A disappointing discovery ...my sweet ewe is PROLAPSING. | Vlog 740

- As I not so patiently wait for lambing to really get started... I seem to have developed some 'hover mother' tendencies and assist some mamas when in all honesty, they can likely do solo.
Advent calendar continues, and Mark started hunting today!
By the evening, I was SO EXCITED to look into my cameras and see my sweet little Billy twin down and pushing... all things I THOUGHT was labour... but upon further discovery I was disappointed to see this wasn't labour, this was a prolapse.

I love how Kinsey, the matriarch, is just watching Lucy and Piper's shenanigans. 😂 I wish Sandi could have a contest where one lucky viewer could visit during lambing. I'd buy a zillion chances.
That would be great ! But I understand why she wouldn’t, security reasons and all. I feel blessed that she takes us along on her farming journey ! 💗
My MIL has that breed, and hers is named Lucy, funny enough! When we went on vacation together, the other dogs around were behaving poorly because their humans weren't helping them properly. Meanwhile, our Lucy was sitting calmly at heel, waiting patiently for instructions.
I think when they're well bonded to you, they consider themselves above such nonsense 😁
@@CWorgen5732 I have another "funny" thing to share. MY NAME is Lucy 😃
She definitely has that face that says “Look at those fools!”
I want to volunteer with lambing.
Age is a number. My Mom is 95. To me it’s an accomplishment the older we get and we are still alive. Getting older isn’t for sissies. 💗💗
...and it's a privilege denied to many
I am a Buffett fan also! I am trying not to be a sissie!
Well said my mum is 93 but she not a happy camper unfortunately she wants to die in her 💤 but I believe the adage “only the good die young” is true my twin sister and I take care her we all moved in together about 3 years ago. If anyone could help it would be most helpful.
@@marilynmorrison4936 mom also says she doesn’t want to be here anymore. She has her struggles of energy etc.
@@marilynmorrison4936 I also say to the “ good die young” I’ll be here forever. 🤣🤣🤣
Sandi, I love that you intervene if they aren't progressing. You avert a lot of deaths. Idk why people criticize that. I laughed at your reaction to Piper, she's a handful! Thank you for donating to your local cancer charity, they can put it to good use❤️🎄💚
One never knows how many lives one touches during a lifetime. You have touched millions. Blessings to you. ❤❤❤
Sandi - I only have one word of advice for you - BELIEVE - in yourself and the impact you have!
❤❤❤❤
I love how your soothing, gentle voice and touch reassures these ewes. The one with the prolapse started out jumpy but settled right down. You are so good with these creatures! Your love and caring shows through.
That was remarkable, wasn't it? The ewe stopped her loud baa and actually stood calmly as Sandi put on the harness. I was shocked! 😮 So many times she has to tie the ewe to the fence on order to have a little more control to put it on! It's a fight, pure and simple. But this entire round of lambing is so incredibly smooth! Sandi has the unique ability to speak and touch each ewe gently. Totally amazing to watch!
So sweet of Mark to make his Mom a birthday cake! 🎂❤🎉 Glad you were able to enjoy it with her. Those 3 lambs at the end of the vid...Oh my goodness, they are so stinkin' cute! Congrats on the donations. 🙏 Can't wait for the next vid! 🐑🐑🐑😊❤
Happy Birthday!
Age IS just a number. My mom is 94, has eleven children and her spirit is so energetic. Mom is unstoppable, she juggles multiple projects at once and wears out her kids and grandkids. Mom says it's how you feel about yourself on the inside that is your true age. I am thankful to still have my amazing mom after her non-Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis and treatment. She is cancer-free right now!
Happy holidays.
❤
What a great tribute! Merry Christmas!
Age is a number. My mom passed in 2020 at the young age of 100 years! Such an amazing mom..❤
Wow! Babies everywhere! Piper thinks she’s a sheepdog. She’s such a goof! Lol.
lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Sandi i love watching you, 9 hours ago your video dropped but i was in surgery. I'm now watching you for therapy, my surgery was a success and I'm up and walking after surgery on my leg. Never doubt your impact and we love you for your commitment to your channel and sheep. ❤❤❤❤
Prayers for a speedy recovery and a very merry Christmas
@@caseys9310 thank you so much, God bless you and have a blessed and fun filled Christmas. 🙏😍
Angel flights was heavenly for us when our twins had leukemia. Wonderful organization.
Wow. Both twins having leukemia. The extra things people do makes such a difference. Hugs.
They are grown-up, beautiful women now. Just like Jess!
Iwas a Peds oncology nurse - I took care of identical 2 yo twins with leukemia in Chicago. I was the primary nurse for one of them- the first diagnosed. This was 30 years ago and I will never their mom flying onto the unit with the second twin, seeing me, and blurting out 'Danee, did you hear, my Ethan has leukemia?" and breaking down. Thankfully, both boys did really well. I can't imagine the stress.

Sandi it would be great if you allowed us to pre order things like the Advent for next year now. This way you have a bunch paid in advance and you know numbers needed. Just saying 😉
Great idea
Love 💖 lambing with you! ❤❤❤❤❤
And if you do anymore of the purple cancer awareness sweatshirts, or if we could preorder some, that would be great!
My grandmother used to say “I’m as old as my tongue and a bit older than my teeth. She used to have sayings for just about everything
My brother just passed. He had been an oncologist for 30 years. He won an award in Kentucky for his service to the community. I keep thinking about all the people he saved because of his skill. So glad Jess is doing well.
@mrsspeech - I’m so sorry for your loss - your brother must have been a blessing to so many. God bless you and your family💔
Oh the joys of puppy play. 😅 I love seeing you interact with your sheep and your lambs. Thank you as always for sharing, Sandi.
You all are doing Great! I feel I’m 164 ! 😅😂🤣 I made venison meatloaf from my Oldest grandsons kill earlier this month.
So funny, I remember when the black ewe was born and you docked her tail! There was that small white tip left and I thought that was so cute! She’s sure a sweet ewe! ❤ Thank you so much for posting for Vlogmas even when you’re tired! I GUARANTEE we all appreciate you! ❤️❤️❤️
Don't know about anybody else, but I'm loving this 'new' Mark!
I understand where it's come from, and it of course has made their relationship closer. I'm just happy everything worked out in the end and it's great to see Sandi so much calmer and balanced with Mark being 'present' and helpful.❤
Sandi is such an awesome midwife: calm, soft-spoken, gentle, encouraging those lucky, blessed ewes! 🙏💕💕She was so good catching the ewe before her uterus actually prolapsed. Love to hear her coo baby-talk to the newborns! 💕💕💕💕
the stealers test my patience so much, i cannot imagine what it is like to actually be there haha
🤠 Howdy from Tennessee.. Sandi just want to say, you are an inspiration to so many of us.. And I like the idea of your craft calendar.. its awesome
Sandi-girl! "tired & sore" Chat with your friends & find a good massage therapist! You totally deserve it & you need to feel refreshed & energized. Puh-leeze do that! Some ME time! 💕💕
Love your intro with Carissa and the dogs, so sweet
I drop everything to watch these videos each time they pop up. I love all of them!! Thank you Sandy for your gentle talk with the Mamas as they give birth and to their babies. I would have loved it if I had nurses with those attitudes during my labors.
Sandi, I didn't want this vid to end! (never do) But thanks for taking us along your journey even through the slow days. We support you & love how to talk to the sheep & newborns. ❤ So happy your launch went smoothly & you were able to support those places. They need remembered all year through but especially this time of year. Prayers going up for each one. (Idk who they are but God does!)
Brava, Sandi! for your kind donations to Jessica's House & the London cancer program. Bless you! 🙏👏👏💕💕
Poor prolapse girls. Loving the lambs ❤
She had triplets today 🎉
The saying is you're only as old as the man you feel..that worked well for me as he was 10 yrs younger 😂 .. long time ago..I'm 64 and on my own now..Kinsey being the grown up watching the naughty kids play😂.. its good that the prolapse went back in and you didn't have to clean it and push it back which must be very hard to do.. Mark baking his mom a birthday cake is so sweet..not many men could do that..and not a packet mix either..what a guy !!.😊..so pleased the foster worked..much better all around..its good that its not chaotic..it gives you time to keep up to date on other chores..a bit of family time..and no emergencies..much more relaxing..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👏🐑🐑🐑🎄🎅🎁🦌🐾🐕🐾🐕🐾🐕🇨🇦
I'm now 76 and a few years ago I changed to a new mindset. I'm lucky to be old! A lot of people don't get that opportunity.
That's a great approach to take! ❤❤❤
Perfect start to my day, having lambs.
I’m saying it again…one of the hardest working Moms in Canada. Sandi - What you accomplish in 24 hours makes most of us look like chopped liver. Your Ladies really respond to your voice and reassuring presence - it’s very cool to watch. Your “dance” near the end, trying to move those triplets with a 2nd Ewe who was trying to steal them…yikes. Amazing. The canine crew are pretty funny. My Mother-in-law would have said Piper was “full of the Devilment” 😂 Such a Puppy.
Congrats on the Donations, but then you guys are always paying it forward. Nice of Mark to make his Mom’s cake and that you got to enjoy the party. 👍🥳🎂🐑🐶
I get just get a kick out of Piper. She has the cutest personality as what we see. She may be different when not on camera. When those lambs and their moms look at you, it melts ones heart as if everything you say they totally understand. Love, love❤❤❤❤ what a sweet son to make a homemade birthday cake for his mom.
Happiest of Birthdays 🎂 to Marks 👵 mom.
Thanks so much for sharing your December lambing and Christmas prep with us. Love Christmas with Sandi every year!
You've had a really hard year and a good lambing can help to lift the spirits. If you need to be a hover mother to give yourself that piece of mind, then go for it. Your mental health is just as important as healthy lambs.
It's okay to sometimes feel like your'e ninety as long as you also appreciate the days you feel like you're twenty. 💟
Hi Sandi, as fellow sheep farmer, I hate prolapses come spring (we only lamb in the springtime). We have to keep those mamas in separate pen/area, so they can be watched more carefully, because they live outside. It seems that no matter how tight we get the harness holding in the spoon, it always loosen up. Glad to see everyone is doing well, sheep and humans. Wishing you the most joyous Christmas this year with Jess being in remission.🎄🎄🎄🎄❄️❄️❄️❄️ 🐑🐑🐑🐑🎆🎆🎆🎆
See your gut knows. You saved those babies. I love that you dont let pressure from others stop helping when your gut tells you otherwise.
My great-grandson is a cancer survivor. He has been in remission for maybe 2.5 years. He is currently in the hospital having scans. I feel so bad for him because he has to be sedated for every scan. He’s 4 years old. Next week he has to be sedated again because he has 3 teeth with cavities that the dentist said are caused by the chemo. He has to wear glasses because the cancer weakened his eyes. There were tumors behind his eyes. Praying that the scans are clear. 🙏🏻
i love how kenzie was just sitting there while the other two were wrestling 🤣
So many lambs. Too cute ❤. I didn't know that some sheeps want to steal lambs. Very interesting. I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing your work and life with us. You're so hardworking.
🎉❤🎄YEAH Sandi and lambing events are here!!🎉❤🎄
You know Christmas is coming when you start lambing! Wish you would tell us the weights a little more like you did years ago. Thanks ❤️🎄
Oof I must be feeling emotional these last few days because for some reason the music and the lights shutting off at the end has made me weepy today and yesterday. I love getting to see these more often. They're keeping my spirits up during a rough time.
@49 {{Hugs to you}}} Hope things smooth out for you!
@@smalljen2040 Thank you. We are losing my grandma so it's a long road ahead but I know the sheep and the cute little lamb bleats will help me smile some in the meantime.
Thank you for reminding people about donating to cancer research. My Mother was the oldest of her side in her family. She made it to 89 before she lost her fight to cancer this year. She lived 5 months longer than her doctor said she would.
I also lost my older Sister in her fight against Cancer 37 years ago.
My Stepfather won his battle 4 years ago.
I managed to have a benign tumor. Sometimes, I wonder if my family is cursed.
YES CANCER DOES SUCK !!!
Oh Sandy, my husband is going to blame you…My pet goat herd is almost completely gone now. My last nannie is almost 14 years old! I’m considering raising a herd of lambs! We have a local livestock market which is open 2-3 days a week. The large hair sheep farm is only a mile from us down our gravel road. He travels his lambs to another state to sell. I just might do this! I have a small goat barn and lots more land if I need to spread out. I will definitely start low and slow. I get so excited when you drop a new vlog! I recently retired and I’m going bonkers after I take care of my animals each day. We live in a rural mountain hollow so I only go to town once weekly. Thank you for your inspiration. ❤
Oh Sandi! More cuties that I would love to adopt to cuddle with! Everything is going smoothly and your stats should be rising. Leaving the nanny off for now is a huge money saver. But as you said, you will be setting it up very soon as multiples are arriving now.
The dogs are so funny. Kinsey is the boss lady, Lucy is the sheep foreman, and Piper.... well.... I guess we call her the employee that has a lot to learn. 😂 Although I will say that she is getting less agitated with the ewes and Lucy has gained in energy. It is great to see them all getting along, as well.
Happy, glorious birthday to Mark's mom! 🎉 He knows his way around the kitchen to make her cakes! Did she teach him? Of course there is the exception of the 'cookies' him and Jess made! Tee hee! Hand me a fork and I'll show you how to eat them! 😅😂 I bet they were delicious 😋
I love your new intro with Carissa and doing the daily Advent Calendar with everyone watching. Those little masterpieces look like a ton of fun and I hope to get one for next year. Finances are really tight for me right now since Tim is no longer here on this earth. But, watching you and the family, keeps me going with a smile on my face. 😊 Thank you for that.
The little lamb that was barely moving, did it have a bloody tail? Or am I imagining things? Even with a warm mouth, it seemed like it didn't feel well. I hope that this is my imagination as lambs are about to really start.
May you always be healthy, happy and at peace. I'm sending blessings and prayers from Alabama ❤️
Sandi, you my dear are an amazing wonderful caring loving giving there aren't enough words to describe you, what you do, how you do it it shows in every video.
I/we LOVE YOU thank you for sharing❤❤❤❤❤❤
With regard to aging: Age is an attitude! (I'll admit to having a bad attitude sometimes. teehee)
Kinsey is watching lucy and piper goof off in the barn. She’s like I’m too old for that. Lol
I love seeing the pups playing. Maybe Lucy will be able to lose a few more of those extra pounds and have fun doing it.
Piper is her personal trainer!
Happy 75th birthday, senior Mrs. Brock! What a good son you've raised! 🎂🎂💕💕
Im amazed at how white the lambs are so soon when sometimes they start so dark. Moms do a good job.
One of the best things about you is the positive impact you have had on so many people. Thank you
Love Clarissa the beautiful princess farmhand with you in your intro! So sweet! You have to be the sweetest farm boss ever! Love watching you Sandi greet the new born lambs as they come into this world!
It would be cute to make all the advent crafts into ornaments for one of your trees
I have to tell you how much I love your opening, especially with the dogs as Reindeers and you dressed up in the Frozen dress. So cute.
In my early days watching lambing, I'd get anxious seeing all that meconium cuz that is definitely NOT what you want to see with human newborns. But by now, I've seen so many really mucky lambs just turn out fluffy white cotton balls after Mama's licked them clean. How glad I am that we humans have access to warm water & washcloths 😋😂🤣💕💕
Be careful what you wish for. They could ramp up quickly.
Indeed…. I was cursing myself as I was editing!!!🫣🫣
Thank you Sandi. Happy belated birthday momma Brock. 🎄💚🙃
I'm glad to see the concept of some kid shouting "mom" in the middle of the store happens to other animals too.
A true Canadian… “I have it in the tickle trunk” (Mr. Dressup 😍)
The true meaning of Christmas is what you did with the fundraiser 💜 You’re a very special gal Sandi Brock!
The Mama with the prolapse really settled down. She felt your love. I just love seeing these babies. Yes I went awe. I love seeing Mark make cakes. You bith do so much. We have both sets of measuring cups like you have, the white and black ones. Thank you for your good hesrts and sharing your lives with us.
Mark had me almost spit out my coffee!
The tree adds so much to the mood!❤️🎄🎁💯🐑
Kenzie's looking at Piper and Lucy like, "They're nuts!". 😂😂😂
Time for our beloved Sandi to start building her maternity ward!!! Bring on the babies!!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤
The claiming pens were built & ready this time!
The intro graphics are so great Sandi. Good job on amazing videos and educational content
The puppies crack me up! I so enjoy watching them wrestle with each other. The lambs are a bonus!😉
I just LOVE the little tails wagging! I get an oxytocin overdose everytime!😍😍😍
Greater than 7000 views in 46 minutes!!!! You're a star 🎉🎉
Congratulations on your twins Carissa 😂😂😂😂
Awesome...Full lambing has started. Your Awesome Sandi... GBY ALWAYS 🙏❤️🤗✝️
Please no more prolapse, it does look like she has a few in there. Piper has lived another day, lol, I'm telling you that girl is fearless. Hope a steady flow of healthy babies continues. Thanks Sandi for the update, always appreciated!❤️🎄
Piper is helping Lucy get her waist back - puppy wrestling for the win!
Love watching them lambing. From Ohio
😁was Mark wearing safety glasses to bake the cakes? Lol, just teasing, both of you are amazing ❤ love the babies !
The lambs look really great. Another great project from the advent calendar. Those new set of twins are very cute. I love how Piper was trying to get in to see the lambs. 13 lambs is a good start to this lambing. Playing Wordle sounds like fun. Have a great time with Mark's mom on her birthday. That's a lot of people for a birthday. That's a huge buck! That's great that you contributed some money to both those foundations. That's too bad that she's trying to prolapse. That prolapse harness looks very effective. A second set of triplets is great.
Belated Happy Birthday to Mark's Mom! My Mama is 101 years old.
Sandi, I'm so grateful for the effort you put into making sure we get to see your life.
Much love from WV!!

Hi Sandi! Another great video. I liked how you shared a thank you for your donation with everyone and how you encouraged people to give locally. So glad Jess is doing so well. I think it's great how Mark can cook and bake. My husband can only make toast for himself. Blessings to all of you. ❤😊
The pups are so adorable! But those baby sheep get me every time! 🥹❤️
So many lambs! What a way to have lambing season go this time around.
Thank you for bringing us this magical experience of lambing, Sandi. I pray your black ewe delivers just fine. Enjoy the moments away from the lambing to relax. ❤️
Blessings from Jo in Michigan 🌊
Hi Sandi, you are not paranoid, you onky take care about your lamps and their Mums. You are a brilliant sheep farmer. I I wish I could work with you..I hope when I stop working , maybe 2025 , I could drive to Canada an help you with the sheeps.
My gosh Marks mom is my age 😂😂😂 i love your husbands voice.😊😅😂
Hi Sandi. It amazes me how easily you can put those advent wool pieces together. I am not artistically talented at all. Age is indeed a number. We all have good days and bad days. We have to make the most out of each day.🥰 you are so kind and such a lovely person, Sandi. I so enjoy your videos so much and I’ve followed you for a few years at least and will continue to. I think your Billy lambs are so beautiful.❤️ is that Willow?
I don't think this one has a name. Willow was in the group that just got bred, so she should be lambing in March or April (assuming she's pregnant).
Kenzie is such a good dog! Happy Birthday to Mark's Momma! Thanks for sharing, Sandi! I love Blogmas!
There's nothing Mr Brock can't do, as at home in the kitchen as in the field or mechanical shop..
Happy Birthday, ma! ❤🎉🎂
I love winding yarn while watching the tube. This time I get to wind my golden girls hank. I'm so happy!
Good morning from Ohio!! Have a great day! I love your videos. ❤
I love your opening, cartoon sequences! As well as everything else you do!
Hey Sandi, Can we pre-order the advent calendars for 2024? Love how the ewes are so patient with you, it 's like they are waiting for you to help them.
Love, love, love the music Sandi’s chosen! It perfectly captures the busyness of the lead up to the holiday/lambing season!
don't ask why lol just be glad Lucy is playing with her
I know the stealers annoy you. But it really makes me laugh watching them trying to get to the lambs. And they look so offended 😂😂😂
Awww, what a great way to end my day. Thank you Sandi.
My guess is they will all lamb together and you’re about to have a massive group all at once. Love the babies and mommas and can’t wait to see how many your Billy girl has in the oven! So sweet.
Sandi !!! Thanks for sharing this with us all!!! I appreciate you and your family! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!
Oh. Both Billy twins prolapsed 😢 well you at least know what to do. ❤
Sandi said the one Billy Twin (the one with the "blow out") didn't make it. Sorry for the bad news.
My 33 year old son recently had surgery to remove a large brain cancer. As I followed Jess’s journey I prayed and prayed for her and the whole family. Then my son had a baseball sized tumor removed from his brain, but had no deficits from the surgery. Because of recent studies on this type of cancer, they have a chemo that can fight it.
