I met him in Afghanistan Thanksgiving 2009 when he came with the “Lt Dan Band” to entertain the troops! I have a photo of us together when I jumped up onstage!😊he has the kindest eyes.
God bless you Lt. Dan …you’ve got a good heart ! Sincerely to you Gary Sinise …all troops of the World appreciate you and your band giving your time to veterans and serving soldiers plus their families.Allies together. 🇬🇧Cheers Richard McColl from Scotland. On your acting..”Pure Dead Brilliant! “ As we say here in Glasgow. 👏👍✌️🙏❤️🤘
I saw Gary for the first time in True West costarring with John Malcovich. A truly great performance by both. Very hard to find today, but extremely highly recommended. If you find it, you'll be better for it. Thanks for the service to our veterans Mr. Sinise.
I saw him in Grapes of Wrath, before it went to Broadway. The man, when standing completely still, was so compelling, you couldn't take your eyes off him. Perhaps the most intense Listener, I've ever seen on stage.
I hold Gary in the highest esteem. He is an amazing human being and a great actor who never gets the work he deserves because he is not an "Elite Lefty" as some in Hollywood say they are proud to be.
Lol he was born and bred in Chicago. Of course he's a lefty, he just isn't the kind of person to be in your face about politics because he couldn't give a fuck less, and neither should you.
Future Actor''s Studio graduate, star of stage and screen, Academy Award nominee, and also back to an Inside The Actor's Studio guest, Bradley Cooper at 53:13.
He was good playing the Hero in "the Stand" and also did a good job playing the Villiian Roles in "Snake Eyes" and Ransom. I didn't really watch CSI: New York, so I don't know him in that. I heard he is a Conservative although I think his roles seem to be more Progressive- "the Grapes or Wrath and MIce and Men., etc.
This showed us that if you have a dream (Steppenwolf), then, even though you are out in the suburbs, and have no money, but you have some friends who share your dream, then you can move mountains and change the world! Wow! I was just so surprised. What a story. Thanks for sharing.
He saw Of Mice & Men *at the Guthrie*?! My home territory, and you can bet we were proud of the Guthrie then! It went downhill later, but was a national treasure for so many years. I saw Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Len Cariou live... I hold Gary Sinise in high esteem not only as an actor, but for his work for the military and vets. The man is a true arrow. We have his book, looking forward to reading it.
Gary Sinise I read The Stand twice before you acted in the role of Stu Redman. Sometimes an actor is the precise image of your imagination as you read the book and you were that. A big Thank You for all of the time you’ve spent around the world befriending my brothers and sisters. You still Lt Dan.

Back when this was on I was an uber Democrat, could not believe that he was a republican, slammed him at imdb. 25 years later I can't believe what a jackass I was.
I never stopped admiring his work, even though my political views were so different to his. Now, 2022, I can no longer align with the Democrats, and I'm still a big fan of his work.
he doesnt strike me as super partisan or extreme. rather than espouse his views he has used his platform to give back to our servicemen and women. i wish more on all sides of the political spectrum follow his example.
It is. I like to know how many of those students spending their hard earned money or taking loans to go to School there- actually became actors and/or were able to make a living being an Actor (or Actress). It's a tough profession to get into.
could you imagine Gary Sinise coming out for an interview in 2022 and all the highly-estrogenated actor "men" and the SSRI-drenched "womxn" getting up and leaving in protest
Actually , now that I've watched the whole thing, I am convinced it it just poorly edited. The whole segment where Sinise is explaining about the beginning of "Of Mice and Men" and the American Playhouse "Grapes of Wrath" is really confusing.

Gary Sinise is such a good American. We should all be very proud of him. He has done so much good in this world.
When your Emmy, Golden Globe multiple Tony Award nominations and Oscar nomination are the least of your accomplishments.
True American hero

Not only a great actor, but a great American.
Humble, and modest too.
Gary deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom for all of his work on behalf of veterans
Agreed! He should be recognized and rewarded by the best of us from all over the world!
Ditto
Not only veterans, a couple years ago he expanded the organization's mission to include first responders injured in the line of duty.

Thank you..... Lovely! Gary deserves all his accolades, none more than the Presidential Medal of Freedom for all of his work on behalf of veterans.
I always liked this man. Such a cool actor in his own company. 💯
Thank you so much for helping our service men and women and their families Be safe in all your travels
Enjoy Gary’s sincerity in explaining his method of approaching performance.

A brilliant, humble, under-stated series. I miss it very much.

Gary Sinise is one of the Masters. Hands down. Thank You, emeyl8!!
Great actor. It's fair to say that any role he got involved with turned out to be awesome 👍👍👍👍👍
Never thought I'd find this episode on YT. Thank you so much for uploading it ❤️

One awesome guy.
I love this man with no possibility that it will ever end!
Gary is awesome he was so nice.
He was just great in Forrest Gump which was with Tom Hanks and Snake Eyes, which was with Nicholas Cage.
The old commercials take me back.
I would love to send him a letter, and also meet him in person. That would make this senior citizen very happy. This man is amazing!@
🙂👍
Try writing him c/o Steppenwolf Theatre, 1650 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614. They will probably email it to him or forward it along
Heartbreaking in Of Mice And Men, with John Malkovich.
I hold Gary in the highest esteem. He is an amazing human being and a great actor who never gets the work he deserves because he is not an "Elite Lefty" as some in Hollywood say they are proud to be.
Gary gets plenty of work. He is respected by people of all political stripes. Everyone knows he's genuine.
He was a founding member of the esteemed Steppenwolf Theatre and could join any work he chooses. Your are blinded by ideology

Gary Sinise is a criminally underrated actor and humanitarian. He's a good man. Not bad to look at either

I actually did not know Sinise before Forest Gump and was very surprised to see he HAD legs.
Small roll but great in The Green Mile, and he got to work with another humble actor Mr. Hanks🙃😊
role
Hanks is far from humble.
He saw Of Mice & Men *at the Guthrie*?! My home territory, and you can bet we were proud of the Guthrie then! It went downhill later, but was a national treasure for so many years. I saw Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Len Cariou live...

So true ... the fear of letting yourself down. It happens in so many trades and professions. I know ...
"What's your favorite curse word?"

He was very good in The Stand, by Stephen King.

Thanks! Do you happen to have the 1999 Insider the Actors Studio segment with Sharon Stone ?
no, sorry, I'm just a Gary Sinise fan ;)

Cant believe there was empty seats
Why couldn't the commercials be edited out
i agree
Isn't that Bradley Cooper listening at 53: 14 to Gary Sinise?
Certainly looked like him...
Yes it absolutely was; he studied there. In another video at the actors studio he asks a question but I can’t remember who the guest was.

wolfman Alas, only CZcams has control over ads. They really spam us in popular videos, like this interview.

Perhaps im wrong but id say the interviewer was blunt and like hurry up to sinese while sinese waS funny and interesting to the public
tas maniandevil .... I thought the same thing. This is the only time I felt that with all the interviews I have seen
Keep in mind. These interviews are edited, so that the length is about an hour. That may contribute to the rushed feel.
