  • Short video showing how to install the Rival front bumper onto the CF Moto 800XC. A must for trail riders who want to protect the plastic front end of their machine. This is a pretty straight forward install. I was able to do it in less than an hour including filming. This is a pretty heavy duty tube bumper that also works well as a brush guard. It has a few tabs for mounting dual lights or a small light bar, it also has some protection for the factory headlights to keep brush from scratching them.

Great job!, thanks for taking time to post and being very detailed. Just bought an 800 also. I ordered the bumper. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the great video! I ordered the same bumper for my Cforce 1000. On my way out to the garage to install it right now (just wanted to go through your instructions again before I do).

Glad it was helpful! I like the design of this one better than the CF version.

Great video. I have seen comments about the Rival bumper being a horrible fit. This proves otherwise.

Thanks, hope it helps. The front went on pretty good but the rear was a bit off. It could be luck of the draw, bikes off a bit, bumper off a bit, no worse than other parts on other bikes I have had though.

Is that a Rival brush guard?? Looks way better than the factory one. Great up front installation video.

I believe it is the Rival guard. Much better than the other I looked at with open top horn like tubes, they look like they would snag on stuff. This one feels solid and offers a little protection for the lights.

Thanks. Are those thin bars interfering with the night lights

I never really noticed any negative effects on the lighting.

You installed those upper mounts wrong way. You need to flip those around and left to right and etc. They should go same line as the battery cover side, not pointing straight toward headlights like you have installed. You can notice there is small holes or cuts in both mounts near 90° turn. Cf motos front plastics/trims should fit in those holes under the battery cover.

Hmm, well luckily they seemed to still work the way I mounted them. By all means though if you have a video posted showing this, list the link here and I will pin it. Either way I do not own this machine to make the video again.

The box is a Pelican Vault, 200 I believe. I bought it at local store but can be found online. Nice box but a bit expensive, had this one on my DR650 but sold the bike and put box on the quad. I am looking at the HF ones now, about 25$ cheaper.
