After spending 2 days in Malaysia with a few locals (that are from Chinese descent) it's scary how the character's English accent of Uncle Roger is 100% accurate

I love that he kept the studio in the UK even after moving to LA. Makes for so much nostalgia. And it's just more nostalgia to come the longer he is in LA
it's not only a studio. it's where he lived/lives in the UK. he mentioned this in his Haiyaa podcast. i think he still has his plants and stuff in there and he pays someone to take care of them haha

Thanks for the rice cooker tip! Seen some many rice videos no one's ever mentioned this. Trying to get rid of all my Teflon. The rice cooker and loaf pan are all that's left.

The thing Auntie Liz said about it being not good to wash rice in the rice cooker insert, I commented the exact same thing in one of your earlier videos.
Remember niece and nephew use the right amount not the white amount how long is ready for us
I didnt know about the rice potentially scratching the rice cooker pot while washing the rice. Thanks Auntie Liz
I wash my rice in a strainer, water runs right through, I can run it all I want and just dump the rice into the cooker when I am happy with it.
Wash it by squeezing it with your hands, not against the pot
I've been washing the rice in many many different cooker pots my entire life. I have never scratched any of them ever. Don't worry about it too much, you'll be fine. You'd have to scrub the rice furiously like a maniac to damage the coating.
@@KrenisphiaI work in an Asian restaurant and you absolutely will scratch them over time. We run two 15L rice cookers non stop all day and it takes about six months of constant use to wear the non stick off the pots
@@BarneyGumbl3 No one here is running their rice cookers non stop all day. That is a very different setting to normal use. I stand by my comment, the vast majority of people don't need to be worried about scratching the coating. Unless their cooker is already very old..
