  • This topic is our honest review of the CFMoto CForce 600 Touring Soft Storage Bag. I purchased this bag and rack extender roughly two weeks ago from posting this video. Brand new from my local dealer. Bag was $199 before tax and the rack was $99 before tax.
    Please watch the video for my full review. Hope I'm being fair here because I totally support the CFMoto Product line. I own a 2022 CForce 600 Touring that has given me 600 great riding miles so far.
    Drop me some comments on your thoughts, was I fair, was I harsh, was I wrong and please explain why. Would love to welcome the feedback.
    Thank you for your support.

    I got this bag, had high expectations for it. All but one of the clamp things broke off on the first ride. Hated the way it was attached. Ended up anchoring to the rack with stainless u bolts. It also has zero water resistance. I agree, wouldn't buy it again. But I do like the compartments as you said.

      Thanks for adding this comment. I can’t understand how they are allowing these to be sold knowing the issues it has. I think what upsets me the most is now knowing I paid $100 for a rack addition just to attach this bag to which the bag rubs the paint off and creates rust. It’s embarrassing.
      Super disappointed and will seriously consider sharing with my dealer because they’re selling these like crazy. I’m shocked no one else complained??

    Thanks for review. Will be buying hard case for mine.

      Very welcome. I wanted the hard case and now regret buying the soft. Not happy at all on this. I might be contacting the dealer and asking for a refund.

    Thanks for the review. My upper zippers broke on this bag after the second ride (was very dusty).

      Glad I could help! Sorry to hear that. Such a shame for the cost too. I went with the box and am not looking back. Good luck!

    This makes me sad. I just bought a 800xc and they dont make a hard case for them anymore. My only choice was this soft bag for rear storage. You could rry some zipper wax to help the zipper remain easy to use.

      Well, I hate to admit this. I also bought a 2024 800 XC two days ago and had to eat crow and add the bag to my machine due to no hard case. The bag isn’t horrible just the zipper over time can get very stiff to operate. I am going to have to find someway to maintain the zipper as you mentioned that’s for sure!
      My 600 uses their hard case and although it looks like a coffin on the back of the machine, it held a massive amount of items and I’ll miss that.
      Time will tell how this new bag holds up! I just wish CFMoto could have done a better job with how it attaches to the rack. It’s not a snug fit so the bag can bounce around while riding and the metal strap links they should have dipped them in rubber. They run on the rack thus rub the paint off and the rack will then rust. I’m contemplating wrapping the metal strap links with electrical tape to prevent this. Not sure yet.

    Interesting video, however I'm still edging towards this bag and rack due to being about the best option out there at the moment. I was looking at getting the Kemimoto one, but they reckon that it's not suitable for the 625 touring đŸ€šđŸ€”... The strap ring wearing the paint off issue - I thought about getting over this by opening up some black reticulation pipe and slipping it over the bars as a sleeve, just where the straps are.

      The bag isn’t horrible just be sure to lubricate the zipper often is my biggest suggestion. I have to figure out how to strap it more securely cause the bag does bounce while riding over bumps and such!
      Good luck

    Is there anyway you could use Velcro strips with adhesive backing so you don't have strap it down like that?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed rokem

      Doubtful. CFMoto said there is a 90 parts replacement. I’m like I don’t want the same thing because it’s just going to do the same thing. Ugh

    Just a question im in the states and trying to get a hard one but can't find one without it being really expensive. Do you know of an aftermarket one at least that goes bolted in oem?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed 2 měsĂci

      For a soft bag sadly I don’t. After using this bag I prefer a hard case over the bag. CFMoto should have used a flap over zipper design for sure but didn’t on this model cargo carrier

      @josetrejo2304 Pƙed 2 měsĂci +1

      Not a soft bag, a hard cover is what I'm actually looking for as well. I've tried calling a couple dealers and they say cfmoto doesn't make any. And their is one but it's not sold in the states just Canada and Australia smh.

      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed 2 měsĂci

      @josetrejo2304 yes for the 600 models they do make a hard case. The 800 is the model they stopped providing. I have the CFMoto hard case for my 600 touring and bought it from my dealer. Look up on their website the part number and give that to your dealer.

    • @josetrejo2304
      @josetrejo2304 Pƙed 2 měsĂci +1

      Yes, that is what I was looking for the 800, idk why they stopped making them. I've seen a couple of aftermarket ones but cost $700. But thank you for your review. I will be looking to see if I can find a hard cover one and maybe find it.

      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed 2 měsĂci

      @josetrejo2304 oh ok sorry yes the 800 was discounted. Don’t know why. As for another option would require bolting to the rack which is easy. The 600 box will fit on it but will require bolting. The 500 box also should too

    How did you mount your rotopax to the rear ?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed 3 měsĂci +1

      Attached it to the extension rack that CFMoto sells. I don’t recommend doing this as the rack isn’t intended to hold the weight like that. I long removed it since I also backed into it many times forgetting it was there!

    How you set up the gas tank on the back with the soft bag ?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed rokem +1

      I used U bolts and the standard RotoPax attachment. I drilled new holes in the RotoPax attachment technically, modifying it for the U bolts.
      The CFMoto soft bag you have to buy their rack also. The bag straps to the rack. However I don’t recommend the bag and have a review on the channel why I don’t. I also don’t recommend attaching gas tanks to the rear of any machine now from experience!
      What happens is out on the trail we tend to forget it’s back there and thus have a tendency to possibly back into a tree and hit the gas can. I did a few times not knowing how close I was and ended up damaging the mount and also causing the can to produce a leak.
      This is why, when I bought a new can cause I damaged the prior ones, I re mounted it to my front rack which is by far the best place for it.
      Hope that helps

    Yea it does suck how they did those bags. The rack extensions aint got good paint on them either. My front rack extension was showing brown decolorazarion on the plastic rack where its mounted. I guess from water laying under the flat mounting bracket. I pulled them off, front and back and rhino lined them. Then I put black 3m cushioned tape around back rack extension for bag to strap to. I wrapped strap around eyelet twice then buckled it. They hold tighter. But for saftey I also ran two flat bungee cords with rubber on their hooks across bag from left and right side of rack by the back seat there are two open holes in rack, then ran them across the top of bag toward center of back rack between the outside pockets and center pocket to the extention bar and hooked them to that center vertical brace bar. I shouldnt have had to do this but I have owned alot of atvs and bought alot of aftermarket stuff, sometimes u take alittle bit of a shaft but gotta make it work. I aint gonna not use them, hell they werent cheap. And you know what buddy its a atv not a cadillac. But we all take some pride in our toys, but alittle mud and nobody sees it anyway. I also lube my zippers on bag after a washing with pam cooking spray. Wife likes using dawn dishsoap on them. I suppose wd40 would work but may stain bag with dark oily spots.bAnyway just what we did and do. Happy trails.

      Hi Michael wow, this is awesome advice! The biggest shocker to me was the tie down points rubbing into the rack. Like who at CFMoto even approved this setup to even pass QA? It’s baffling.
      Thank you so much for the tips. I’m going to try them. All zippers when exposed to water or moisture do require maintenance. I use a silicone spray on them only to help avoid any breakdown on the material the zippers attached to. But still fantastic info! Thank you!!

    UPDATE! I purchased a 2024 CForce 800 XC and since CFMoto stopped making a cargo BOX for the 800 model, my dealer installed one of these bags for me. I was skeptical about the bag since I owned one on my 600 but let them. Turns out after 3 months, I returned the bag due to a broken zipper and now 3 months later again, two more broken zippers on the replaced bag! These things don’t last at all. Save yourself the headache and avoid.!!! Very disappointing!

    Absolute NO !!! Bought one a couple of years ago and all of the zippers have failed. Absolute garbage. But what do you really expect from the Chinese ?!?

    • @slawdogshenanigans
      @slawdogshenanigans  Pƙed rokem

      What I absolutely loath is you “have” to buy the rack which the bag “has” to attach to. If the bag attachments adjusted for tightness and such then I can see why you need the rack but it doesn’t. Aside from that, the zippers totally killed this for me. Used once and one failed. Sad it’s a really nice bag with allot of room in it.
