I dont know how many times i sat there with a knife in my hand listening to music about to end my miserable life being seconds away from killing myself to have eminem mysteriously come on the radio with a song that spoke directly to me. In 2015 when kings never die came out i was in my darkest place with my daughter in the next room. I figured she would be better off without me because i was a fuck up and my parents would raise her better than i could. The dj i was listening to on shade 45 announced it and i decided to wait to for one more song since i never heard it. After it finished i called my mom and cried to her for an hour. My parents took my daughter for me for a month. I called my doctor and got on a med the next day. 5 years later i have another daughter and a beautiful new fiance of 3 years. Ive been off the med 4 years and never thought of doing it again. Ive considered eminem my Guardian Angel since i was 15. Im 32 now. I literally owe my life to his lyrics and he wont personally ever know it. And i know theres others. This is my fight song. I will always be an eminem supporter because he supported me when i needed it whether he knows or not. He is the most vulnerable rapper alive. He has something everyone can relate to.

My friend King Noyo passed away , he lost the war with cancer, he was a strong and healthy man, never smoked or drank alcohol, he was half black, half native American, he was strong like a football player, strong build I mean. He was from Texas and we all called him King Noyo, ps3 royalty. We all used to talk for hours in voice chats on the ps3, those chats were cool, 6 people could join those chats, we all had cameras. I'm from Portugal and we were friends for 10 years or so. Anyway when he was already sick of cancer he told me that he had broke his collarbone trying to get on his wheelchair. He loved Hip Hop and was awesome at freestyling. This song reminds me of him, especially when Eminem says he broke his collarbone. I feel like King is still alive and he somehow inspired Eminem to write this song, I'm not religious but I like to think death isn't the end. Anyway I hope to see you again Noel Williams the third. Go Cowboys. Kings Never Die. Rest in Peace brother.

A cool thing I noticed about the second verse is that it contains a sort of rhyme scheme palindrome.
The scheme that begins with "consideration" seemingly ends pretty quickly. Then we get "think I see why." (Yes, this rhyme scheme was introduced earlier, but let's ignore that for the moment.) Then, the "show out" scheme is introduced, but it doesn't even get its companion line before "track with me" comes along. That one finishes completely before finally, all of them are reintroduced in reverse order. "blow-out," "me to retire," "shit has changed," they all get resolved in a way that is, while not musically satisfying in my opinion, still pretty interesting on a cerebral level.
