Even vocal coaches agree that Exo are phenomenal group, the fact that there are people who call them overrated simply for their own preference to different groups and taste in music is really saddening. It's fine if they don't like Exo's music but to call them overrated is a big understatement. Exo has been trained as one of the most best vocalists of kpop which is really evident since their debut album and to this day they still keep improving. You don't even need to be an expert to realize how phenomenal they are at their job.
The fact that people think they only care for vocals and visuals when in fact their choreography and rapping are as rough if not the most hardest.
Masters of their voices. EXO is a gift to us all.
I get goosebumps every time I hear Miracles In December. The 3 Main vocal's from EXO are amazing.
And not to mention many times groups have been called out for copying EXO over the years of stuff they were doing and I also called trendsetters they made a lot of things popular that groups used in their videos. Just like the Bluetooth light sticks EXO was the first to do it group music and solo music always different they're not afraid to try different things that's why they get so much love
With EXO's level of popularity globally, which is lesser that other groups, I still consider them as downright underrated. With all due respect to the popular Kpop acts in the west, their skills and professionalism are not on par with EXO. If EXO was promoted well, Kpop should have been more respected rather than deemed as bunch of rapping pretty boys by the music industry.

My brothers EXO overrated is not a thing when it comes to them not that you're saying it but when it comes to them they have the hype for a reason. That's why they are called Kings of vocals and kings of K-pop and emperor of K-pop they are already icons and legends with the amazing career they have outstanding. They are literally praised by the industry every time they do something different groups from different generations of Love EXO and the new groups always have them as role models who they look up to EXO they earned those titles given to them for 11 years they've been going strong and getting better and better. Literally producers always say EXO is always doing something different what other groups do the same thing but not them that's why they are my favorite group of all time with the best discography in my opinion

The words "Exo" and an "overrated group" doesn't belongs in a one sentences. They are the vocal kings of kpop. Growl was a one take video. I recommend you their killing voice performance
Also, their live performances are better than the album versions. Vocals and performance are unmatched.

Me...never like kpop until I knew EXO in Dec 2021, finally I admit one the most talented kpop group I ever know and I love them. EXO never overrated...they deserve it

No. EXO isn't overrated. Infact compared to their incredible talents, the attention they get is too little.
They are not overated like many groups they are really talented & off topic damn I feel really sorry for some members specially Chen in growl like he get very minimum screen time even at those high notes he is singing he is not shown.
2013 the era when everyone wants to be exo. The group that broke that 12 yr drought of album sales. The year of the 1st million album sales. Basically one of the 1sts.

Well some groups are kpop are definitely overrated thanks to people who are just going with trend.... But since 2015 I heard EXO and so many other groups but i think EXO is the only group who makes me feel like home.... They are definitely not overrated or else they would have topped everything😂

The Title tracks are brilliant but their vocals are even much better showcased in their B-side tracks!!
Since then they have become the benchmark for every idol who will debut, and marked by generational changes, they succeeded in breaking into a new era where a boy band is not only visual and dancing but also vocal. and the concept of children in school uniforms has become an icon for every newcomer idol, as well as their other concepts 🥰

Hi! Is EXO overrated? Definitely NO!!! EXO deserves all the appreciation given them. They have been recognized for their skills & their status has proven that they earned all the high praises. Although, I think, there certainly are Kpop idols (group or solo) who are overrated. Thanks for your reaction.

Overrated? Definitely not EXO, they somehow, not actually underrated but definitely don't get the recognition they deserve worldwide. The reason why some people who new to EXO saying how come there's a group like them that are not known worldwide.

Growl, Overdose, Miracles in December...can you imagine them singing EVEN BETTER than this?! Yes! they can. Watch Killing Voice. And then you will see why they are now called EMPERORS, not just Kings. Overrated? please. There's like an "informative" video that was made by Jonathan Miller, THE RETURN OF EXO. In which he explains why they deserve their title. Just facts and not simple good wishes. They never compare to anyone else, they don´t need to do that. They are always overcoming themselves, and their last comeback is proof of that. The EXIST album is MAJESTIC. They are not good, I agree. Now, they are MAGNIFICENT.

I think "overrated," are those trying hard with their voice, those that has no natural voice/vocals, for example BTS, why? They're not vocal group but trying to have vocals, lol! Their fans makes them overrated, lol! BTS fans don't tell me u did not, ur so undenial, do not accept, u live in the imaginary dream, lol? I say that because it's the facts not being toxic. Toxic are those always insist and pushed things it isn't, lol!!!
