@@bigsouthranchin nice I’ve only heard good things about srs. The reason I asked was my friends who used Corrientes all had their horses sore in the same spot as rooster.
@@outdoorschan yea the pad definitely helps. I can ride my mare with a regular pad and she’s fine. I think it’s usually a combination of saddle and the structure of the horses back. But I recommend making sure your horse is comfortable because it makes a big difference on their willingness to be with you and doing the job.
My corriente saddle causes dry spots at these points. I made one of these pads with a hole saw to an old pad and it fixed it. Need to try one of these!!

Works great! It’s pricey but worth the money. I use it every time I ride with rooster.
You are supposed to pay attention to whether the saddle is fitting the horse correctly. Don't wait for the dead hair area to show up.

Actually mine is a SRS saddle made in pilot point TX. I bought it new in 08.

No prob with my Corriente saddles. full sweat mark, no sore back, no white hair. Have jerked loads of cows with em. Gotta buy what fits your horse.
