice statements in the areas of screening and early treatment, initial resuscitation, mean arterial pressure targets, ICU admission guidance, infection, hemodynamic management, ventilation, additional therapies, and a new section on long-term goals of care. Practice changes to consider and guidelines processes that led to the recommendations were also discussed. The speakers also answered questions about the guidelines.

Thanks for the dissertation on the Guide's changes. It was really helpful. I'm amazed that being such an important guide for a lot of our specializations it only has 42.000 views in two years worldwide. Keep up the amazing work!

WHAT IS ROLE OF CVP MEASUREMENT OF FLUID ASSEEMENT IN SEPSIS.?ANY ONE

  • @LEARNING-MEDICAL-EDUCATION

I think they advise keeping MAP at 65 not more than 70. because keeping MAP more than 70 is more harmful than maintaining slightly above 65
