It seems like a lot of notes were omitted. Specially in chorus.

it's a video game, not every note is mapped 1:1

The drum notes are all there, there's just an extra percussive instrument (a shaker) that's been omitted. Hence, on those bits in the chorus where you think there should be more yellow notes, there actually shouldn't.
