    That was great footage... I kept thinking "how in the hell is this guy going to draw with them that close?" then when you were obscured by both of their fans I thought "DRAW NOW!" and, sure enough, you did. I "felt" the action... Great video.

    Wow the comments I am reading on here! Why come watch the video if you believe it offends? I am a avid archer that knows how difficult it is to draw back on a Turkey at close range or even long range. I have taken 5 birds in the last 4 seasons with a bow. Every time I thank the Lord because he is my savior and allows me the opportunity to be here and do what us humans have done for many generations! Please do not compare hunting to murdering! You want to be Vegan than more power to you, but do not push your ideas into others who do not share the same view! To the others who think they are better at taking a bird, well great if it works for you and just keep doing it. The peeing contest is over and please move on.

    Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine czcams.com/users/postUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

    I had an Interesting season. Went out once on the weekend didn't here anything. Then during the week me and my sister ran out a nice cobbler out of a field. Set the blind up and then Saturday we were calling all morning didn't hear anything and we took a break from calling 5 minutes later a couple hens walk out to our right and they walk up see the decoy and then avoid it and start heading out to the middle of the field. And then a nice gobbler and a small Jake come out. And 1 more behind it but couldn't tell what the last one was. He comes out doesn't even acknowledge the decoy and I shoot and dropped him. He was a 9 1/2 inch beard

      @SuperSnallygaster Před 9 lety +5

      +Tiny Samuri x None, obviously. It’s the same with all of these hunting videos. These commenters only eat the meat that the grocery store makes. I guess they think birds raised in a poultry farm, that spend their entire lives in filthy sheds with tens of thousands of other birds, eventually killed by having their
      throats cut and immersed in scalding-hot water - must have it better than these wild birds. These commenters that happily eat the grocery meat and use animal products, have never once worked for their meal. They don't respect the animal nor the sacrifice. They don’t understand the kinship with nature or preparation that goes into a successful hunt. They pay others to do the work for them so they can point their righteous fingers from behind their iPads, contently detached from the food chain. IMO, if you eat meat and DON'T hunt - you're an asshole.

    • @Tokis86
      @Tokis86 Před 8 lety +1

      +SuperSnallygaster 1. "These commenters only eat the meat that the grocery store" - I'm sure there are many vegetarians etc commenting here who don't eat a shred of meat.
      2. "they think birds raised in a poultry farm" - Why would someone against hunting be for factory farming? Have you not considered that many people might be against both??
      3. Not all farming methods are inhumane.
      4. " can point their righteous fingers from behind their iPads" This quite a funny statement considering that many people who go out hunting today seem to employ every bit of technology they can to help them find & kill animals.
      5. You don't have to go out killing random animals to get in touch with nature.
      6. "They don't respect the animal nor the sacrifice"- This is also quite an amusing statement considering that many hunters seem obsessed with going after the biggest specimens only and like to do stuff like taxiderming the animal into an gross ornament to decorate their house with etc (respectful to the animal? I think not!).
      7. Hunting is still a way of life for some people but please don't go kidding yourself that for you and 98% of other hunters in America that its anything more than a weekend hobby.
      There is a huge difference between some Inuit who hunts to feed his family (because otherwise they will starve etc) to some fat American spending his office earnings on assortment of (quite frankly ridiculous looking) weapons and drive out to shoot animals in some area he/she doesn't even live in for no other reason than they find it fun to hunt (and like to entertain the idea of eating some turkey they've killed in the same way that some people like to entertain the idea of growing some vegetables after a cooking program they saw on TV. But growing some backyard veg doesn't make you farmer anymore than killing a few animals at the weekend suddenly makes you a hunter!).
      I dunno...there seems to be a lot of delusion on here about what these hunts are really about. Whenever you see people defending hunting you'll never see any of them using the "fun" word. Instead its always tripe like "I'm getting back in touch with nature", "Its for the animals population management sake", "I like to eat free animals" etc even though its quite obvious to even the dimmest person that all these people on youtube are just hunting for the fun of it all (so who are you trying to convince about hunting? Because it sounds like to me you're trying to convince & justify it to yourselves more than anything else...).

    • @SuperSnallygaster
      @SuperSnallygaster Před 8 lety +1

      +Tokis Phoenix 1) You're wrong on most accounts. 2) I only eat what I kill. That means that I'm a vegetarian unless I bring an animal home. I'm pretty certain that qualifies me as being a hunter. 3) Personally, I'm not fat. I spent 6 years working as a climbing instructor and guide. I've spent more days at altitude than you Brit's have collectively spent annoying hunters on CZcams.

    • @Tokis86
      @Tokis86 Před 8 lety

      +SuperSnallygaster My point is that you made all these huge negative sweeping (& patronizing/offensive) generalizations about these who might be against hunting yet at the same time its quite clear that when the tables are turned and people are making negative generalizations about hunters you clearly don't like it! Doesn't that lead you believe that if anyone is to come to any agreements about hunting, insulting the opposition will not win anyone over hmm?
      PS: I don't see what mountain climbing has to do with any of this etc...

    Why exactly?
    All that kit and expense,you could throw a rock at it and kill it at that distance!

      Rocks can't kill massive birds, idiot.

      Diamond Mangle Obviously you have no understanding of the word "irony"
      $1000 spent on kit to shoot a bird from a few metres away that you could buy in a shop 100's of times over for what was spent on that lot!
      Hardly sport is it?
      It requires NO skill at all,even I could hit it from that distance.
      Pathetic.

      +Mark Smallman I going to take the educated guess that you have never went hunting because that hunt took more time than the video entails so it was indeed quite sporting

      +Lance Hostetler Maybe but the fact all that money was spent to bag a turkey about 10 yards away regardless of anything else is truly pathetic.
