The thing about that McDonald's is that it used to be a very famous cafe. It was called Café Imperial (literally, Imperal Cafe) and it had that eagle statue at the entrance, as well as the fancy seats, coloured glass and what not. It opened back in 1936, but faced some financial difficulties, especially during the 80's, as well as other fancy cafes. So after they went under, McDonald's took over and they were asked to preserve some of the ambient of the iconic cafe

I found him by accident one night a few months ago because I watch alot of food videos, anyway he was eating a kebab from some place overseas and it made me want to go get one at midnight 😂 I have since discovered he is one of the most funniest people on youtube(to me anyway) I love his humour and watch all his stuff now.
Spanian, the 'Caja Roja' (literally translating to Red Box in Spanish) is a traditional assortment of chocolates found in Portugal, I think it's exclusive to the Christmas season. A very typical Christmas gift, often shared with family friends.

I've tried Mcdonalds in the UK, China, Spain and Portugal. mcdonalds in portugal, for some reason, is the best. The burger quality and the sauces are amazing

@@Need4FPS depends on the maccas, u need to know which maccas in your areas are the good ones, if they actually make your stuff fresh and to order like they’re supposed to it’s actually beats a lot of places in the world, I’ve tried over 10 countries mcdonald’s.

“The toilets are a letdown”, you know why ? As a McDonalds manager who worked in several countries, people go into McDs toilets and then smear human shit on the walls, mirrors, door handles and the ceiling. McD Toilets need to be able to be hosed out.

Any roadhouse in Australia …. Especially after travelling sports teams have been through. I was a manager and, because I couldn’t expect my team to do it, I had to put on disposable overalls and get a shovel to clean a literal mountain of poop with a toilet brush stuck in it from the men’s room… a very drunk hockey team who had won a state championship on their way home … 😬🤢

In Europe most of the time, we use "Burger" for Beef and "Sandwish" for chicken or fish. There might be exceptions but I don't know them precisly.
Ever since I heard about this I started adopting the terminology despite being Australian, just because it makes more sense. A burger requires a burger patty, which is specifically beef. Without the beef it isn't a burger.
Nice mate! The best part about McDonalds in Portugal is having a Sagres beer with your meal and then an espresso with your McFlurry :)
I`m not surprised by this at all, the Portugese are some of the nicest people on the planet, their warmth transends any grand building, but if it`s housed in such a place then so much the better!

I am from portugal and the first thing I noticed was that he spent a lot because he ordered everything separately, if he had ordered one of the burgers on the menu option that comes with potatoes and bebiba it would have been a little cheaper. Even so, life in portugal is extremely expensive for those who live here.

3:11 In the states we call anything that isn't made with beef mince, sandwiches (Chicken sandwich, Fish sandwich) due to that we usually call ground beef "hamburger or hamburger meat". So, if its made with hamburger meat, its a hamburger. If its a chicken breast or a fish fillet, its a sandwich.

A Million people probably already told you but CBO is our unique item from MCD in Portugal. Stands for Chicken Bacon and Onion. The reason why Mcdonalds tastes a bit better too (at least in comparisson to when i was in NA) is due to our food regulations. It's still trash fast food, but chances of killing your stomach are much lower. Same for Taco bell, i can actually eat without fearing my life in PT.

I can see him reaching 1mill subscribers if he continues to take on big issues and topics and going to the states and visiting the slums and the hoods will really catapult him. I know he doesnt like interacting with people, as is evidenced in his videos to date, but if that ever changes in the future it will open up a whole new perspective and opportunities for his channel.

That Mcdonalds was my firts job 20 years ago, and at this time its pretty diferent from what it was especialy the chairs and tables. If you still on Porto, tou should look for "badalhoca" and it some sandwich of "Ham" and drink "espadal" or go to "Casa Guedes" and taste some pork sandwich with melted cheese.
