I watched a kpop random play dance with my sister who doesn’t know anything about Mamamoo. And every dance she liked was a Mamamoo one because she said that it looked like they are having fun and that a forty year old man didn’t make it
Mamamoo without difficult choreo is the 2nd female group from all generations with the most songs with over 10 million unique listeners on Melon chart. they have almost 30 songs. the 3rd doesn't even have 20. not even a competition. 1st is 2ne1 with 34 songs. Mamamoo compete with 2ne1 = the biggest 2nd gen group instead of 3rd gen groups like them.

they're not underrated. they don't make live shows in the West so of course they won't have the fanbase of BTS. Mamamoo youtube channel has 6 million subscribers. BTS has 65 million. it's not that they're underrated. they have small fanbase compared to other groups. Mamamoo is the only female group that has 14 performances on Immortal Songs. the 2nd female group has 4. 14 vs 4 is not even a competition, and Mamamoo made 5 performances in 2015. and the show still want them but they don't go cause they said it's too stressful. Mamamoo is the only female group that performed on Best of the Best special episode. in 2020 Soribaba awards the narrator introduced Mamamoo as "vocal queens with impeccable live vocals". they were the 2nd most requested group to perform to festivals. they won Queendom. explain to me how they're underrated cause i don't see it. the company promote them just fine. the CEO said that in 2020 they were gonna do live shows in the West, but covid appeared. Mamamoo would perform to Coachella for start, but with covid they couldn't go, and Coachella was canceled anyway.

unfortunately choreo > vocals. especially now in 2022. whoever has the best choreography wins. and you won't listen live now cause groups focus too much on choreo so it's difficult to sing live so they either lipsync or autotune the sh1 t out of it.
