The batching for this set is awful from what I’ve seen. Multiple people pulling the same cards/hits out of the same products and cases. Really disappointing. I opened 3 etbs, pulled 1 ex, 1 ir, and a gold energy. Horrible pull rates for me (not worth 150) but a fun set to open nonetheless.
My wife loved the poster , I put it away and she was like that's going on the wall lol
Ive surprisingly been very lucky with this set compared to others. Out of 30 packs(2 ETBs and 2 BBs) ive got the Erika SIR, Charizard and Blastoise SIRs, and a couple of full arts along with the ivysaur IR. Ill open a few more packs and then buy some singles to finish off my chase cards. I do have the UPC coming in October as well.
you got insane luck😆, My first opening was also really good, SIR zapdos and Charizard, 18 hits total. idk why poeple saying this set has horrible pullrates
@@NexisAlexis it definitely feels like it. Im pretty stoked. I don't even care about the value of these cards its a good mix of great art with nostalgia for me. I feel like its one of those sets thats totally a hit or miss. Sounds like you got some good pulls too. The Zapdos SIR and Alakazm are definitely in the scope for me lol.
Bruh I opened it 15 packs and got the venusaur sar, and nothing else’s this set is ass.

opened two etbs had a ton of fun!In the first one was a blastoise ex and caterpie IR. the second one had a poliwhirl IR and Alakazam SIR which was my chase card!!! feels good to hit my chase on my first opening.
Opened 1 ETB & 1 Binder collection, had a lot of fun on my video, but didn’t pull anything crazy. Also got a gold basic energy. I’d love to complete this set as it will be my 1st ever to try and complete!
Just opened up a poster box and Pulled a SIR Charizard, Regular EX wigglytuff and I do enjoy getting the Cosmic Holo Energy cards in there. Also plan on making a set of this.
I might get the 6 pack box in the near future. Today I'm going to open up the package of Trick or Treat packs with my daughter to see what we get. It's too bad they don't have code cards with them but they should be fun nonetheless
Ive had both good boxes and bad boxes. My best experience came from a booster bundle, with 4 hits, 2 of them being Illustration rares, and the others 1 gold mew and an ex card. My worst was 1 ETB and 2 poster collections, and all I pulled was the regular Alakazam ex...that was it. I did eventually pull the Charizard SIR from an ETB though! Cheers Jake!

I just opened my first ETB. Got the Gold Mew and the IR Psyduck. Got a couple of the energies and alakazam EX as well. I'm like you, I'll open a few more products (I just really want the binder and the Mew/Mewtwo cards) and then I'll buy whatever else a while later after hype goes down some more. But the way prices have dropped recently, there's no reason to open hundreds of packs to get what you want.
I opened the binder set and 2 ETBs and was able to get of the Giovanni cards. Plan on opening more.
pulled the charizard full art and alakazam alt art in the poster collection also packed blastoise alt art in the etb and from 4 booster bundles got alt art bulbasaur, alt art squirtle, full art blastoise, erikas invitation and a few other ex cards

Ive seen a few openings now. love the set, but dont think i could buy and packs, too rough on the pull rates.
6 hits in 18 packs seems to be average. Nice pulls, you'll have to update us on the binder at some point, maybe once you've opened 40 packs and maybe once you've completed it with singles with price breakdown + discussion?
I opened a case of 10 etbs. Got 5 SIRs (3x Erikas Invitation, 1 Charizard, 1 Blastoise) 3 FA Trainers (Erika, The other girl, the dude with the blocky hair) and 2 Gold (both switches) -- Overall think I pulled pretty well compared to some videos Ive seen. My chase was the Zapdos SIR (will likely just buy that one now).
Are there only 3 promo cards in the S/V 151 set? That being the mew and mewto promos from UPC and snorlax promo from etb?
You mentioned being jaded based on how your opening went…my PC ETB had double rare Zapdos and Charizard ex, and three holo energies. It hurt.
Some people get tons of hits, others get nothing but tears...that every single Scarlet and Violet set opening so far 😅 I got to agree, when I buy products I almost ALWAYS end up disappointed. Kinda sucks, but was the same way with Sword and Shield. People have just forgotten.
Can we just see a set excluding the 151 and do 152-251 and then 252-384 such beautiful eras of Pokémon
Its either a ton of hits or no hits at all for me… I’ve had multiple SIRs n then two ETBs with zero hits lol. It’s a rollercoaster right now lol
I opened a booster bundle and got incredible pulls. However the qulity of print was so bad. I complained to TPCI and the following solution was offered:
We will replace items deemed in need of exchange and we will include an
additional booster pack for up to and including every four USD in shipping cost.
Please note that if we do not have the specific cards, we will replace them
with ones of the same type and rarity from another expansion.

Danny Phantump did a breakdown on the hit rates based on 1000+ packs. Seems to be in line with the rest of S&V. Also, the first wave of 151 had some batching weirdness, where people are pulling a lot of duplicate hits. Looks like Pokemon is still struggling with quality control.
And what's wild is I keep seeing people complain about the pull rates being to difficult but that other SV sets are to easy 🫨😵💫

You feel like opening in a regular way. I believe there could be cases with more chase cards but people that open and have many hits I believe more cracks alot of packs and put the good ones online. There is no way chances are that better on Pokemon than Magic. These Illustration if being low chance and hit a specific one must be so low its crazy think they come in every bundle or Trainer box. Prices are low on singles because there is a crazy amouny of cards printed in this set. Everyone sell the first weeks when demand for cards is high. Lets wait when people have played with them etc. I will keep some in good condition. Put in plastic sleeves and for collectors I think this set will last long. Liked your video!
I have pulled 4 mime AR killing me about done just getting the single cards I like the hits are not that great with all the doubles you get in the long run

I have opened 34 packs of this set and got 0 IRs... Shame because I'm a huge Kanto collector.😢
I was able to get 1 etb and I got the gold mee and charzard
Apparently I’ve had dumb luck with my pack opening so far. Opened 2 binder collections and 1 ETB with the main hits being 2 SIR Charizards, 1 IR charmander, 1 gold Mew and 2 Giovanni’s Charisma Full art trainers
First set I’ve been opening since base set when I as young. People keep saying the rates are bad but I feel like if this is bad they must be overdoing the hits on other packs. It’s really not bad but then again I have nothing to compare to.
Seems to average out to about 1 in 3 packs has a hit if you open enough packs
I opened 9 packs and got one Ex.
Batching is an issue with this set, I’ve seen people pulling multiples of the same ir and ex from a case
seeing listings of the etb on ebay for like 80 dollars is ridiculous, scalpers really overestimated on this one lol
It £50 everywhere in the uk, just don’t buy from eBay 🤷♂️

Idk why the art rares are so hard to pull. Previous AR's were more common as well as TG cards. 151 just feels like a genuine cash grab. Sad because the artwork is so good.
The distribution is whacked lol. I literally own more SIR cards than charmeleon and parasect. Still missing gyarados

Yes people are dubbing it the demi god pack. Since you get 3 illustration rare pulls from a pack.
Tons of people I'm sure are just like me and they want to just open packs and the hits are so fun regardless of EV ( expected value ). I just love cracking this set and I want to pull and construct a master set....One of the VERY few sets I want a master set of.
Only problem is a poster needs to be rolled not folded creases suck

A pretty set, but I’m tired of them beating the kanto horse beyond death. I would have preferred some kind of evolutions style set for the second generation.
I dont understand why so many people are saying 151 has horrible pull rates 🧐 I just had my first opening of 25 packs and i got 18 hits! which included the SIR ZAPDOS and CHARIZARD!🤩 (I also include the holo energy cards as hits 😅 which i got 7 of them
151 just has trash pull rates. They know people like Gen 1 so why not milk people on that? Poor pull rate so people will keep buying the booster packs..

The set is meh. Taking out the reverse holo master ball print was dumb. Putting arguably the best 3 cards from the set into a premium collection is dumb. I love the big 3 as much as the next person but you can tell Pokémon running out of ideas. I still haven't opened anything since Celebrations these English sets are mediocre. The Japanese versions on the other hand blows this crap out of the water. Now it's about to be near impossible to get cheap JPN sets so RIP sealed product for me.

This set is not even close to Crown Zenith. Too much hype. Too few money cards.
