- Heather took the Opal tumbler she just did recently in a video and transforms it into a Mermaid Style Opal Tumbler. It is amazing and one of our favorites!!! FeatherBearDesigns now has our own glitter line and that is what we use. You can find us at the link below. We have to close our shop periodically to catch up on orders but leave your email so we can notify you when it opens.

So so beautiful.
Beautiful work Heather
I was sceptical but this tumbler turned out fabulous!
I just came across this video and love your video and cup! I have not so a peek a boo cup YET..😉 but I’ve watched lots of videos and I really like how you explain what you’re doing. Do you have a video on how you did the opal, I love it! Also I thought I would share, I wonder how you find your vinyl after you paint and do your ink layers and someone suggested in another video to put a dot of hot glue on the vinyl so you can find it. I thought that was a great idea! I just thought I’d share because I would be the one to loose them lol and mess my cup up! 😂 thank you again for sharing your video.
Can you do a video of the final clean up of the cup. Like a round the rim of the cup, etc.
Wesley Marcrum I certainly can!
This would be awesome
I love it.
Hi Heather, did you epoxy before applying decals? and you said that kind of vinyl doesn’t stick... what type again???
Simply Beautiful 🧜♀️
I want this cup 😍😍😍
Tfs very cute be blessed
I love this video and I absolutely love your sparkly alcohol inks. I wasn't able to find your video on how to make them? Is it not on your channel anymore or did I just look past it ?
I did all of the steps, added the decals to be removed later, but after I painted over them, they curled up and the base coat was a hot mess. My transfer tape was sticking really well, but the vinyl wasn't. Ordered some 631 Oracal!!
I love your work but you never show the final products at the end when it's all cleaned up and ready to go. That is what all the build up of making the cup comes down to. That glitter is gorgeous!! Thanks...Hugs from Texas! xx
Kelly W. You are correct and I've been reprimanded for it. I will do a better job of showing the completed product from now on:)
Hey Heather! Ya got reprimanded...Lol ; ) That sounds awesome because you do such amazing work on your cups girlie!! Love how you go through the whole process for us! Whoo hoo... can't wait to start seeing the final product! Have an awesome day...Hugs from Texas!! xx : )
I can't find the video you mention about how you made the alcohol inks. They are soooooo pretty and I would love to watch your tutorial on this.
Great tutorial, have you ever had any issues with cracked tumblers?
At first when you said you were going over the opal cup I was like “nooooo” but the results are amazingly beautiful! I so badly want to try this.... just gotta get all of the ink stuff. Is there link in the previous videos you did of the ink dyes?
Beautiful!!!! How do you stop the epoxy from getting on the foodball and sticking?
Since the Opal was sold out yesterday, I ordered Moonstone. Would that be a good substitution to create this look?
Do you sell your cups? Those are beautiful how much do you sell them for?
Do you have to use the flat white? Would a satin or simi gloss be ok to use?
quick question should the cup be smooth before adding the vinyl?
Omggggggg can you PLEASSSSSSE show finished product? Kinda frustrating not seeing the final look 😭
What was the Allumite color or recipe mix you used to get the rose gold?
What is the name of the transfer tape? Does it work with 651 as well? I am a fellow Silhouette user but make more garments and dancewear but wanted to get into doing cups and adding decals. Therfore I need something that works good for both 651 and 631 matte and glossy finishes. Thanks!
where can i buy one of these? i need this in my life !
Hello I did everything you did in the video and when I pulled off my vinyl 631 it left a sticky feel on where the vinyl was. What can I do to fix this. I am new to doing tumblers. I dont want to mess the paint up. Please help.
Could i use mica powder instead of alumi dye powder to make these inks?
Would you mind telling me how to make the shimmer rose gold?
where can i find the video of you doing the alcohol inks? i cant find it..
I couldn't hear it correctly what type of alcohol did u use?
Can the resin and glitter technique be applied to other drinkware? A pint glass? A ceramic mug? An acrylic tumbler?
I have seen coffee mugs and wine glasses done. Watch the tutorials on FB Tumbler Tutorials
I wish you'd sell the inks you used those are amazing and I know I'd never be able to make them 😕
Ashley Morman of course you can!!! I did a video on them!!
i know this is not this videos topic but i cant find what size footballs you use for 20 and 30 oz tumblers i see there different but i don't want to order to small or to big please help!
Jessica Hurst we use the large footballs for 30 oz and 40 oz and the small footballs for 20 oz. The only place you can find the footballs we use are at the Dollar Tree.
FeatherBear Designs do there is no dimension just small and large
How much do you sell this cup for?
Goregous cup!!!!!
Where can I find the mermaid and scales files?
You can search them on Etsy or google them.
No use in asking a question. You don’t answer any! 🤪🤣 love your work though!
Where did you get the mermaid from if you don't mind me asking
Sheila Quave she cuts her own vinyl
Sheila Quave the file is from silhouette studio
thank you so much. You do beautiful work.
What kind of transfer tape do you use
Rhonda M she said this one was from Swing Design hth 👍🏻
You need an assistant. I'm willing to work for food and shelter lol. I just wanna soak up your wisdom.
The idea was nice, but the result wasn't. The edges at the top and the bottom were not well finished, they had bumps around, besides you covered a lot of the holographic base, that was the main atractive.
Can I use mica to make alcohol ink?
I have added pearl ex to my own acrylic paint alcohol inks. Works beautifully!
