- We all know that the Detroit Pistons may just be the Worst Team in NBA History. But what about the guard once considered the next future of the Franchise?
How bad do you think Killian Hayes is?

People be comparing his career trajectory to Ricky Rubio but that's insulting to Ricky Rubio IMO. Ricky has been a starting caliber player majority of his career and has made a positive impact on teams he's been on and also lasted long in his NBA career.
Bro already a professional player in the age when we still sniffing glue.
Yeah Ricky Rubio knew how to control a game
Where does that comparison even come from exactly? Because they're not alike at all and I agree that it's insulting to Rubio.
Couldn't agree more
@@ant4613 lightstkin european PG, that's all the similarities you need for a comparison in the US
Killian Hayes under points is an infinite money glitch
The past 2 games, he played 25 mins against the Nuggets and 31 against the Kings and he scored 2 and 4 points respectively. That says a lot.
that’s 3 baskets in 56 minutes, evening out to one bucket every 19 minutes. why do they still play him 💀
@@maxnicklesthey were trying to up his trade value, clearly didn’t work 😅
Killian just got waived… watch everyone come to this video to watch why he got waived lol😂
Lol exactly why I’m watchin this video
lol i actually didnt know about him maybe less but im a bit curious why he got waved and then i found this video.
Yup I'm everybody 😂😂
Buddy Boeheim was waived and is back.
Worst game I’ve ever seen last night against Celtics he was the biggest disaster
Facts lol
Those turnovers were fkn crazy. Like probably some of the worst turnovers I've ever seen.
He has had about 100 games that bad
the announcers were begging for cade to come back in LMAO

The thing about Killian is confidence. He plays in a city where no one has anything good to say about him. Never had anything good to say about him since he was drafted. That can be tough on a young player's mental.
Has he ever given Detroit fans reason to say anything positive about him? If you can't handle the pressure of being a top 10 pick, then just don't be a top 10 pick.
@@SuperZangieffah yes…cause he chose himself in the top 10
No confidence is a big thing for killian you can just tell when watching his highlights pre nba. I think killian can be a good 6th man one day but he’s never gonna build that at Detroit he needs a fresh start or a place that’ll put him in the g league to develop his craft and rebuild his confidence.
@@area11_t36 I hear you. And you gotta point. But he very aggressively displayed his ambitions to be a high draft pick for years before he got drafted. And it is very strange that now he has problems handling the high expectations. My take is, that he simply was misevaluated. He never should have been a lottery pick. If he could leave that behind him, he still could be a decent player. But he still is very inconsistent. To a point when you have to ask yourself when enough is enough.
@@DepressedPistonsFan0 Absolutely correct. The current situation with the Pistons is very odd. They have three young guards with "talent" status in Ivey, Hayes and Sasser. And they have a star in the making with Cade who is doing much of the ballhandling. That's simply too much. They have to trade one of the three. And it's debatable whether they should even trade two of the three.
He's only 22 and on the Pistons. It's hard to evaluate anyone on the team. At times, he plays well. Other times, he doesn't. He'd look better on a good team.
lol he has started 150 games and blows
Monty been giving him play time and he's been coming off short compared to Ivey.
Almost any player would look better on a better team then the one they’re currently on.
He’s a major reason they aren’t a better team.
He’s just bad player. Bust. Not NBA quality
Much of the talk before the draft had killian a top 5 lock. I preferred that we had drafted Halliburton but there were a lot of uncertainties of the translation of his game to the next level. Killian had played “pro” so it made sense to draft him. Halliburton had poor shooting that improved throughout his college career to above 40% from 3. The logic of drafting killian was to take the younger “pro” that had a “higher” upside rather than taking an older experienced college player with shown improvement. Plus Halliburton was coming off an injury at the end of his college run. I wanted Halliburton but now live with the worst nba team in history record wise and watch Halliburton thrive ;)
KY should leave the Pistons quickly and join a team that plays basketball. This team is a joke. The coach is a joke. Many NBA teams are jokes when related to passing game. He's been raised in Europe and should be given the chance to play in a team where the ball is shared. IMHO, he is much better than what he delivered so far.
Bruh ain't no one wanted Halliburton he was a bum 😂
Killian hayes would still absolutely fucking blow in Europe lmao@@sloyism
He blamed it on his time in France lol
French/Euro bball translates well to the nba as it is less iso based you can pick up a role quickly and get good court vision, plus good players come from France and all over europe what was he on about ? And even hell it’s basketball
If he was any good he would be good
And Cholet is in the top 3 basketball training centers in France. That is where Gobert and other French NBA players learned the game.
wait did he really blamed it on his experience in France?
@@ChewyGummy17Killian doesn't even talk like that.
He's far from the first Pistons draft pick during Gores' ownership to massively underperform based on draft pedigree and pre-draft scouting. If we saw a large jump in productivity and efficiency with another team, he'd also be far from the first Pistons draft pick during the Gores era to do that.
It's pretty clear who is at fault, and it's not Hayes. Hali would be a bust right now if we drafted him instead - again, look at the Pistons track record as a whole under Gores.
People need to start blaming the right people for this, because blaming Hayes just provides cover for the incompetent clowns and nepotism babies running the org
@@dmore454yeah, to a certain point. He straight up is not a good NBA player
Hayes is literally good at everything but scoring the ball lmao
Send him to any good offensive team with a good development coach and I feel like he could be a decent offensive player. But in detroit I don't expect him to get to much better. That team is fucked rn.
thats what im saying, i feel like Hayes is massively underrated
Hayes is a horrible offensive player. the ONLY thing he has going for him literally is a pretty okay passer and an average on ball defender. that’s literally it. jaden ivey needs to play over him. i’m not saying hayes shouldn’t be in the league at all but i see him as a third maybe second string point guard.
@@travelingxavier I don’t disagree wit that Ivey is obviously better didn’t say he wasn’t but I’m saying hayes is good in other aspects but putting the ball in the hoop 💀
No he isn’t. He can’t defend ,can’t dribble or finish right, terrible in transition, doesn’t get to the rack, average playmaker doesn’t need his best day and doesn’t hustle.
Pistons could've had Tyrese Haliburton
I was not as mad about that pick as I was about Luke Kennard and Stanley Johnson but I *really* wanted Haliburton. I was so excited when he fell and then we took Killian
It kills me that Hali became this good.
Nb knew Hali would be this good
@@edgarcuh9760no but we knew he would be a good team player though
Or Maxey and Bane
SAC DID have Halliburton.
Tbh this guy has been given the longest leash by a team for the past 4 years. Kinda crazy cause they’re so many players that are never given the chance to shine. Pistons are a bum ass Franchise.

@@cycleoflife565yes you can, whole team is trash
Killian is basically Ntilikina but worse
Ntilikina's defense was actually good. U rlly even say the same about Killian tbh😭
Who else is here after he got cut?
Going pro overseas at an early age can have ups and downs. If you're really good, you'll look even better in the eyes of scouts if you can compete alongside grown men. But if you are kinda struggling, you probably should of went to college and played alongside and against others in your age group. This kid thought he was Luka.
Well he was already deep on that overseas track before Luka even went to the NBA, and he lived in France the majority of his life up to that point I think. It was just his and his dad's perception, and tbh it worked out great for him being in the NBA now. The way he plays is very likely influenced by the French/overseas style too, and it landed him a great guaranteed contract as a 7th pick. Had he gone to college here it may or may not work well, and I doubt it would have turned out better for him, especially like topping being drafted higher in the first place.
The only thing I can say is Killian Hayes isn't a bust because a terrible franchise drafted him way too early and then expected him to be good. The Pistons themselves are the true bust. 🙃
Yeh let’s put the playmaking defender at scoring guard and wonder why he can’t flourish
He is not a playmaker can barely dribble and he not locking nobody up he is a bum and bust
Lmfao
What position should he play? He's a lousy point guard, there's no room in the NBA for dudes that can't score.
First both of you are wrong yes put him at the one don’t start him and it’s plenty of room for role players he averages 10 by the way
@@12stnumbers95 it’s his 4th season did u forget he was the starting pg in year one and was a fucking bum😂 he couldn’t even do shit in summer league (played 3 years btw) dawg weak asl if u can’t see that u just a fan of him which I don’t know how that’s possible either he literally garbage undeniably one of the worst players in the league😂

Imma be honest. When piston on their losing streak played against my celtics, theres a guard that was so bad i had to search google for piston roster jersey no.7 to know who he is.
I was like omg who is this?
When I saw him against the Celtics last nite I could only think of how Bill Simmons' boy Kevin O'Connor tried to float him as the top pick in his draft class...(in part bc of the lack of a top consensus known pick that year but still)
I'm pretty sure he would retract that appraisal if he could 😂
I’m not here to defend killian hayes I’ve always thought he was the worst player on the league since his rookie szn but he went to detroit of all places and they traded his mentor (Derrick rose) mid rookie szn and he was injured then the next draft they traded a no.1 pick that also needs the ball in his hands and he has never learned how to win from a true vet hopefully he learns from Monte morris and goes to a win (the wizards and spurs) that could use him he’ll be a tyus/tre jones or Monte morris PG in this league if he tries to be that
Hope one day he leaves Detroit for better team I believe he’ll be decent player
You know what worrying me is I can see Ausar Thompson turning into Hayes because Pistons really can’t develop young players….
I don’t know how he’s still in the rotation dude is absolute trash
Hes not a nba player
Last 6 games now 9-31 fg, 20 assists and 12 turnovers overs and horrible d.
Even if I'm french, I recognize that Killian hasn't succeded yet as a lottery pick. Maybe a trade could help him bouncing back !
From the moment I saw him on draft night, I just knew he would not pan out. He has that Frank Ntilikina vibe.
Watching him against Boston the other day I think he had damn near 3 maybe 4 consecutive turnovers which sparked a Boston run and the coach still kept him in the game I'm like bruh put him on the bench he ain't made a play since he been in the game
Gr8 video! As a Piston fan. I watched in disguise while the Pistons wasted ANOTHER high draft pick on Killian Hayes. Yes he is as bad as his true shooting percentage has stated. He has improved slightly, but it's just a bandaid to a broken arm. But the biggest problem is Troy Weaver. He's horrible in his assessment of talent!
Me personally I think if he would have got use to playing in the us at a earlier age he be a little better not by a lot but playing at high levels does help
He needs to go overseas, and have a Dante Exum type of training. He is literally sub par on all aspect. He aint fast, not a good shooter, not really good defensively. He is lucky he is still in the NBA.
Th G-League may be just what he need to work on his shooting and build his confidence.
He's done it already
Saw this video recommended after watching Hayes go -9 in a game the Pistons actually won by 16.
He is horrible
I'm agree with you and that's why I don't like him! Many CZcamsrs doesn't watched Pistons games and when they made some rebuild Pistons videos, they just rebuilt it in a regular way. How to creat space is the most considerable issue for Pistons managers, and Killian Hayes is the one should be traded firstly.
The media always cheers about his defense….. I must be blind cause I ain’t seen nothing yet 😂😂
man i just don’t understand how we are so bad, we have all this young talent although we do need a true big man and maybe some veteran players but we have to be tanking there’s no way
This dude is a bench warmer on any other team
Bench "warmers" are 12th men nowadays.🤣😅
Not even a bench warmer, dude is ass asf, he shouldn't be in the NBA
Killian is in a very weird position because of the team he’s on cause I don’t like Jaden Ivy and cade, at moments. The team doesn’t really have anyone that’s who is that guy and their new coach isn’t really helping and the Pistons are just throwing players at the wall to try and see what sticks and if they’ll just progress into something amazing because just judging from the Euro league stats he has he was more or less than all around or who could be like a really good six man for you or that back up point guard on a championship team that facilitates and holds down the fort while the main guy is resting. Kind like what shaun Livingston did for the Golden State Warriors but Killian Hayes is the dollar store version of that and they’re just kind of hoping he puts it together and he’s probably not mainly because the dude specializes in nothing that they need. He’s struggling to try and be more for his role, when his skill set right now, isn’t conducive to that which he should have an easier time translating over since he did play in the euro league which would give him high amounts of competition but judging from the Euro league stats, he was mostly a swing player someone they passed the ball to, and he happened to be kinda like what Jordan Poole was on the Golden State Warriors defense in prep for him so he was able to cook a lot easier but since the Pistons don’t have anything or anyone to really stand in front of Killian and take all the pressure off, they’re just pressuring anyone who is the topic and might be a threat so he’s on the defensive plans and he’s just getting stomped out by them And I feel like it’s hindering his growth a little bit because I had high expectations because a lot of people were saying he was a top five top 10 guy and right now he feels less like that more like a dude who should’ve been taken late second round but he’s got a lot of time left and for the most part I think he can progress into that shaun Livingston role of back up point guard who facilitates really well but they need to start constructing this team with a little bit of veteran tape on it because they don’t have anyone to take all the burden off of these young dudes that are still developing Jaden, Ivy, and cade can’t keep caring the shell
Crazy how many blatant carries he got away with in his pre-draft highlights. I know it gets old complaining everything is a carry but c'mon look at 2:56, that kind of ballhandling was never going to fly long term in the NBA
Dude ceiling is DeAron Fox and floor Cam Payne
He’s not that bad, it’s just he doesn’t score enough to play meaningful minutes. Outside of that he’s pretty good. Can pass, great defender, athletic.
Really believed in the kid 😣
The video is well-edited and such, but videos like this would be much improved if the people who made them did more than summarize the subject's wikipedia page.
Worst PG in the entire NBA, don't understand how is he still on the NBA, I know it's the pistons but still he doesn't even has the level for the pistons
He took his leap already, he reached his ceiling
I feel really bad for him bc I really thought going to the draft i compared him to dlo and i thought he can be better than him and be a all star. He was supposed to be the point guard. He was supposed to run the offense and give you 7+ assists and dropping 30pt. I knew it when pistons drafted Cade I knew it was gonna mess him up his growth as a player . I hope he get on a new team and show everyone he an all star
He should adapt his game. Obviously he is a terrible shooter, but e has good court vision and passing. Should move towards being a rondo type player
Buddy Boeheim was waived and has returned. 🤨
I usually don't pay much attention to the NBA til after the Superbowl bt I've been studying a few terrible teams to bet against nd the Pistons among a few others are about to make me plenty of money on that line 😊
Shoutout to the 520 podcast
If other NBA stars are saying this its sad bro he prolly be hooping chillin, but the NBA the more money you make, the easier to find yo replacement
How BAD is Killian?
Me: Flight doesn’t know his name
😂😂😂
Now Killian Hayes is "bye felicia". Good player in a different era. He woulda been good if he were in the 90s where defense and playmaking was important for a point guard. And take note "good" not great and role player at best.
James Wiseman has grown an inch since being called a BUST by some fans.
Fans nowadays are soooo "smart" they are calling players BUSTS before they even finish growing. 🤔🤨
That highlight of his pull up mid range against the Celtics is by far the ugliest left handed form I’ve ever seen 😂
No one cares what you think . Tool
"Passing is above average when compared to the rest of his draft class" smh
He's garbanzo beans
send him to toronto he'll be gucci
He just got waived by the Pistons. I hope he can find a new situation where he can develop into his full potential.
Say what you want but this guy was chosen over: Desmond Bane, Immanuel Quickly, Tyrese Maxey, Cole Anthony, Devin Vassell and Tyrese Haliburton.
I think Hayes would have faired better on the Pistons, if they had more veteran leadership. If Hayes signs with a more veteran laden teams, I think Hayes can be a solid pro
He'd be a all star with Wemby coached up proper
Lmao fuck no
Shiid yall can have him 😂 give us a future second and he's yours
Prononciation of « Cholet » = something like « sholay »
Fair and accurate assessment.
bad enough to get waived.
Pause it on 5:36 to see Killian's mom reacting with such glee at him being drafted. I love moms. They get happier for their kids than the kids themselves sometimes.
lol she is getting paid.
Nobody cares
He’s gonna have the same trajectory as kuzma, everyone will clown him so much for being trash that they’ll love him. He’ll get on a team with good players and even though he’ll still be trash compared to the top performers it’ll be swept under the rug. He’ll cling to whatever championship he can ride along for because he’s not a game changer. But one things for sure, he’ll be making money to support his family and that’s all that matters in this scripted NBA 😂
At what point does Detroit get removed from the NBA?
Shut yo goofy ahh up, pistons have 3 championships and a lot of conference finals and finals appearances. Recent bias is crazy their are teams who don’t even have a cf appearance and sucked just as much as us.
Hayes is Euroleague player
Not even.
Kellian Hayes best fit in Spurs, Wizards or Phoenix 🤔🤔🤔
His best fit is picking up cigarette butts in a parking lot
Killian Hayes is really causing a detriment on growth of the team he’s a good defensive guard but on a team with so many guards what we need is someone to put pressure on them to play efficient or give him the ball, Marcus sadder could be that player putting pressure on Alec, Ivey and Cade to be more efficient he could also play aggressive, Killian can’t score as a guard meaning no one is scared of Killian taking a step while also giving players feeling all I gotta do is play better than him. He need to be on a team that prioritizes defense in the backcourt 1st and foremost like Miami. He would also grow. Unleash Sasser yo he’s best freethrow shooter on team. Auser takes Killian spot guards Cade is passer
You're stuck in the past. There are 15 players. Everybody is using 4 guards or more. Catch up.
@@J.Ragland-hz1er Cade, Sasser, Alec, Ivey I’ve already lapped you this was before the trades and them doing exactly what I said too except the have Fetecchio for Alec Burke now
I don't see how anyone thought he was good from any of these highlights. One of the slowest 6'5 guys I've ever seen, especially playing the 1. The thing that stood out to me is that there is no separation in any of these clips, meaning he would have an impossible time at the next level if he can't get away from under-21 Euroballers, no disrespect. His dad probably knew this, and tried to protect him from having his confidence shattered by NCAA programs. When I heard "his dad felt a certain way about US basketball systems"....I thought, that's probably why your dad went from the ABA to France instead of being a star NBA player. He's turning you into the same guy.
He isn’t athletic at all
I m french and I have to admit, he s not good enough for the nba. He was good when he was young in Europe because of his physical abilities. Once he s against bigger guys, he s lost.
I am just fed up with him. He is the face of Troy Weaver's incompetence. That being said, he has certainly improved. While he just was unplayable at the beginning of his NBA career, he has 10mpg replacement level now.
Wilt Chamberlain entered the NBA at age 23. Killian isn't even 23 yet.
James Wiseman, who some called a BUST, is only 22 yrs old and has grown an inch since entering the NBA.
Some fans are so "smart", they're calling players BUSTS before they even reach their full height and finish growing.
@@J.Ragland-hz1erI guess that's why numerous teams called instantly to sign super Killian after he was tossed.

I'm all about the Pistons stinking. Less competition in the division. But this dude hasn't been coached at all in the NBA because Detroit stinks. His jump shot is wretched, he has court vision but no idea how to use it in an offense. Stick him on even a decent franchise, he'll probably blossom.
Why does it gotta be MY team that tank this horrendously??
I’d rather be in the place of the KINGS than the Detroit right now…
Too bad he got waived today, keep working man. 🎉
Lol Jeff Teague keepin it real! I've got no sympathy Detroit. My team drafted one of the biggest bust's in recent memory (James Wiseman). Good thing we hit on Podz last year. I'm sorry but Monty does NOT deserve to be paid more than any other coach (except Popovich) in the league.
