- While in Yakutsk, I asked to find a person who could play this instrument for me. I met Lugita and she played an original song for me, one that she created herself.
I was mesmerized by this awesome instrument.
A big thank you to Lugita for allowing me to film her and put it on the internet for the whole world to see!

Que lindo!! Nunca tinha visto! Diferente de tudo que já vi. Como são criativos e profissionais 😊😊😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
In Indonesia we also have this. Especially from Western Java Province, belongs to Sunda ethnicity. The name is "Karinding"
This is one my favorite Khomus videos! ❤
Absolutely incredible. Must take immense practice to master.
Most definitely, Matt. Lugita and other artists can mimic horses, birds and other animals and also just the breadth control, it was impressive and to see it right there in front of my eyes, amazing.
PS I think you’ll like my next video very much. We tour a place that talks about ancient Shamans.
Wow!
Awesome woman! Awesome song!
Thanks. That melody is original. She wrote it herself.

This is excellent! Who has made your Khomus?
0:14 YSYAH Turkic peoples spring celebration, one of Tengriist people's celebration during the year, it is to welcome spring. Mostly known as " novruz " in many Turkic nations. In Republic of Altai it is called ÇILGAYAK. Thanks for sharing, she is awesome ! 🙏
The tone changes are largely from the tongue as with normal speech. The hands are for striking the metal interior that vibrates between the teeth.

We need to speak our own language and not the occupiers language.
