The best history video so far! I love seeing how these turn out.

Been along time, Miss
Natural Harmonia Gropius I’m still here!
Impressed how well thought out these expansions were in terms of addressing the current meta for being so early in the game’s life
I’m excited it’s here! I love this series and I absolutely love this format! First memories of being competitive
Bryce Murphy 100% 👍🏻
These first 3 sets were my childhood back in the late 90s! It's great to finally see what a competitive deck looks like!
loving this and hating how much i wanna play this format now
Lovely video, I love learning more about old tcg stuff. It's so surprising to me that some of the ability archetypes that are relevant right now go waaay back. Also how the pokemon's attacks and hp are underwhelming but some trainers were super broken compared to now!
Love the nod to aerodactyl… I’ve been playing it forever and my friends thought I was crazy. But it works and your mention legitimised my claim ❤️
Andrew my friend it is awesome!
Nostalgic and funny. That's remind me good times watching Poke in my childhood.
Thanks dude.
Wish to battle against you on Tcgo
Seeya!
Busted video brother, looking forward to the rest of the retro sets!
Awesome video!!!! Love all the vintage Pokemon cards content. I didn't knew about the tentacool strategy, love it!!
Great video! Really stands out from other content in the community, Love it!
Bus Ted video for sure! Super hyped for how it turned out also! Can't wait to see more videos like this for other expansions in the future!
These videos are so great, never played back then but so easy to learn with these awesome summaries
Excellent work man. These videos are worth all of the work.
Literally the best Pokémon gameplay videos and the best content keep it up. I have watched all of your videos and how in depth they are and filled with nostalgia for anyone that’s a fan. It helps that you are a legit solid player as well.
Oh man, the memories! I have almost the entire fossil series and all of the promos you mentioned.
These are sooo goood! Wish you wold've kept this series going but I guess its not as popular and takes a lot more effort than some other type of videos
Look how much the game has evolved...
My two favorites Aerodactyl and muck! They were supreme destroyers of other very skilled decks but who needed the pokemon power or evolution cards in order to be good. A combination with elite level basics still to this day remains in itself one of the best decks of that era (if not THE best) ... love the nostalgia! Epic cards!
I loved this video. I personally did not really start playing PTCG until the beta release of PTCGO. Its really interesting to see what was the deck strategies and what was meta back in the beginning. Thanks for a fantastic video to look into the history of the game
I like these series of videos. Love the old tcg format. Great videos bro!
Awesome series Andrew! Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge with us.
Ps - I would love to see an official Tricky Gym intro for your videos! Haha
These are awesome videos! I wish I knew what I was getting into when I was younger!
I love these history videos!!
Awesome video bro 🤙🏿
Man... I never got into Pokemon Trading Card game, but I have a bunch of Fossil cards. Including a shiny Moltres.
I guess I just wasn't in the right circles as a kid to make the hobby worth while.
I'd really would love to see more content on what the game has become.
And another point would be the format then and now, since the retro formats are not exactly the same as back then! ;)
fun series/nice video
Wish we could turn back time. Thanks man!
One day I'll get to play, hopefully
When I was a kid, I traded a Base set Charizard for Ditto, because I was smart enough to recognize that Ditto was a way better card. Unfortunately, not everyone is as smart as me, and so that Charizard ended up being worth way more than that Ditto, but I still stand by my trade.
great vid
Hey Mahone great vid like always! Keep it up stay safe and have a awesome day! 😁👍
Please stop spamming on absolutely every pokemon CZcamsr
Awesome!
Good job
Great summary for us newbs!
Stellar!
Wish these decks were still buildable at a reasonable price just to play some old format. Might just have to use some proxies to give it a whirl.
Yup. Please do more.
Surprised you didn't mention Lapras. It's Raindance's only counter to a Mr Mime.
I was born the day it came out
More throwback decks please?!
That vintage game mat is so cool. Where did you get it? Did it come with some old product? I'd love to look for it on ebay or something.
nvm, found it! in case others are curious, it's easily searchable by googling "Wizards of the Coast vintage Pokemon 2-player mat"
can you please do a cinderace deck?
The plural form of Pokémon names is the same as the singular name!
Can you do one for every set? I know that is hard, but it is worth it
That's the plan! He is working on Team Rocket now :)
thanx
I have a 115 dollar card and I'm treating it like shit damn is my mom gonna sell it when she finds out the fact I got it form my friend at 2018
Hi
Julio Lopez hello!
Actually at 1:24 i wasn't that stupid at using my super energy removal and picking a non-psychic energy card unless you were just plain dumb and not read the card. Super energy removal allows you to CHOSE which energy to pick, now your fucked if newtwo had nothing but psychic energy on him but the example you showed is very stupid.
