I have the tan one for performance and barrels ! My mare would always get sore and you can’t tighten the cinch much because she would get sore. And the pad completely changed her whole attitude ! I’m seriously obsessed with these !

Do you still like it for your treeless after using it for a few months? I'm about to buy one but want to make sure it's worth it after it's worn in a bit :)

    sweat marks mean NOTHING

    • @laurakay8428

MsNumber1rider They mean a lot. Looking at sweat marks shows how the saddle pad and saddle are fitting. If the sweat marks are uneven and there is dry patches it shows there is uneven pressure and not correctly fitting which can cause a lot of problems.

@@laurakay8428 rediculous , think what you like

MsNumber1rider I’ve talked to vets about this. They even recommended looking at sweat parts and checking for soreness. I have multiple equine vet books that talk about it as well as a friend who was a vet assistant. Every vet i’ve talked with has said this as well. If you don’t think the sweat marks have meanings then hey that’s just your opinion but maybe you’ll find some research and be able to learn about it ! How do you tell if saddles, saddle pads fit as well as soreness possibilities?

@@laurakay8428 HAY , you can read , lol keep checking those wet spots

They mean a lot actually. Anytime I’ve ever had uneven sweat marks my horse was sore the next day. The reason there’s dry marks as opposed to even sweat is because the saddle is putting so much pressure on that one spot that the horse can’t sweat in the area due to a lack of circulation. If you continue to ride that horse with uneven pressure the hair pigment will turn white since they get no circulation and the muscle will atrophy (deplete) causing much worse issues.

I have the saddle pad as well ! They have me on their insta lol. It’s honestly my favorite saddle pad brand. Every other saddle pad gets my high withered mare sore...ever since I got this pad she’s been completely different !
Edit: mine is the Texan 100% Elite Pressed Grey Wool Saddle Pad but it’s tan and around 1 inch. I’m not 100% sure I’ll have to check again. If it’s not that it’s the Montana and it has the cinch relief cut out
