- AMG is all about performance from Mercedes, and this GLE 63 S is no exception. Under the hood is a 4.0L Bi-Turbo V8 that is pumping out 603HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. On the outside you will find bold muscular body line, unique front fascia, wheels, brakes and rear bumper. On the inside you will find a high level of finishes, two 12.3in screens, and tons of technology. Is the 2021 Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S a performance SUV worth buying?

I can tell you instantly fell in love on throttle. My pops used to get those E55 & E63 AMG’s and it’s just a different experience. Beautiful engines. Excellent videos man. Thanks for the fun.

Saw this car on the road today. This car definitely is a statement on the road . As a 23 year old black female, i can only dream, hope, work hard and pray that such a car can grace my own very hands
Go for it but be a VERY GOOD DRIVER! This is a very capable Performance vehicle.
I bought two expensive cars in my life. Not a great way to spend money but here I am. Put it on a goal list and work towards it. Not joking. In the meantime check out swap a lease. Buy the last 12 months of someone’s lease. Get it out of your system that way. I bought rental property and now the rental pays my cars and everything else. Good luck!

Daaaaamn! Just amazed what Mercedes put together. Now if only the US would lift speed limits on the open road, just like the Autobahn in Germany. I've got Feuer Frei (Rammstein) going through my head right about now.

Just bought one with massage seats. It is soooo amazing. My kids take the car keyes and just sit in the car to get a massage. Never used apple car play ones since the MBUX system is just WONDERFUL. BEST CAR EVER. Worth every penny. Interior lights: feels like sitting in a 5 star hotel lounge. What a car.
I have one. Just sold my scat Pack. Now it's a monster. I have 63s what has 5.5 l biturbo with little less hp 577hp but still a animal. So happy to drive it.

Another awesome review. I have a 21 GLE580 in black. Not this beast but it's plenty of power for me. The one thing I like better on mine is the 22" AMG twin 5 spoke w/black accent wheels. Can't believe they didn't put those on this version. They look so much more aggressive. I do wish the auto stop/start was push to activate instead of push to decline. I can't imagine anyone liking auto start/stop.
I have a Lunar blue AMG GLE 53, I have the AMG 21s on mine as well (22s are way to rough of a ride imo.) 21s definitely do look aggressive I agree, the start/stop function is honestly really rough sometimes. especially combined with the AMG gearbox it gets a little rough when the engine starts/stops.

Really struggling here, and stuck between exactly this car (a '21 AMG GLE 63s) and a 21 RR Sport SVR. Wish someone would send me a sign on which one to buy. Raiti, you've reviewed both extensively, do you have a preference? And if so, why? For context, my current ride is an X3M Competition, so it's no slouch, but the ride in the X3 is too firm.
