I'm so pumped about the new Sungazer music! It's so special to be able to make another animation for them because making the video for their song "Drunk" a few years ago lead me to fall in love with animation in the first place. It's wonderful to look back and see how much inspiration came from that experience and then funnel it into this project!
You continue to blow my mind with each new project! The visuals are so sick and the amount of detail that went into this is nuts. So glad to have you on this!
Same to you Shawn! Threshold is an incredible song! I REALLY LIKE YOU!!! You ARE cool!!!!!
"That can't be Blender"
"That is Blender"
"I'm going to go open Blender"
"Turns out the problem isn't Blender"
Pro tip: Have an old, underpowered, computer that you can blame for the reason as to why you're rubbish at CGI instead of your lack of knowledge, skill and creativity. Works for me!
@@JakesGuitarThing even more pro tip is to put in enough time to learn how to animate lol
@@baileyayyy5085 PROTIP: make sure the animation software and the user are in the SAME KEY!
So much talent right there inside of you! Like an insane amount. :-) Thanks for everything you are doing! The video looks fantastic.
it is pretty crazy actually.
"Shadam-synth Ben Levin isn't real, he can't hurt you"
Shadam-synth Ben Levin: 6:02
the factory scene was really cool and really reminiscent of animusic, so its now know how its made
the sound design in this tutorial is awesome. every single transition and motion is accentuated with sound and music. Bravo!
you are a treasure
The Bean Smasher was by far my favorite scene the moment I saw it. The way it matches the lopsided 3/4ish feel is so visceral. The acceleration profile on the Smasher works really well. It definitely made me think of a combination of the demoscene aesthetic, vaporwave, and the glitch-art style in Aphex Twin's T69 Collapse video.
This animation blew my mind!! I think I'll once again come back to blender after abandoning it for a few month, probably with your course!
i never thought about using ebsynth as an effect like that, that's genius
I love these "how-to" videos Ben, your work has definitely inspired me. I'm planning to take your course for musicians, after seeing some of your animations I've really wanted to get back into blender and do some of my own. Currently I'm just trying to learn "Grease Pencil" to do a relatively simple 2-d animation..
Period
0:57 - "Different shapes I make....Like this"- I'm completely lost! Good video! 😊 👍
You are my hero in so many ways.
I came here as fast as I could after watching the video on Adam's Channel. Interesting train of thought to create it.
It looks like demoscene demo :D Really cool!
the ai ‘melting’ made my eyes very happy
As I was watching I was thinking "Man, I wish I could do this" and then I saw that he had courses for using Blender, so I'm totally going to check that out now :)
Quite a trip my dude.
you rlly did something with this animation. Incredible work
I made a wooden cube with a shadow once in Blender. Took me all day to figure out lol.
I know how you feel. I made a telescope in Blender once. It took all weekend for one simple image.
Just gotta say, you are an absolute mastermind with these animations... Just the absolute definition of creativity and exploration in every animation. Thank you for existing lol
Total god.. This Ben Levin is outshining all previous Ben Levins..
ben is a frickin genius! definitely gonna get the course, i’d love to be able to do even the tiniest bit of something like this
I really got a REZ vibes - abstract musically inclined video game from the early 2000s vibe. I love it.
I love you, man.
I love everything about this too :) 60 fps is such a perfect choice for this type of music video. Also super cool how the last effect you mentioned was a lot like the youtube compression algorithm when it can't keep up, so almost used it as an artistic choice :D Amazing job!
Thanks for the insight into your process for this; I will definitely be going to check out the course! Mixing organic textures with large defined shapes while still creating an interesting randomized element sounds intriguing, and I've been searching for a good way to do it without creating huge files/long render times!
I love how all this chaos has this underlying order to it. Your art is immensely inspiring as always ben
Really appreciate your animations, and I big thanks to your poor computer for chugging through all those juicy frames. Your approach is unique and something I really love!
I've always been a fan of Peter Gabriel and Tool for their music videos, but THIS HERE IS ANOTHER LEVEL.
Ben's positvity and enthusiasm is endlessly inspiring.
Outstanding job man I love it
Amazing to find out how much went into this video. As another one of the production crew, it's a pleasure to have worked with people this insanely talented.
Dude make more of these! As a Blender user I love seeing your eccentric style manifest itself in how you use the program, very unconventional which I greatly appreciate.
Amazing, Ben! It's hard to pick, but I think this is my favorite visual experience you've made since Bone Rage :D Very inspiring!
Also, I've been getting interested in procedural art and have been itching to learn blender. I think your course would be the perfect intro for the kinds of things I want to achieve! Thank you for sharing your art and your knowledge :D
Ben you are a talented gentleman. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and art.
I've done a music video that was way less complicated than this and it still took so much work. So kudos for getting this done Ben, your animations are getting better all the time. Loved the EbSynth stuff especially!
Yessssirrrr this looks so good
Everything about this is sick. soooo sick!!!! You guys's friendship is sick, the frikin animation is sick and the music is sick. Call the doctor cuz something something... eh... sick!!
That comment was ... sick!
Seriously one of the best if not the best blender visual I've seen this year. thanks for the eye candy!
Ben, this is phenomenal. I've watched other videos of yours that are more music-focused but this one just solidifies for me how capable you are as multimedia artist. Your guitar playing and songcrafting is next level but to be able to do that AND execute digital video at this level is something else. Well done, brother. Keep up the good work!
And your subscribers love you Ben! So glad a new Ben video popped up in my inbox
The music video reminded me of "Gantz Graf" by Autechre, though this wasn't half as weird. Had a similar vibe, though. Good one, Ben!
There is so much passion in all you do, and you inspire me every time!!
Absolutely rocked it fam. Really brought that track to life
AMAZING! WE LOVE BEN, WE LOVE SUNGAZER, WE LOVE BLENDER!
The full video is awesome, had to come back here just to say how much I enjoyed it. I've watched several of your videos recently and really enjoy your positive vibe and creativity. Music Blender Bob Ross
mind melting! well done as always
That's amazing ben! Thanks for sharing
you make me so happy. loved this video
Such a great video Ben! Really inspiring.
You're the shit, Ben! Thank you for all you do!
Thank you so much for making this course! Love the video!
I love this video. Thanks so much for sharing your process Ben!
Great to see your process! The tools are cool but it's clear that there is some serious creative genius steering things :) Great video!
thank you for this Ben, and thank you for your ever evolving brilliance 😊
This is absolutely incredible!!
You did such an incredible job, i'm amazed at the art you make Ben, and I'm just like so happy to live in the same world as you at the same time and to get to witness you producing new amazing animations and music.
You are insanely talented Ben! Such an amazing video!
I bought your course and already did 36% of it and it's fantastic, loving it so much
Really amazing stuff dude, really tempted to have a tinker about in Blender now, lol
So stoked to see you're into blender!!
This is soooo amazing, you have a lot of talent. Amazing video animation for quite great song.
i cant thank you enough for making this video, fantastic music in sync with the graphic aspects, i mean i can't even put it into words man you are my hero
Super awesome Ben! I have been curious about video creation and editing lately so hearing this from you is the best someone could ask for! Love your creativity!
You are a genius in so many ways, my man!
The video is so musical. Really great work...
Now we have t r a v e l i n g b e a n s
The way you incorporated EbSynth into this workflow is amazing! Great work man, it adds so much polish to the abstract 3D look
Thank you for sharing your process! I LOOOOOVE the video! (And the song is just amazing as well of course!) I am an 2D animator and electronic musician too and finding Blender tough to get into so it was interesting seeing your perspective and when I get a bit more time I might check out your course.
Ben, you’re such a gem
When I saw the music video I was hoping you'd post a breakdown like this! Really great stuff :)
Wow, I really like it. Congrats!
I watch a lot of you guys' music-related videos with very little knowledge on music fundamentals myself, and do stuff in blender regularly. it's wild seeing the comparisons you've made to describe stuff in the program to people more adept in music production/creation, it feels like a mirror version of me watching the music-related videos!
I've used Blender a lot, and the idea that this was made with Blender didn't even occur to me while watching the music video.
So creative! Definitely using blendr for art when i get a pc eventually.
You're incredible Ben
Thank you for this video, I always wanted to know how you make those amazing animations, but I was afraid to ask.
ur my fav benji
As someone who has a hard time with metaphors I also enjoy the less abstract Ben Videos. Thank you very much
As a professional 3D artist, I'm always excited to see your animations. Its amazing what new ideas start flowing when you just let your ideas flow and don't worry about what's technically correct. I've spent so much time in school and work learning how to make my models more realistic, or fit some kind of otherwise recognizable forms, but what your videos have shown me is that abstraction can go a long way in getting the viewer to feel something, not just see it. I may not use Blender, but I know for certain that I'll be translating some of these ideas into my future work.
Great work as always!
blender is a bliss.
Wow, I was recently talking to a friend wishing " when when sir Ben Levin start teaching blender".
Can u hear us man?
Like...I'm poopin my plants here
I LOVE BEN LEVIN
Amazing work! One day I’m going to hire you!
THANK YOU FOR DOING CAR BOMB!
really nice, i got heavy Demoscene vibes thru the whole thing
Honestly if you can make something that looks this good already your course motto should be "Made for musicians, good enough for professional animators"
Alucinante!
Dude this animation is insane!
...also you content reminds me of bill wutz's, do you know him by any chance?
This is so nice. This is a good day.
This is sick af
The blender mad man
"now we have traveling beans"
I love you Ben
Ben, you've come so far.
Now we have traveling beans.
Hey Ben! Love your stuff. Wanted to try out your Blender course but it's prohibitively expensive for a third-world guy like me. Is there any chance you could implement regional pricing or some sort of IP based discount? (a la Wes Bos). If not, s'all good. Still love you =)
Can you message me on Instagram about this?
@@BenLevin sure, will do!
@@BenLevin Sent!
Ok.. I made a question in Adam Neely's video, and you already recorded the answers xD
Now we have traveling beans
