TEA conservators clarify their role in Socorro ISD, not a state takeover but a partnership

The two conservators appointed by the Texas Education Agency to oversee the Socorro school district spoke to the media for the first time to explain their role.
The Socorro Independent School District accepted a conservatorship back in March due to multiple issues facing the district, including a $33 million deficit.
