Where angels land | ZION NATIONAL PARK | NP #4 of 63

Join me on our incredible road trip through Utah - starting with Zion National Park! After breaking down right outside my apartment, we managed to get my van moving again with enough time to make it to our campsite and get ready for the big day ahead.
Once in Zion, the first adventure was hiking ANGELS LANDING - #1 on ‪@alltrails‬ because of its steep cliffs, panoramic views of the valley, and danger. After the hike we ate lunch on the Zion Lodge lawn and headed for the Emerald Pools - a tranquil oasis surrounded by lush vegetation and several waterfalls.

▸ Founded in 1919, Zion is the FIRST National Park in Utah, and fourth park in the NPS!
▸ Zion Canyon: The park's most iconic feature is Zion Canyon, a deep and narrow gorge carved by the Virgin River. The canyon stretches for 15 miles (24 kilometers) and is lined with towering cliffs, reaching heights of up to 2,500 feet (762 meters).
▸ Located in Southwestern Utah, the park spans an area of approx. 229 square miles (593 square kilometers). It is situated in the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert regions.
▸ The park attracts millions of visitors each year. In 2020, the park recorded over 3.5 million visitors, making it one of the most visited national parks in the United States.
▸ Famous for its challenging hiking trails, it boasts one of the most popular and thrilling hikes: Angels Landing. The trail leads to a dramatic viewpoint with stunning panoramic views of the park's majestic landscapes.
