When it comes to cleaning hacks, I find that practicing minimalism works well. It makes your home easier to dust and clean.
Still learning something new from Jacquie even after her Heavenly Birth. Her videos are somehow comforting in my sadness at her loss but Heavens gain. Love to Judd, Hippo and Jacquie's Mom and Dad.
Me, too. I cry when I watch the ones uploaded after it happened, but watching the older ones makes me happy, kind of as if she's still here with us. Because of her videos, I have been able to push to get answers for my symptoms that I wouldn't have known had a cause, or were even related to each other, if it hadn't been for her videos (took me over a year to be diagnosed with one of them, but it would have been many times that if I hadn't known which testing to push for).
We all clean toilets! Mine has to be clean enough to throw up in 🤣🤢
I laughed way more than I should have at this! ;D
Chronically Jaquie lol! It’s the one time when you get eye level, and not the time to be grossed out!
When your hands are hurting, you could still hand prime by putting the bag on a hard surface and pushing down on it. Hugs!
Hey Jaquie. Im 37 years old and from Denmark, Im sick too, and you teach me many things every Day almost and it helps me on my bad days too see your vlogs. So thanks you for sharing your life with us. I also love to watch and follow Harlow ❤️ sending you a Big hug from Josefine
Josefine Qvotrup I love, love Denmark! We had a student from there for a year (that was 25 years ago). I just met up with her in Chicago last week! We still visit each other. She just brought me some remoulade, dried onions, and some Matador Mix!
Congrats to Harlow, she made the 2017 Top 100 Viral Videos, #63 Ranch is Water.........you go girl!!!
Jaquie, you continue to amaze me with your perseverance and positivity
I discovered your chanel a week ago and I have to say it helps me a lot to fight my own chronic illnesses. You're so amazing and I don't have the words to say how much I love you girl ❤
Hugs from France and keep going, you're wonderful!
Praying everything goes well with your surgery. And also a speedy and flawless recovery.
Hey girl! You can still quick prime, even on bad days! I ALWAYS fill my feeding bag with warm water (to prime my tubing for the extra water), since I have to rinse the bag every 4 hrs. So once it’s full with water or formula, I simply set it on the counter and push down on the bag! Super simple, especially for those of us with hand issues! Best wishes tomorrow!!
Every time I watch you clean I'm so amazed. You push through so much to clean. Whenever my mental health isn't doing well, I just can't force myself to clean. Things get really messy and it's so frustrating. But I might use all of my mental energy to go to work and then I just can't do it. People call me lazy and it's frustrating. Hopefully someday I'll have a hack system of my own.
We miss you, and your bright light of positivity. And we hope Judd and Harlow, and everyone else you loved, know we still think of them.
I just developed an illness recently and have been in and out of hospitals and it’s been hard to keep up with all of my chores and such. Thanks so much for posting this because it really helps give me motivation and reassurance that I can get stuff accomplished without forcing my body to get things accomplished when I can’t.
Thanks for the vlogs Jaquie. You teach me something new everyday!
Sending positive thoughts that your surgery goes well tomorrow!
I was thinking about your question and vinegar as a cleaner. I use a mixture of vinegar water and my Doterra Essential Oils. I typically do a combo of eucalyptus and tea tree oil. A couple of drops each. Lemon essential oil by Doterra lemon essential oil has a lab test efficacy to kill the viral and bacteria exposures you are looking to get rid of plus smells great.
I’m watching this really early Monday morning so I hope your surgery goes wonderfully and everything go better then planned and hopefully you have less pain then expected
Posting on my husband's account 😎. I love your cleaning hacks. They have made a huge difference to me. I bought the dusting wand as a start. I LOVE it. I bought a different toilet tool last week (bummer🙃) but it is still a HUGE help. It got me thinking and I bought a sink and shower tool too (I have issues with my neck, arms, and hands). Keep those hacks coming! THANKS 😋
Praying for you tomorrow!!!
Good luck on your surgery today :) you will be in my prayers for a quick and speedy recovery 💕
That looks awesome. That toilet bowl cleaner. I didn't know about that!
Wakako Tsujita That has been around for years, at least in my part of the country. Johnson Wax sells that, or at least used to.
Thanks for showing us your cleaning hacks Jaquie! Good luck with your surgery! I hope all goes well!
I really needed this. Granted, I can't afford anything and I'm alone in my struggle, but if I get disability, I will be saving for a Roomba. It helps me to know that I'm not the only one who loses consciousness while doing housework. I don't have a walker and I'm in the stage of my illness, where I go all the way down when I fall. I'm thinking a walker might be a good idea.
Christy T the shark version n of the roomba is half the price and works just as well in my experience.
Please do get a walker. You should be able to find one at the thrift store or Christian Mission for less than $5. I wish you lived in my town, I have one that I could give you. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, both. I've also decided to accept my parents' offer of the shower chair they have from my grandma. I realized yesterday, that I haven't taken a shower this year. I've only been able to wash with a washcloth or wipes, while seated.
It's nice to hear about someone else who is also allergic to at least some chemical cleaning products. My asthma gets so bad that I can't tolerate any of them (the fumes are a huge problem for me until they dissipate all the way, and the wipes can't stay in the bathroom trash), so now I use baking soda and vinegar for the toilet bowl and tub, watered down vinegar for the mirror, and watered down peppermint castile soap for everything else, and I no longer have any issues breathing while cleaning (and the bathroom doesn't smell like cleaning products afterwards, just fresh) - win!
Ooh thanks for the cleaning hacks! I’ve been making my own bathroom, and kitchen cleaner and furniture polish myself out of vinegar and essential oils I love knowing there are no chemicals but that toilet cleaning system looks so useful. Good luck with your surgery xxxx
love you babe!! ive been watching you since i got my POTS diagnosis. I hope you do well tomorrow for your surgery❤️❤️
The new TV looks amazing! Your house is coming along!
I'm love guys. You inspire me to keep doing things even if they are hard.
I too have found hacks for cleaning when you're chronically ill. I've tried natural products like lemon, baking soda and vinegar too. Good luck with your surgery. It's wonderful that you've got your own cheerleading team.
Good luck with your surgery, Jacquie. I’m having surgery on my right elbow and forearm on Monday. I have a connective tissue disorder that has messed up the elbow joint and caused a nerve entrapment. It’s been a problem for almost a year now, and I’m so glad it’s finally going to be fixed. I’m only not looking forward to not being able to use my right arm for 4-6 weeks. Wishing you all the best! C
Good luck tomorrow!! I hope everything goes well with your surgery!!🍀💕💜
I’ve had chronic pain and other issues for over 5 years... really my whole life. I’m definitely hypermobile and have symptoms of POTS(extreme dizziness/fast hr whenever I stand up), joint subluxations and pain, and fatigue. EDS is the first syndrome I’ve come across that all of my problems fit into. I’m going to doctors to try and figure out if I have EDS or not. Even if it is something else, it’s really uplifting to see another chronic pain warrior going through similar struggles and triumphs. 💪🏻
Hey jaquie thank you for making videos that help us all out who have chronic illness
Oh man that toilet scrubber kit is something I need! I cannot clean anything right now. If I can clean my toilet and shower, that would be a blessing. Best wishes for an easy surgery with a smooth recovery.
Thank you so much Jaquie for a awesome vlog 😊❤️
So thankful for this. I really struggle with the tub and haven't been able to clean it in so long. I know what my next Wal-Mart purchase will be :)
Sending you positive thoughts and prayers for surgery day. Hugs to you and Harlow 💗
Those are great hacks, ty for sharing. Will look for the toilet cleaning kit next time I'm at Walmart. Wish we had a Roomba, we have five big dogs. I told my bf that I was going to shave the dogs so they won't shed for awhile and I can knit/crochet them sweaters out of the hair we collect from the vacuum cleaner now! I just had a neurostimulator implanted on 12/18, raked up dog poop today for an hour and my back wasn't too happy. Will try to vacuum in a few days, will give my back a break.
Good luck with the surgery tomorrow! Will be sending prayers and good thoughts your way. Looking forward to the vlogs with your progress but don't hurt yourself. I know I'll understand if you're not feeling up to it every day, take care of yourself first!
Sending you effortless amounts of love, healing and good vibes. I'll be thinking of you all day and I'll send Harlow some good dog thoughts too. 🌼💕
I know you're already done the draft of your assignment, but when you said "unclog" I immediately thought you were going to write about unclogging a feeding tube! You're so good at explaining medical things to us in the vlogs - maybe you could consider using those sorts of examples for your course too!
Keeping you in my prayers Jaquie. Waiting to hear that all went well today.
Prayers for Monday and your surgery!
I love my Roomba too. It amazes me the difference. We lost a screw in it and until I found it or bought another screw I didn’t want to use it. Even though we vacuumed my wood floors still were dusty. Once I found the screw I was amazed again at the difference.
Thank you for your vlogs. It keeps my girlfriend motivated while she also has chronic illness. I hope your surgery goes well.
Trouble pop-a-matic!......that was my favorite game as a kid! I don’t think I’ve played it in over 30 years! That’s a great blast from the past!
Goodluck on your operation tomorrow i hope you are better soon
Good luck on the surgery!!!
I didn't think to use the scrubbers for the bathtub. That's amazing and would save so much time and the need to bed over and inhale cleaning sprays! I'm going to have to try that!.
have fun with trouble!!! Thanks for the cleaning hacks!!!
As much as I love your vlogs (and I do), please please don't push yourself to upload or post! Your wellbeing is top priority
Have you ever tried more natural cleaning products? Like vinegar and baking soda? It may help with the allergies
Personally no because I am not having issues with my current products. I also need something strong to kill the germs.
With my asthma and eczema, I've only been able to use unscented stuff, and also natural cleaners so I mostly use vinegar and baking soda. It works pretty well! I also wear my mask and use gloves.
you and your family are so funny to watch! (Especially hippo)
I did not know about that cleaning thing for the toilet! It only bothers me in person, Terrible gag reflex! Jaq you got this tomorrow, just another tool in the toolbox
I LOVE cleaning gagets, so thank you for sharing! By the way, how do you keep your fingernails nails looking so lovely? 💗
Hope your surgery goes well tomorrow!! Praying that your new j tube will improve your kinking problem!!!
Thank you. I have EDS and im trying to manage it all especially since all 4 of my kids are positive while 3 struggle already. Its a lot
That Lysol cleaner is amazing ;) the hydrogen peroxide in it cleans my grout so nice, whereas bleach makes the grout looked "bleached" and gives me the worst headache. That Lysol smells so much better too.
Thanks for sharing the hacks!
My mental issues make tackling big projects difficult, so I relate to you. I have to divide things up into smaller tasks and take breaks so I don't get overwhelmed. I'll do a couple things, then take a break to draw or play with my dog. (A female golden!)
good luck for tomorrow hun xx
You're looking healthy Jaque!..and you've gained weight and look good! I'm glad your going into your surgery soon because since you appear to have put weight on and look so healthy I assume this is a good thing so as to put risks to a low when in surgery and during recovery. I can't wait for your surgery I wish you would do a countdown cos I don't know when to expect it but only that its soon! Blessings to you! ..and everyone.
Jaquie , thank you so much for this great video! :-) You reminded of myself when I clean my placer, I do one thing, and then have to rest for a while , then go do another, LOL. So nice to feel that I am not alone doing this, and that I am not just "being lazy" as some people have said to me! I love the toilet brush cleaner thingy....do you know the real name of this gadget? I will look for it at Wal-Mart. Thanks again. Take care, C.
Good luck tomorrow Jaquie!
Hey Jac. If you start reacting to your glass cleaner, I found that little bit of rubbing alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle is the best glass cleaner. Since u use alcohol swabs all the time. Plus very cheap and product last longer..
Sorry Jaq. My autocorrect went straight for Jac. Lol
Hey, I love your new intro!
I use simple green or clean works it's a natural all purpose cleaner that's safe for everything. I only use bleach when needed for the tub. But I'm glad you found products that you can use.
Hello miss Jaquie. Did your sister in law make your piggys LOL PRAYERS for tomorrow💜💞🙏🐾🐶
For me, I react to strong cleaners with harsh chemicals, so I have been using Ms. Meyers cleaning supplies for literally everything. It smells amazing and I'm glad I found it. I get my vog mask soon too :)
Heather Burton Me too! Anything with bleach or strong linen/lemon/etc scent makes my eyes water and my skin itch. Method also has great cleaning stuff, I recommend their wood cleaners, bathroom products (very light scent!) and glass cleaner.
Holly Roscoe thanks!!
Away my mom used to clean up the allergens in the air and the dog hair that floats around as well as a lot of dust is just turn on the vacuum without a hose on, depending on the vacuum you have that you use, and leave it on. It just sucks the dust away. Essentially helpful if you live in the South and in a older ish house.
Good luck with your surgery today!!! I hope everything goes well! And could you maybe give a little bit more information about the game trouble? I live in Belgium and so far I haven't seen or heard anything about that game. My family and I really love board games and it seems to be an amazing game so maybe we would like to get it ourself
Honestly I do not think I will have the energy to explain the game for a while, but I think a quick internet search will tell you. I love it because it is repetitive and takes a little thinking, but also tons of fun and not too hard to do when you are not feeling well! (:
Sophie Van Der Sinckt I live in the netherland and to me it looks like mens erger je niet
In the UK the game trouble is called Frustration and its one of the few games that I love to play :)
I didn’t know you could developed new allergies. This last month I’ve found (accidentally) 2 new allergies for me! Nothing serious thankfully. I was at a store and got burning and a rash from the soap in their bathroom. And then out to eat found out I can’t eat shrimp. I knew I couldn’t eat fish but now shrimp is in it. I’m sad cause I love shrimp but it’s ok.
Good luck tomorrow at the surgery!
Mindy N It may not necessarily be the shrimp, some restaurants soak their shrimp in bleach products. It could have been the product that they used to clean the shrimp and not the shrimp itself. Try cleaning your own shrimp at home under cold water to be certain. I would hate to give up shrimp. Hope it works for you.
You should try Method cleaning products. Strong fumes, such as bleach and lemon scented products make me red and itchy. Same thing with aerosols. I use their antibac bathroom products, the wood for good spray, and glass cleaner. They have a nice scent, but not overpowering. They also make a dye free and lightly fragranced hand soap called sweet water. For laundry I use tide pur clean detergent, downy free and clear softener, Lysol laundry sanitizer and free and clear bounce dryer sheets. The laundry sainitizer is great because you can use it in cool water to kill the germs, vs hot water which ruins fabric. It also cuts down on allergens and dust mites. Happy cleaning!
Wow, this video was very helpful and inspiring to me. I am new to chronic severe pain (I've always had low pain, but not like this) and I have a question about your walker.
Right before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, my fiance and I had closed on a two story home. I love my house, but I've found I've had such a hard time cleaning. If I am not in a lot of pain before I clean, I surely will be after even just crouching to clean the toilet.
Do you have stairs? If so, how do you get the walker up and down the stairs? I seriously need some kind of help around the house (like an easily moveable seat to help ease the back pain) but I'm not sure what is out there.
Have u tried all natural cleaners? Like method and Mrs Meyers
The time laps is very coo doing your feedbags, do you have a go pro headpiece. It would be neat to see the process from your point of view. 1st person care
Nice hacks! I use non scented/child/pet safe stuff. Usually does the trick. I use disposable painters masks to clean/dust.
I use cleaning-strength white vinegar and water. And a friend sent me some thieves oil for doterra essential oil company and WOW. Love!! :)
Another way to prime it is to just select run and when it gets done priming you just push pause and then connect your feeding tube
Good luck on your surgery!!!!!!!!
The hacks are great!
It's funny cause we are going to school at the same time. When u talk about homework I double check myself lol
Love you and will be thinking of you all day tomorrow. I hope you wake up yelling no paiiiin for this surgery....LOL...you a chronic illness Rock Star!
Hi I wish u luck on your surgery Jaquie praying for u Harlow is such a good dog you are so sweet good luck
Harlow is such a good dog ☺
Much love to you and your family for your surgery❤️
First time ive seen you thank you for sharing the info💖😆🙃
Hi Jaquie :) when you wear those plastic gloves to clean your bathroom, does it help with dry or sensitive skin?
Great info, I am gonna buy the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner, I use the scrubbing bubbles foam cleaner for my tub. I'm also gonna try using a mask when I dust I too have dust allergies. I already use the gloves :) Thanks for the hacks!!!
Also I split my bathroom cleaning into two days, day one is toilet and sink and day two is shower/tub
Love the hacks!
Your dog is smart. Knows you hooked something up to your body and is worried about it came right over to you even can see in your dog's eyes and the way she looks at you.
Listen to your dog.
can u do a house tour.
Have u considered making ur own natural disinfecting cleaning solution? Usually its vinegar and water.
No, I am doing well with my current products and need something stronger than that to clean
I don’t have a feeding tube but I saw a vlog in which the person primed by pressing run and then pausing it when it gets to the end to hook up.
You should get an air purifier for your living room. Helps with dust and cleans the air
When I am older my doctors said I could get a service dog 💙 I love your vlogs 💙
Super Star Why not now?
cellogirl11RW because my parents wont let me and my sister is scared of dogs because of an incedent with one
I am looking at having to save for a Roomba as well because every time I vacuum I end up having an asthma attack. It would also be beneficial because of myself being arthritic as well
I'm praying for your surgery tomorrow
Simple Green. Rubbing alcohol.White vinegar.
You should have done your assignment on unclogging feeding tubes considering the experience you have 😉
