Just bought the Happy Village chart, my first ever HAED! I agree it is absolutely gorgeous - not sure when I will start it, but I am glad to have it in my stash!!Love your videos - you are a very restful presence while I stitch. 😊

I have the same issue with my sinuses and pressure changes. No fun. I would probably continue with my planned project but buy the other one and try to find a time to start it later.
Our cat does the same, sometimes we joke she's going to dig all the way to Australia :D

I have 4 cats, and 2 cover their bits up, 1 leaves it uncovered all the time, and the other one will scrape the side of the box for 10 minutes. I'm not sure if he just doesn't like getting his paws in the litter too much, or if he thinks he is covering it up. I have tried to teach him by taking his paw and scooping it in the litter, and he didn't like that, and he continues to scrape the box. He is almost 13 and he has always done that. I'll tell him "cover it up" and he knows to hop out and I'll go over and scoop litter over it. And in regards to the projects, start what you want, stitch what you want, life is too short to do otherwise. Very limited people have access to the stitching woman chart anyway, bc of the SAL. I know I'm not doing it.
My family and I had 2 dogs a few years back, siblings from different litters, Wrinkles and Mocha. Wrinkles would also "bury" his treats in the kitchen or in the hallway. He would move the "dirt" with his snout to cover the treat for a few minutes until he was satisfied, and then Mocha would come along and take it when he was done lol.
That's hilarious. And I love those names!😂
@@TheStitchyWitch it always gave us a good laugh lol. They were Sharpeis, very wrinkly! We had to put down Wrinkles about 2 years ago due to his age and health, but Mocha is still enjoying her golden years back at my parents' home.
I don’t like to have too many WIPs myself but I don’t mind having a lot of charts. So I would buy it now and then slowly kit it up and then schedule it to be started when I felt like it. If you don’t start it next year then there’s always the option of the year after.
I just had to add the Happy village to my wish list. :) I have lots of charts in it already and lots of purchased ones as well. Currently have only 2 charts in work and really this is enough for me as I want to see the progress and not really want to rotate all the time. I work 1 month on one of them, next month on another, minimum 200 stitches per day. When one of them is finished, I can start another one - the one that passed test of time and I still love it, not the one just released.

Both charts are wonderful in their own way. I think your idea to toss a coin is a great one - you'll either be happy with the toss or not and that will tell the story! I don't think anyone will fault you if you decide to go with Happy Village instead of The Lady. Who knows, you may decide to start one chart this year and keep the other as a new start next January! Astro Cat is looking really good. It'll be fun to see the cat come into the picture.

So Carla I honestly think you need to follow your heart they are both gorgeous charts but happy village is a gorgeous chart.
These projects take so long to stitch that I think you should follow your heart when you decide which chart to start. We're still in January, so you have plenty of time to look at and think about both of them before you have to make a decision. Don't worry about letting people down, I don't think anyone would blame you if you did end up picking Happy Village, or a completely different chart in the end. No one wants you to force yourself through a project when your heart isn't in it or you're sitting there longing to work on something else.
That said, I've been so good about not buying more charts for so long, but I fell for Happy Village and bought it within minutes of it going on sale. I'm working on finishing two of my full coverage projects this year to start two new HAEDs next year and Happy Village is at the moment sharing the number 1 spot of possible choices for the regular sized project with one I already have kitted up. The second new start will be a smaller chart. I like thinking about what I want to start next, but the choice won't be made until I'm getting close to actually starting because what makes me excited today might not be interesting at all to me at the end of the year.

Don't take my opinion lol because I literally start things all the time 😅 I guess it depends how you feel about having alot of wips, for me personally I don't mind how many I have as I stitch just to stitch not to finish, but at the same time I can understand how having lots of large projects can play on your mind, go with whatever you love the most ❤

My cat scratches on the sides of the litter box too. It's not very productive but he seems to think it's necessary lol
On Carla. I would have the same problem. I did stitchers retreat so the sewing woman would go quite nicely as a. Companion piece but OMG the village is fabulous..i can't decide . either. All I can say is go with your gut
