@@B_HarTz It's a real thing, it actually happened to my aunt she was worried she'd be bald but luckily after her covid went away her hair started growing back
I have been on Nutrafol for over six months. (Thyroid problems) and its been good for me; yeah, it’s expensive, but well worth it, in my opinion, and no, I didn’t have any of these side effects. I also use their shampoo and conditioner
Take anything with caution. It worked extremely well for me but everyone is different. My hair is filling in all over my thinning spots after just three months. The quality of the existing hair improved dramatically as it was probably nutrient deficient. I was consistent for two months, stopped taking it for a few months, then just started back a month ago. Even with inconsistent use, my hair grew like crazy. It’s expensive for most people but worth it for many, however, you could probably skip a few days here and there and do some dose dropping here and there but keep the concentration up. I take regular multivitamins on days where I don’t take this. I also cut it down to two sometimes.
I used it but to take 4 large pills a day was a lot. I have fine thin hair and I was around 49 when I tried it for three months. It did help with thickness but with that being said if you have a thyroid issue be careful. It can cause your bloodwork to be off when checking your T3 and T4 levels.
I’m currently using it to get my vitamins in since it contains many important ones- it’s easier for me to take 4 of these a day than go through a whole cabinet of vitamins
I’ve been taking it for one year, 2 pills a day taking more than that because it hurts my stomach. My hairline is so full, so many friends have commented how much my hairline has grown in.
My hair responded very well, but I began to get breakouts and a bad rash and had to stop taking it. I did not realize that the marine collagen was the problem. I am allergic to shellfish. Thank you for this video.
Thank you for your honest review!!! I am going through menopausal and hormone Imbalance and on top COVID hair side effects. I was going to buy it until I saw your review. I’ll wait until I visit the doctor.
My experience with doctors on this topic have gottem me little to no help. Blood tests and referrals to dermatologists all just ended up a recommendation of using Rogaine.
After starting Nutrofol , my hair began falling out even more! I stopped it and the hair loss slowed dramatically. That being said, a good friend of mine is a hair stylist and she has several clients on it that are singing its praises. Everyone is different. Love this unbiased look by Dr. A on this product. Helps consumers make well informed choices. Please keep up the quality videos Dr. A!
Thank you for the kind feedback. Ive heard mixed results as well! You are right though, everyone is different and what works for some may not always work for others in the same way, which is perfectly fine! Good ol’ fashion trial and error until you find a method that sticks. Until then, keep being amazing! 😃
you cant expect a lot from just one method. Hair thinning is complicated. hormones, circulation, toxins, shampoos, nutrition all play a role. Somehow western medicine has made us expect to just take a pill and it solves the problem. I don't think we are there yet - but I do share methods that are verified on my channel. And ones that don't.
@@ArsalanAspires I just have a question that I was wondering can I use Nutrafol if I don't have any hair loss or hair problems?. I want to grow my hair longer and faster
I'll be 30 this year and I've been combatting thinning on the top of my head and a receeding hairline for a few months since I noticed a drastic change over the last 2 years. I have no preexisting conditions and have been using similar ingredients found in Nutrafol already. I ordered a bottle today to see if this will help fill the potential gaps in my supplementing. Hopefully I get some more results using this.
So I bought a 2nd months supply to continue taking the Nutrafol. Definitely noticed new hairs growing on my hairline and it seems my hair is regaining some thickness.
My dermatologist recommended nutrofol a while back so I took it for 6 months and then got lazy. I didn't experience any side effects. It definitely didn’t stop my hair loss but did seem to increase hair growth in certain areas and help retain thickness. Bottom line is that i have no clue if it actually works
My dermatologist recommended Nutrafol for my hair thinning, but I’m already taking several of the Nutrafol ingredients in other supplements. Also, I’m getting reasonably good results with finasteride + pumpkin seed oil and rosemary oil. The $88 price is outrageous. I’m going to pass.
I used Nutrafol for a year and it didn't help my hair thinning and I didn't experience and hair growth. I wasted SO much money! In addition, while I was using Nutrafol my hair started falling out in clumps in the shower. I know that the excessive shedding may not have been caused by Nutrafol, but it still didn't help my androgenic alopecia.
I've been using it for 3 years. My hair loss is due to stress and hereditary alopecia. I would say that it is noticeable if I stop using it. More hair sheds and clumps in the shower. I don't see a lot of hair growth. I've been using hair oils for growth and strength.
I used nutrafol daily for the past 2 months (4 pills/day). It seems good but it caused side effects (similar to propecia) such as loss of libido, loss of morning election. Never got morning erection for the past 2 months, no interest in sex at all. When I stop nutrafol for one or two weeks, I’m back to my normal.
At the moment, I'm taking Geritol, pumpkin seed oil soft gels, saw palmetto, L-Lysine, curcumin, and beef liver caps daily. And will stick with that to see if it helps with my alopecia that's spreading from the top to the right side of the front of my head. I still have enough hair to cover it. But if after 6 months I see no difference then I'll try the nutrafol. And I have also just dedicated the rest of my life to exercise. Serious exercise including meditative yoga, barre, jumping on a mini trampoline, using the Sunny Row-n-Ride squat machine to strengthen my lower body and knees, treadmill walking, cycling, and weight lifting. I just set up my mini gym at home and are just getting started. My diet is low carb, just eating meat and fruit, so my diet is carnivore. I'm basically taking the ingredients in Nutrafol separately. Including iodine as I take lugols iodine daily, and the marine protein with eating sardines everyday. But nutrafol has some ingredients I'm not taking, so I'll see what happens in 6 months.
This worked for me esp after covid hair loss. I took it for 11 months. It even made my eyelashes grow. It's expensive.. had to stop buying it. After 6 months I sent a hair sample and they did a hair analysis and really broke down the hair to see what nutrients and vitamins I was lacking. NEVER HAD ANY OF THOSE SIDE EFFECTS... NEVER ONCE
@BLacK HarTz it's not blaming covid... 3 months after having Covid people report severe hair loss. Its called telefilm effluvium... im not about to go back and forth with someone who is extremely ignorant, and someone I dont know. I have a clean bill of health and have no health issue like u suggest... get a life and move on from my comment
@@B_HarTz It's called Covid hair! Research before you comment!! smh Alot of people ran fever the duration of Covid and according to my research fever can cause trauma/stress to the hair follicles on the regular but add fever brought on by Covid can be really damaging.
Oh and I never want to go through menopause. Putting that off would certainly be helpful to hair quality and growth. There is a video topic for you, Doc.
My question is what heppens if your only take one capsule a day instead of the four. Would it make a deference (most likely yes but how) and give your body time to get use to the new routine? Also it would last 4 months instead of just the 1 month.
Regular docs have little regard for supplements and are paid for pushing big pharma. The precaution to talk to the regular doctor is covering himself legally as well as keeping him from getting censored
ty so much for posting this. you really mangnified the issues with the studies that the common consumer will ignore. Can you do a review on Foligrowth?
I changed my mind on nutrafol but is considering Cellabeauty by MD Dina Anderson. It's not full of all them ingredients but has probiotics and moringa for weight loss. Can you please tell you thoughts. Thanks
Thank you so much for the very informative video, I really appreciate your feedback and knowledge on what is in the product, and also you said to see a specialist to find out the cause of hair loss, which is a great idea.
Glad it was helpful! Yes, every one will have a unique case that is tied back to a different hair loss issue. It's important to find out what your cause is.
I really apprecicate Dr. Arsalan how you went over the indgredients comparing what the possiblities could be depending on our bilogical systme I just finished taking a Saw Palmetto supplement I swithched to a different mixture recommended by Dr.Berg because I'm also using his hair serum thank you and yes, I would be interested in seeing more of your videos
It was a total waste for me. I paid $88/bottle and took Nutrafol for 6 months. What a waste 🙄 I was deeply disappointed. I didn't experience any side effects, nor did I experience any hair growth. I would never waste my money on Nutrafol again.
Does anyone trust the FDA anymore? I Don't. I also want to say since my wife has been taking this, she totally loses it mentally when she has her period. She was fine until she started taking this crap. Has anyone else noticed this side effect?
All supplements and natural remedies are not regulated by the FDA, and they should be. If you thing that pharmaceuticals are ripping everyone off, there is nothing like the vitamin and natural supplements for scams. You can put anything in a capsule that is so called "natural" and say it does anything or everything. There is no regulatory agency that stops this nonsense. Legitimate independent studies done with placebo/control groups prove this all the time.
Great video! I was thinking of giving this natural supplement a try over the medications (Finasteride, Minoxidil).. It just seems a bit safer with the whole E.D side effects potential, I think I'd rather go bald
@@muza45 just would rather go bald than not have my dick work properly. Kind of defeats the whole point of having hair. But if Finistride is working for you and you have no issues than more power to you. I'd just rather not take the chance ✌️
I know this is about nutrafol, but even jlo's product caused more breakage in my hair. The dr. I have an apt for dermatologist. Im glad you mention thyroid issues. I have low zinc lately, n the iodine supplement i take does not cause the side-effects you mention.
iodine will cause long term damage if you take too much. there is plenty in the food, and unless your doctor prescribed it to you, it should only be for a set period of time. otherwise thyroid will mess up totally in a few years.
Im only taking 12.5 mgs, i thought it was ok, because i had stopped regular iodine salt intake a long time ago. I was on that before the Thyroid meds. Cant recall when i started it. Maybe 1.5yr. Im getting scalp biopsy at the end of the month to reveal more. It didnt start breaking off and rubbing off until tried jLO's her product. I also didnt stop dyeing my roots before i started the spray. It could also be the np thyroid, but I will find out soon. Thank you for your concern. I did stop dyeing my hair after the breakage, obviously.
And needless to say, you can just buy some of these supplements individually and leave out the unnecessary ones for way less money. There is no medical evidence that supports marketing claims that collagen supplements or drinks can improve hair growth (there is only weak evidence that it helps joints).
Hi, I’m experiencing a little bit of hair thinning. Do you know safe product for me to use to fix that? It would be really, really big help to know what products they are safe for me to use
I am 67. After covid i had noticeable hair loss. I looked at a picture of myself and said where the hell did my hair go. I am not a woman that primps much. But hair loss is upsetting. I have been taking nutrafol for 6 weeks. Last week I went to a dermatologist to look at my scalp. He said he saw a good amount of dark nubs coming in. 😊 I want to address the gross part of side effect...diarrhea. I have problems with constipation all my life and I always have polyps after a colonoscopy. But since I have taken this I am remarkably regular and happy. My recent colonoscopy (after taking this). No polyps. I am a high stressed woman. What ever this stuff is is working.
My daughter has PCOS and my hair is just fine. But wondering if maybe just stick with collagen and saw palmetto we already use. 88 bucks is a huge commodity monthly speaking.
Asking as an actual question. If you make something like this, why wouldn’t you fund the study? I see how it looks, but I could also see wanting to look for funding so that you could have this study done?
do you even have a clue what it costs for something like that? even after funding is done, there is no way to recover the money for any natural product like vitamins or herbs. This is why there is never public studies done. the ones that are done are private and never shared - they use them to make similar versions of the natural ingredient so they patent it. where have you been all this time?
If Nutrafol causes stomach upset , would you recommended building up to the daily serving recommendation to get adjusted to it, or just look for another solution?
@@chinadoll7951 What @Danny Lopez says! The directions say to take Nutrafol with food. I’m starting with one caplet a day, which is not what they recommend, I know. If the one caplet a day will at least keep me from losing any more hair, $88 every four months would be more doable for me.
I do not have hair loss, and I just want to take 2 capsules of nutrafol every day for 6 months and continue to take 3 capsules a week forever Do you advise me do this routine ?
Why to fix something that’s not broken? Better to eat a nutritious diet, take some vitamins instead of wasting money on this expensive supplement that might not even do anything for you.
Wonder if taken in half dosage, say 2 instead of 4 capsules would reduce the risk of iodine and zinc overload and still be beneficial for hair growth maybe at a slower rate?
I grew up outside of Boulder, Colorado. And I've tried every diet from lemon/maple syrup cleanses to macro diets. And let's just say through the 70's, 80's, and 90's I probably did every "diet" I thought would "hook me up" to a better more "aligned" me. But the one thing I've learned over the decades is that there is SO MUCH "Designer Food" out there that it makes for a real money driven Industry based on generating and cultivating a sense of inadequacy and the tool is advertising - telling me I needed this exact one thing and everything about me and my life would change. Let me give you an example. Haven't eaten it in years and I can cool walk 11 miles in 5 hours without it... "Super Blue-Green Algae" (now that was a pyramid scheme...don't get me wrong I like the product sort of seeing as I haven't used it a decades but walking 19 miles in a day isn't unfeasible for me as a 60 year old.) And let's not forget the scammy side of advertising basic things such as water which is now known as "Gluten Free"...how many products are advertised that have nothing to do with gluten as being gluten free? And how many people actually suffer Celiac Disease? Now it's a sure-fire selling point. And that for me is the focus of your video here. It's why I hit the subscribe button after finally liking many of your videos. That almost ALL things I tried are advertised as being "being a game-changer" but in reality are not game changers at all...And the promise of losing weight, having more vitality, shinier hair and clearer skin was a "sell" is an illusion - that if I just buy this supplement and boom I wouldn't/won't have to do the work. And here's the kicker - "I'd be YOUTHFUL" - F*CK that word! It's a knife stabbed into the heart of every person afraid of becoming old. It's like saying to that person "you aren't youthful, but you will be if you take this 'supplement'" As MC5 would sing "Kick Out The Jams" F$CK that "dolla, dolla bill y'all"(Wu-Tang). In advertising "YOUTHFUL" is bankable, it's a CURSE! It's a real Mean-Spirited word. But if you add that to your ad, if you say vitality, if you offer the basic jargon that's allowable under the law (as in how do we define "Youthful") and all of these "products" are just variations of well-designed money-making machine/Industry appealing to the need of insecure people to feel like they are YOUNG and staying "Youthful." As if eating the "right" foods can prolong the inevitable - I'll say the DIRTY WORD - gasp "AGING"...but honestly...if we cook our food (not do take out our microwave it out of a box but chop and cook), we do our exercise, we live pro-active and positive lifestyles integrated with good mental health and if we don't get beset by say, Alzheimers or Cancer or hit by extreme physical tragedy...for the most part one doesn't really need supplements like "Nutrafol" eating is just one thing folks: COMMON SENSE!!! My grandparents lived until they were old, and they didn't touch vitamins. Old...they worked until they were way into their seventies old, ha! Integrated with life. Boom, physical exercise...fresh air, good food. If we use our Common Sense we all find what works for us individually and if we listen to ourselves we shine...thanks for keeping it REAL!
Although that was one, long a55 comment, you are spot on!! I’m trying to grow old gracefully, I had “my day” as they say and if truth be told, “my day” was ONE HELL OF A RIDE!! Yet, all good things must come to an end, and it’s time to pass the torch to the younger generation. I believe in living my best life and glad I survived “my day” to have the memories and stories to tell.
I’m shedding alot of hair since I was in a car accident. This was in Oct. it’s still shedding. Could these vitamins help with that. I know it’s due to trauma but if this keeps up I won’t have any hair
There's this section of my forehead where I got this moon/star tattoo a long time ago that's been slowly going & I've been eyeballing for about 5yrs now. The rest had thinned a bit already; I was starting to get "Jim Jordan hair" and tried this. On my 3rd month now & it's grown back in...my hairline has now re-filled in reaching just above the tattoo. The rest is growing in as well, and I've even got new hair growing in places where it wasn't before, which is odd, but whatever! I've got this "slightly" painful spot/smallish boil that won't heal (of course, I've been picking at it!) near the back of my head though. It showed up with a cluster of NON-painful "bumping" in my scalp, which I assumed were from old hairs growing anew underneath scalp-skin that had grown over them......and was now popping up back through. Once I picked at them at bit and they all came off (kind of like dandruff), the thicker my hair seemed.........but this one in the back is just annoying and has been perpetuating for a week now; not getting larger or worse or anything, just won't completely go away. Would that count as "acne"? Just...."scalp acne"? I take the prescribed 4 a day. Anybody else had this problem?
After receiving bimonthly injections into one eye (for wet macular degeneration) for eight months, much of my hair suddenly fell out within a period of a week or so. So I buzzed my nearly waist-length hair to 3/8 inch. I keep it in a one-inch pixie now, because I'm still waiting for the remaining eye to start going. The doctors assure me that it will happen to the second eye, although no one can explain why it hadn't happened in almost two years. So-o-o-o, my questions are: 1. After a year of no injections, I see no regrowth of fallen hair. Am I SOL? 2. Or is it possible that NUTRAFOL, or something else, could help? Thank you. I just discovered you. You have a new subscriber.
It'll be a combo of things. And you don't need a subscription at $88 per month for nutrafol...do your research. The B Vitamin family will help you but be careful because it can be toxic (think energy drinks have B vitamins like 6 in them.) Dilute rosemary oil, thyme and castor in some jojoba oil and apply it to your scalp. Research your diet. Get more exercise. Sleep better. It's cool you have a pixie. My friend never got their hair back after cancer. But then they never tried to regrow either and their eating habits are atrocious, not very much exercise either. But still, do the research. Stimulation of your scalp will help. Blood flow. The Rosemary will help but make sure you dilute it, it's strong. The more exercise the more blood circulation you will have everywhere including your scalp and that'll get your tired hormones and amino acids and body chemicals to move around and get used properly and stimulate your system to respond better...and the sweat cleanses your body and all of this will help. I can't imagine how hard it must be to get those shots. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Can't promise your hair will come back...just suggesting these things will help because they've helped me. And they ARE REAL and not fads. Also, like the doc Arsalan said make sure you check with your doc on any added supplements. It's called CONTRAINDICATION. Supplements can mess with your meds. And some ingredients can have super harmful side effects...
add scalp massage daily for 30 minutes without fail, whiclst taking daily collagen powder (bovine based), and taoist soap for scalp 2 times a week. You should see this fixed in about a month. I been through similar and its helped me tremendously. I think someone else mentioned similar regimen in the comments.
It is said that it helps with inflammation in the body which leads to hair loss. Does anyone know if the Nutroful tablets or it's shampoo relieve itching and burning of the scalp or the hair loss caused by CCCA?
If your using any oils or grease in your scalp I can say this was causing inflammation which caused a lot of itching and soreness to the touch of my scalp…I keep all oils from my scalp and the inflammation calmed down immediately also keeping the scalp itself very clean is key my dermatologist gave me a few topicals which help with inflammation of the scalp so far so good …
@crystalwarrington4352 Thanks. I had received some topicals as well but they were temporary relief. I also listerine on my scalp recently when I had a terrible flare-up and it soothed the burning of the scalp.

My experience with doctors on this topic have gottem me little to no help. Blood tests and referrals to dermatologists all just ended up a recommendation of using Rogaine.
Hormonal imbalances caused by a vitamin deficiency.
I’ve been taking Nutrafol for years, and I am acne prone, but not have broken out with this.
What would you recommended as the best thing for hair regrowth
What's the situation now after 4 months?
Updates?
So I bought a 2nd months supply to continue taking the Nutrafol. Definitely noticed new hairs growing on my hairline and it seems my hair is regaining some thickness.
@@MikeyohMikeyHow much is it a month…?
@@iceman18ize getting it between $84-$87 USD
Were you taking the one for women or for men ?

How is it going so far?
@@HeRantz Not good. Still thinning.
@HappyBeeTV-BeeHappy are u considering Nutrafol?
@@kyroroma2971 No.
And the older population can likely afford it. If it’s makes my hair lush and healthy I’m buying it. ❤
NEVER ONCE
Covid hair loss ? 😂people blaming covid for all health issues
@@B_HarTz Rude and ignorant comment. A LOT of people experience CATE. Look it up.
What happened after you stopped talking them? Did you notice your hair starting to shed?
@@B_HarTz It's called Covid hair! Research before you comment!! smh Alot of people ran fever the duration of Covid and according to my research fever can cause trauma/stress to the hair follicles on the regular but add fever brought on by Covid can be really damaging.
Oh and I never want to go through menopause. Putting that off would certainly be helpful to hair quality and growth. There is a video topic for you, Doc.
This product has helped me too with hair loss.
My question is what heppens if your only take one capsule a day instead of the four. Would it make a deference (most likely yes but how) and give your body time to get use to the new routine? Also it would last 4 months instead of just the 1 month.
I’m agreeing with this video ❤
Everyone have to talk with their doctor before taking hair supplies medicine 👍
Regular docs have little regard for supplements and are paid for pushing big pharma. The precaution to talk to the regular doctor is covering himself legally as well as keeping him from getting censored
ty so much for posting this. you really mangnified the issues with the studies that the common consumer will ignore.
Can you do a review on Foligrowth?
Great idea! Happy I could help! 😃
Arsalan how you went over the indgredients comparing what the possiblities could be depending on our bilogical systme I just finished taking a Saw Palmetto supplement I swithched to a different mixture recommended by Dr.Berg
because I'm also using his hair serum thank you and yes, I would be interested in seeing more of your videos
Which brand and how many mg of Saw Palmetto do you take?
It was a total waste for me. I paid $88/bottle and took Nutrafol for 6 months. What a waste 🙄 I was deeply disappointed. I didn't experience any side effects, nor did I experience any hair growth. I would never waste my money on Nutrafol again.
Sorry to hear that! 😕
I'll pass on it. I rather have short hair then whiteheads on my face.
Can’t say. I’m post menopausal.
Hide those from her so she doesn’t get mental
The FDA doesn't regulate supplements. Everytime it's threatened, the industry gears up to fight it.
Great information, thank you. Are you a dermatologist?
My derm recommends nutrafol
have you tried it yet? if yes, any results?
Great video! I was thinking of giving this natural supplement a try over the medications (Finasteride, Minoxidil).. It just seems a bit safer with the whole E.D side effects potential, I think I'd rather go bald
Why
@@muza45 just would rather go bald than not have my dick work properly. Kind of defeats the whole point of having hair. But if Finistride is working for you and you have no issues than more power to you. I'd just rather not take the chance ✌️

I know this is about nutrafol, but even jlo's product caused more breakage in my hair. The dr. I have an apt for dermatologist. Im glad you mention thyroid issues. I have low zinc lately, n the iodine supplement i take does not cause the side-effects you mention.
Thank you for sharing this!
iodine will cause long term damage if you take too much. there is plenty in the food, and unless your doctor prescribed it to you, it should only be for a set period of time. otherwise thyroid will mess up totally in a few years.
Mine is post Chemo drug, I believe. Never lost hair until now. And my scalp hurts in places. Hopefully this will help
Very informative video doctor stopped me from wasting my money 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Dr! Could I use Nutrafol men vitamins in addition to the Hims topical finasteride & minoxidil spray review in conjunction?
yes
Thanks for the intelligent and very helpful review.
You are most welcome!
Nutrafol did not work for me and I tried it for almost a year.
For this cost with the amount of cons id rather take a good quality multivitamin and healthy diet and exercise for hair growth
Thank you for this review. It shined a light to a dark underwrite
And needless to say, you can just buy some of these supplements individually and leave out the unnecessary ones for way less money. There is no medical evidence that supports marketing claims that collagen supplements or drinks can improve hair growth (there is only weak evidence that it helps joints).

What ever this stuff is is working.
i’m under Dermatologist care trying it out. She drew labs also to see what kind of hair loss i have as well. 2nd day and no issues thus far.

Where have I been? I'm happy to find this video at this time!!!! I'm a new sub!!!

If Nutrafol causes stomach upset , would you recommended building up to the daily serving recommendation to get adjusted to it, or just look for another solution?
I am taking it now and it bothers my stomach as well. I’m trying to find a solution to it.
Take it at dinner if you take it first thing in the morning it’ll bother you
@@chinadoll7951 What @Danny Lopez says!
So what your advice we use it or not ?
The price tag keeps.me away...that's ridiculous. Can you do one on Viviscal?? Thank you
I lost piles of hair while in isolation in Uk ( though not having covid) because of the stress should I go for it?
What pyramid scheme was it
You lost me, n your name fits well...rambling rose hmmm. So you tried nutrafol? Or you think green algae helps w hair?
Although that was one, long a55 comment, you are spot on!! I’m trying to grow old gracefully, I had “my day” as they say and if truth be told, “my day” was ONE HELL OF A RIDE!! Yet, all good things must come to an end, and it’s time to pass the torch to the younger generation. I believe in living my best life and glad I survived “my day” to have the memories and stories to tell.

So-o-o-o, my questions are:
….you’re growing an eye ?
add scalp massage daily for 30 minutes without fail, whiclst taking daily collagen powder (bovine based), and taoist soap for scalp 2 times a week. You should see this fixed in about a month.
