    If you put a Shim behind the inner ball bearing on the steering knuckle, it will take the rest of that play. 😊

    I just fitted one of these today too haha.. I have some new metal steering arms too, they take a little more slack out and make it acceptable.

      By steering arms do you mean the tie rods ?

    • @cheggers1973

      @@steviefpv yes, the metal ones available have a little less slop.

    see that you have the hbx 16890 which suffera from the same slack. Mine was even worse because from factory one of the screws of the steering posts was wrong! Thinner and without the metal neck on top which made it have a terrible slack amd right wheel wooble imp9ssible to keep straight line without permanent corrections. Ordered a metal kit but honestly only the right screw corrected it

    Did the slop increase with time or was it like that out of the box? Are the diffs durable?

    I bought the same model from 2 different sellers, both have the same steering problem. :/ Did you guys get it solved with the product on the link¿? Thanks!

    My car came prefitted with a similar system. No slop at all. Maybe they revised it.

    Mine is not as bad as that, so i am concerned that this gets worse with use?

      Same here. Sharp and strong steering in the beginning and then it got more and more loose....
      I upgraded with metal tie rods but I haven't seen significant improvements.
      I have a, stronger servo ready to be installed plus the same metal steering leverage system. The main issue is that I have very big difficulties with unscrewing the 2 bottom screws. I had the same issue with the 14301 and both screws got strapped. Now I'm scared to work on them. Any input? Thnx in advance

    Did you figure out why your one wheel is more wobbly than the other? I had the same issue. One of the sticks where you put the upgrade part on was loose from factory because of a missing washer. Its so much better after tighten it.

    • @BustedRC-wb8de
      @BustedRC-wb8de  Před 5 měsíci +1

      i think it's just because the right wheel has more linkage parts between it and the servo, each joint in the linkage has a little bit of play and they add up. More linkages = more slop/movement.

      Buy a remote with throttle dual rate setting. You only need a receiver with the third channel for lights and VCC output for fans (if present)

      @@buatt Thanks ! I have a Dumborc X6PM-350 ( 6ch ) with a X6F mini receiver that seems to have those features - not too sure about the fans though ?

    Bought one, crashed it. All steering parts broken. Spent several months trying to get metal replacement parts, had to cancel three different orders from fake sellers until I got the parts. Installed them, they rub and don't work properly. FUCKING RIPOFF PRODUCT. Save your money and buy an Arrma Vorteks. You'll be able to find parts, support and the car itself is much easier to work on than these shitboxes.
