Greetings from the US! I remember being pretty shocked when Trevor showed up on the Daily Show. I was like "why are they hiring this random guy from another country?" Now I understand what a gift John Stewart was giving us. Trevor is so wise and humble and we are blessed to have been able to watch him so often for 8 years. I would also be proud if Trevor was from our country! I can't wait to see what Trevor will do next!

And I fell in love with you before you landed in NYC. And you never let me down. Every day you got better and better and better. And you still do.

Listening to this conversation now, it actually became clear just how challenging taking over the daily show must have been/felt for Trevor. I always looked at it/him from the perspective of the supportive fellow South African that I never had to assume perhaps some of the hostility that Americans and whoever else may have felt. He spent 8 year proving himself and making the world fall as inlove with him as we South Africans are and I really think he is so strong and brave for committing to the work, himself and his team.
It’s so great that we have Trevor as a South African role-mode who consistently displays integrity & wholesome values. Thank you for being that for all of us & encouraging others to follow suit❤
