I think it was champion player and coach Didier Deschamps who said that players make mistakes because they think with their feet and it takes time for the message to get to their heads. It may have be Laurent Blanc though.

I still think it's kind of cool that I briefly was in high school with Jason (his senior year was my freshman year, and we sadly never met) - and that Ted Lasso is partly based on his high school basketball coach, who also taught geometry (and, yes, I had him for geometry that same year).
How close is the portrayal to your former teacher? Pretty spot on?

I love jason. Always hve since SNL. I only got into Ted Lasso this early winter and OMG this show is such a gem. Funny, well written, touching, smart. All the characters have such different perspectives on how people deal with things life throws at you, good or bad. I really didn’t expect it to be this deep actually.i laugh and cry so much watching it. So good ♥️

I'm.pretty suite its a joke, lost of people have done it in the pandemic to Madge there ruins not look so dull, & I'm.guessing less than 10% of the people that have stuff up properly just ipened their phone/laptop camera, most set up some sort of office/ desk with awards & photos behind then

I wanna know what Seth thinks now that West Ham is part of the storyline
For a comedy Ted lasso does manage to feel quite authentic as far as the football part goes (even though very little actual football is shown in it). But the premise of the show only works if you forget that football coaching is actually a licensed profession. To coach a team in the English premier league you need a Uefa pro coaching license, something that would be extremely unlikely for Ted would have.
Couldn’t he first get a temporary license as a caretaker since Rebecca fired George?

The show is good at getting to look past a lot . A lot of those men don’t have the physique of professional football players .
