@@christinescott5002 My other thought with it is that if you spill liquid on that countertop and it goes down the crack it'll be a nightmare to clean up! Still a very clever design feature, maybe they could just move the skincare out of the way when they use the oven?
I think this is my favorite van layout yet! And I’ve watched a lot of videos. My favorite is how the bed collapses. I probably would leave it in the small config most the time as a solo traveler, but love the option to expand when traveling with someone

I would not be wanting to make down a bed every day i know i just wouldnt do it but i would like a good amount of storage space and i dont care if the toilet is in full view of me. I dont need to waste space and water showering every day either. This van has a beautiful bathroom but I would prefer to rough it a bit more just to gain ssome space. I have seen one solo female thought she wanted a shower but did not take long to start hanging clothes in her fixed bathroom. I'd be going solo possibly with a dog. Horses for coarses.
I admire your courage in downsizing the cabinetry. I highly recommend packing cubes for storing your clothes… The kind that you put into a suitcase. I use them in our trailer and I am able to stuff so many clothes into two drawers!

Very nice! It's like a european appartment with the blond wood and white counters. It's very classy looking and I love the panic room for the fur baby.
I am fascinated with van conversions and have seen many presented on CZcams but this conversion is The Best Uncluttered design style of them all!! So clean, neat, organized, fresh, modern, sleek, etc., etc., etc. Love the thought you two have in accommodating" your son" and the smart conveniences all built in like the sliding table top, back curtains, make-up elevator, doggie storage/seat, etc. Enjoy your van adventures!! Just a spectacular design!

Yeah, and if you were standing on the side near the bed and a fire started, it could be incredibly dangerous and difficult to escape. I hope they have a fire extinguisher.
I am totally in love with this van build. I love the green tiles the most and the light wood tones of the van! Makes it so much more open and inviting as well as minimalistic! I absolutely love it and I’ll probably steal some ideas if I ever do a future van build 😅

Your van has everything you need to have it be liveable long term. Since you have previously lived in a van and know what worked and what you would like to have made your new build is so well designed. I love the induction burner and your other little oven that seems to do everything. I haven't seen a refrigerator like yours before. It is very spacious for a van. One thing I love the most is how simple and not cluttered your van is. You have thought of everything. The color is perfect in the shower, bye the way. Congratulations on your new build. Looks like your vision for what you wanted has come alive. Looking forward so seeing you on the road and let us know how it's working out. Really great, guys. Nicely done. I was thinking, at the end, the curtains didn't stay. There are strip magnets you could sew into the sides to help with that, just in a few key places, and even in the middle to keep them together, if that would work for you. I was recently looking into that for myself, then saw this, and had to suggest it for an easy fix. Congrats on your beautiful new home!
Very distinct and lots of creativity! Love the shower and vent, slide out tables, dog house, built in water filter, pull down controller wall inside cabinet, heated floor, movable storage bench. I just wonder about real life storage. Please keep us posted. Oh and I love the skin care pop up shelf. Great job!

That would be my problem too LOL. Just could not do it. But I love everything else--so many brilliant little touches like the skincare cabinet, sliding window, skylight, toilet/shower and mostly the electrical/heating/water systems. The tech is top-notch, just what I'd want. But yeah...I'd need way more personal storage. Would have to find a way.

Brilliant conversion! One word of advice as a mechanic myself.... you need to ensure your batteries are well ventilated as they do swell, without addiquat room to allow them to "breathe" they could explode, I have seen it happen before... I definitely wouldn't put your washing in there. Love the build!

Love this video and all the ideas I’m storing for my own build. I would make a couple changes for my preference. Swap the location of the sink and shower. This would allow space to swivel the driver’s seat (if a little legroom was added). Add a sliding window over sink area in new location. Put a hinge on the tops of the storage at the foot of the swivel chairs. Thanks for consistently sharing your lives living in a van. Happy New Year! 🥳

This is my absolute favourite van conversion to date ❤ The only issue I foresee and/or I would have is the small amount of space for clothes storage. I love the dog area which I would want to replicate as we have a pooch too but as he always wants to be next to me I would possibly have to consider forsaking this for drawers as he sleeps on our bed anyway. Love love love it!

this van is so cool its so open but has EVERYTHING even a toaster thats so cool and its so well designed as welll and it looks super sleep but everything has been accounted for
Great van design! You can get travel kits (for clothes) that compress with a zip, meaning you can fit more into a small space easily. I’d be doing that with such minimal space for clothes, but then, I’d also need hanging space.
Suggestion: don't cook with the induction cooktop in the open drawer; it would force you to stay on whichever side of the drawer you're at when you start cooking. I think the curbside counter top has enough space for a built-in induction cooktop. Also if the door on the reefer is reversible, it seems that while cooking, the contents would be easier to access with hinges on the left. Also like the low profile toaster oven.
I think they can just pull it out to cook then put it away. Then they can have free counter space. It’s not like people cook all day so it’ll be a waste to have a built in cooktop

I love your old van but this one is way better! It has everything needed in a house, bathroom toilet, kitchen, dining and bedroom/ area! And my fave is Tonkins’ space! You guys did it so well. Congratulations and thanks for sharing

Love this video and all the ideas I’m storing for my own build. I would make a couple changes for my preference. Swap the location of the sink and shower. This would allow space to swivel the driver’s seat (if a little legroom was added). Add a sliding window over sink area in new location. Put a hinge on the tops of the storage at the foot of the swivel chairs. Thanks for consistently sharing your lives living in a van. Happy New Year! 🥳

This is my absolute favourite van conversion to date ❤ The only issue I foresee and/or I would have is the small amount of space for clothes storage. I love the dog area which I would want to replicate as we have a pooch too but as he always wants to be next to me I would possibly have to consider forsaking this for drawers as he sleeps on our bed anyway. Love love love it!
I've watched prob 50 van conversions & this is the most thought out, dog friendly, functional & beautiful van !

this van is so cool its so open but has EVERYTHING even a toaster thats so cool and its so well designed as welll and it looks super sleep but everything has been accounted for

Great van design! You can get travel kits (for clothes) that compress with a zip, meaning you can fit more into a small space easily. I’d be doing that with such minimal space for clothes, but then, I’d also need hanging space.

This is the first van I've seen that I actually feel i could live in. So stylish! Well done!
Suggestion: don't cook with the induction cooktop in the open drawer; it would force you to stay on whichever side of the drawer you're at when you start cooking. I think the curbside counter top has enough space for a built-in induction cooktop. Also if the door on the reefer is reversible, it seems that while cooking, the contents would be easier to access with hinges on the left. Also like the low profile toaster oven.
I think they can just pull it out to cook then put it away. Then they can have free counter space. It’s not like people cook all day so it’ll be a waste to have a built in cooktop
